  • Going from web browser to web request

    I am working on a program that automates tasks in a browser like entering text, clicking, etc and right now everything is working fine when using the Web Browser tool in Visual Studio 2010. What I'd like to know is how should I approach converting all of this so I can use send requests instead of the browser? I heard its a lot more efficient and a lot better if you are going to be using multi threading but I have so much code that already works now and am not sure how I should do this without scraping quite a bit of it.

  • mysql for dummies

    I just started using mysql and I just can see myself woking with strings! I mean the compiler cant catch errors like this... and its just a mess! is there a wrapper or some kind of class i can add that does something as simple as making a function that adds a table and asks for args? I'm sure there is a tool like that but i cant find it or know its name. plz help.

How can i make a way faster scanner that wont get stuck if the port is close.MultiThreading ? Thanks !

  • "IOError [Errno 13] Permisson denied" when copy a file on Windows

    Hi, I wrote a program that will copy a file called a.exe to C:/Windows/, then I pack it to exe with PyInstaller, and rename the exe file to a.exe. When I run the exe file, it output IOError [Errno 13] Permisson denied: 'C:/Windows/a.exe', but the file a.exe was copied to the directory C:/Windows. Then I ran it as the Administrator, it happened again... At first, I copy the file with shututil.copy, then I wrote a function myself(open a.exe, create a.exe under C:/Windows, read a.exe 's content and write to C:/Windows/a.exe, close all), but it doesn't help...Any ideas?

    Hi there, I'm looking for a fast SSL socket client basically talks SSL with remote service and I need features like connection pooling/limiting so that my other client calling this ssl socket can basically issue as many as requests and it will handle it peacefully. I looked into openssl s_client, but it says it's only for testing purpose, is there a handy tool avaiable? STunnel seems to be okay, but don't have that connection limiting option I need. Cheers.

  • Any suggestions in a way to parse headers and links from blog pages using C#?

    I'm currently self-studying C# in my free time and thought of a "little" project to get me going (and one that I or others will actually find useful). It ended up being more complicated than I thought. Or maybe I'm just thinking it is? Anyway, this project would parse the homepages of the blogs (most of them are Wordpress blogs) I frequent to, take the post headers and the links within those posts and notify me via a balloon tip in the task bar. I can handle the rest except for the way of getting C# to parse the HTML pages for the items I need. C# doesn't seem to have no built-in way to do this. Could anyone point me to the right direction? I just looked into the HTML Agility Pack but I'm still trying to figure it out. Some example code will help much too. Thanks in advance!

    I am trying to create a gallery of inline content with Fancybox 2, and am failing miserably. I checked out some other resources online and they seem to indicate doing this relatively easily, yet, I cannot seem to get it to work. Here is my fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/beefchimi/jtxHd/2/ Now, I feel like the fiddle is not loading the resources, so thats a problem. But even with the resources this does not work, I get the fancybox error.     For the longest time I've been curious to code in Intermediate Language just as an academic endeavour and to gain a better understanding of what's "happening under the hood". Does anybody provide Visual Studio support for *IL in the form of: project templates, IntelliSense integration, and those kind of RAD features? Edits: I don't mean restricted to out of the box support. For example, I can download Visual Studio extensions to support Python, COBOL, etc. Want the same for *IL. There is a stand-alone Intermediate Assembler tool.
