Somehow, nothing gets displayed, but when I use the same textblock binding outside the grid, everything works fine. What exactly I want to do is in the datagridtemplatecolumn for others I want to display the usernames that are not in CurrentUsername, but they have the same program Id as the CurrentUsername. Please do let me know if there is another way that i can make this work, instead of using a dependencyproperty, althouht for testing I did put a textblock below datagrid, and it works perfectly fine.. Help!

  Hey guys, new to rails, but I have found out how to create an app now through the shell but to create an app using rails appname would give me a url of http://url.com/appname/ but I want my app, to be within the route if you understand me, so it's just http://url.com/login/ or /signup or /play so on? • how does scrolling in android listview work?

  hi, i have an android-app with a listview in an activity. the listview has, if i call it so, three data states. no data loaded from inet - only one dummy item is visible, saying that data is loading data is loaded and shown in list one listitem is clicked and now shows more information for this listitem (so it is increased in its height) on every state change (1 - 2, 2 - 3) i call notifyDataSetChanged() on this ListAdapater. this causes the listview to scroll down to the last item. this is ugly in the first transition and even more ugly in the second because the clicked list item is now out of focus. as i can see, this happens with a google g1 with android 1.6. a htc touch with the same sdk acts like desired (i try to figure it out with some more devices). to avoid this i tried to read out getScrollY() and set this value back. but this returns 0. the reason for this return value i already found on stackoverflow in other qutestions. does anyone else comes along with my problem so far? why does the listview scrolls to the last item? it was mentioned, that listview does keep track on the scroll position. but it seems that it does not in my case. or may i call the wrong refresh method? is notifyDataSetChanged the correct one?

• Android's EditText is hidden when the virtual keyboard is shown and a SurfaceView is involved

  I have a simple user interface: an EditText should be located below a SurfaceView. I use a RelativeLayout to arrange these two views. Now, when I tap on the EditText to open the virtual keyboard the SurfaceView slides up but the EditText is hidden and does not show the typed string. To reproduce, use the following layout XML code: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/RelativeLayout01" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_width="fill_parent"> <SurfaceView android:id="@+id/SurfaceView01" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content"> </SurfaceView> <EditText android:id="@+id/EditText01" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_alignParentLeft="true" android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" android:selectAllOnFocus="true" android:textStyle="normal" android:singleLine="true"> </EditText> </RelativeLayout> The main Activity class only needs to show the layout. When I start the program and tap the EditText, the virtual keyboard appears but the EditText field is gone. Maybe the RelativeLayout is causing the problems, but I don't know how to reproduce the same layout with another Layout class. Any suggestions are welcome, I really appreciate your help. Thanks. It is interesting to note that the SurfaceView and the EditText actually shift upward, the EditText just disappears. BTW this also happens to a button if it is next to the EditText.   hi All, I am using Domino.dll to access a NSF file in C#.NET 2.0 I am using multiple thread to access 4 NSF files at a time, its working fine for small NSF files, but if i try to access large NSF files i get the Out of Memory Exception and Maximum number of memory segments that Notes can support has been exceeded. This exception usually occurs when i access NotesDocument object from a large NSFVIewFolder in a while loop. I am releasing the instance of the NotesDocument by using the Marshal.ReleaseComObject(NotesDocument); still it throws the same exception. My goal is to access multiple NSF files at a time (MAX 4 NSF files at a time) for large NSF files (may be in GB). Kindly help me, if you got some solution. Thanks.

