    Datatables has an option to select the number of records shown per page. The default value starts from 10, 25, 50 and 100. How can I change it to start from 5 instead of 10? 10 records is a bit too much and takes a lot of space in my current design. Thanx! http://datatables.net/

    I use Fiddler for intercepting HTTP traffic when using IE or Firefox. Now that I'm using chrome for most of my day, I would like to be able to see the http traffic using something like Fiddler. What do chrome developers use ? I prefer something automatic like Fiddler but something that needs config, etc would also help. P.S : I'm on windows vista 64-bit HOME PREMIUM, if that's important.

  • Java - How to force resize JCheckBox to prevent clicking the empty space ?

    When i create a JCheckBox in my Swing application i leave some extra space after its label, so if the JCheckBox label is for example 100 pixels width, i make the JCheckBox 120 pixels for safety. The problem as at runtime, it's not nice that a user can click on the empty space after the JCheckBox label and it can be actually clicked, like this : I wonder if there is a way to resize the JCheckBox at runtime to exactly fit the text inside it, depending on the font type/size used ? This seems fancy a bit, but i like to make things look perfect :)

  • PayPal Payments Pro Sandbox requires membership?

    Do I need to pay the $30 just to play around in the sandbox for Website Payments Pro? I'm trying to get Active Merchant working in Rails, and it's giving me an error "invalid merchant configuration"... after digging around a bit it says I need to "accept the billing agreement" and/or sign up for the Payments Pro first. So, do I need to pay the $30 just to test in sandbox? Or is there another workaround for this error?

    I have quite a number of user controls that I need to embed in Umbraco macros. Each user control has quite a bit of in page javascript that needs loaded into the page. I have been building up the javascript with StringBuilder.Appendline then registering a startup script with code behind but this stinks and I feel there has to be a better way of going about this. It says Invalid Column Name 'Column3'

When I put multiple tables on one page, they just get put over each other and not under each other. Is this normal behaviour and what can I do about it?     I need a simple way of checking how much ram and fast the CPU of the host PC is. I tried WMI however the code I'm using private long getCPU() { ManagementClass mObject = new ManagementClass("Win32_Processor"); mObject.Get(); return (long)mObject.Properties["MaxClockSpeed"].Value; } Throws a null reference exception. Furthermore, WMI queries are a bit slow and I need to make a few to get all the specs. Is there a better way?

    Hi, This question would be a bit childish, I have three tables, users, usergroups and contacts. In my system, the end user can create a contact and subsequently he\she may define the visibility of the contact by setting only for that user, or for a set of users or a set of usergroups. So I am wondering, how my database design would be, it should be many to many between users and contacts or many to many between usergroups and contacts.     Is there any java libraries that is similar to unix's command file? ie: $ file somepicture.png somepicture.png PNG image, 805 x 292, 8-bit/color RGB, non-interlaced The file command is such a nice tool. I need something that can tell me if the file is really what I want it to be. (ie a picture, document etc) I know I can run the command file, but I am looking for a java library, not running the actual unix command.

The serialize-string will be inserted in a mySQL-database, so it would be fine if all checkboxes would be inserted and not only the ones that is ticked(on). it's possible to make on column in the database for each of the checkboxes, and use this if/else-statement: if(isset($_GET['checkbox'])) { // It's checked! } else { // not checked! } but its a bit unappropriate...