• OSX/Darwin unresolved symbols when linking functions from <math.h>

  I'm in the process of porting a large'ish (~1M LOC) project from a Window/Visual Studio environment to other platforms, the first of which happens to be Mac OS X. Originally the project was configured as Visual Studio solutions and projects, but now I'm using (the excellent) Premake (http://industriousone.com/premake) to generate project files for multiple platforms (VS, XCode, GMake). I configured, ported and built the first few projects without any significant problems, but having ported the math lib, I ran into this weird linking error that I haven't been able to resolve: Any functions used from math.h will fail to link (causing unresolved symbols). For reference, I'm using Premake v4.2.1 to generate projects for XCode v3.2.1, which is building using gcc v4.2 for the x86_64 architecture. (All this on 64-bit Snow Leopard) I've tried to persuade gcc to link and build everything against a 'known' SDK by adding -isysroot /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.6.sdk -mmacosx-version-min=10.6 to the build command line. Now under normal circumstances, adding -lm should take care of this, however in Darwin, those math libs are included in libSystem, which, as far as I can tell, gets implicitly linked by gcc/ld. I've tried creating a dummy project from within XCode which just runs: float f = log2(2.0)+log2f(3.f)+log1p(1.1)+log1pf(1.2f)+sin(8.0); std::cout << f << std::endl; and as expected, this builds just fine. However, if I put the same thing in the code inside the Premake generated project, all those math functions end up unresolved. Now comparing the linking command from the 'native' XCode project with my generated XCode project, they seem pretty identical (except that my generated project links other libs as well). 'Native' project: /Developer/usr/bin/g++-4.2 -arch x86_64 -dynamiclib -isysroot /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.6.sdk -Lsomepath -Fsomepath -filelist somefile -install_name somename -mmacosx-version-min=10.6 -single_module -compatibility_version 1 -current_version 1 -o somename Generated project: /Developer/usr/bin/g++-4.2 -arch x86_64 -dynamiclib -Lsomepath -Fsomepath -filelist somefile -install_name somename -isysroot /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.6.sdk -mmacosx-version-min=10.6 somelib.a somelib2.a somelib.dylib somelib2.dylib -single_module -compatibility_version 1 -current_version 1 -o somename Any help or hints about how to proceed would be most appreciated. • EMERGENCY - Major Problems After Perl Module Installed via WHM

  I attempted to install the perl module Net::Twitter::Role::API::Lists using WHM and after doing so my whole site came down. It seems that something that was updated with the install isn't functioning correctly and since our website it written in Perl none of our site scripts will run. In almost 8 years of working with Perl I've never had any issues arise after installing a perl module so I have no idea how to even start troubleshooting.   I converted a local sound file to a resource, which built this in my XAML: <UserControl.Resources> <my:Uri x:Key="SoundFiles">file:///c:/Audio/HebrewDemo/Shalom.wav</my:Uri> </UserControl.Resources> I did this by pasting a local disk mp3 filename into source, then clicked on the "dot" by source and chose "Extract Value to Resource". When I run, it tells me that "Uri" is not valid, and sure enough, in the Intellisense, I see other elements that start with "uri" but not just URI by itself. In the real world I want to specify a dynamic mp3 file name. For example, I might have a database of foreign language words used for flashcards, I want to play a sound file on a URL. • C# HttpListener without using netsh to register a URI

  My application uses a small webserver to server up some files and have a web interface for administration remotely. Right now the user has to use netsh to register the URI like so netsh http add urlacl url=http://+:1233/ user=Chris-PC\Chris Which is no fun for the average user. I'd like the program to be able to listen on any port specified by the user from my program without the end-user needing to using command prompt. Is there anyway to accomplish this short of just using Process.Start and running command prompt myself?

• NserviceBus throws exception when referencing a Nettiers assembly

  We use nettiers as a our data layer, and we recently have started looking at using NServiceBus, but we have hit a wall.   I am trying to use WpfToolkit DataGrid in Windows Phone 7 project (Silverligt 4) and it's not working. • Android - Using PreferenceScreen to display and save settings to/from ContentProvider

  I have my own custom Content Provider that loads a datasbase which contains the settings information for my application. I load the settings from the ContentProvider on the creation of my Settings activity. My Settings activity is made up of a PreferenceScreen and Dialog based EditText's. The following code shows how I use the preference screen and edit texts. So as you can see from the first image this works and displays the menu with the information underneath. The problem is in image two, when I click on a choice in the menu the dialog pops up but it is empty, I would like to be able to load the data from my content provider into the edit text in the dialog, so in image one it shows "Donal" as the user name so in image two "Donal" should also appear in the edit text in the dialog. I would also like to be able to listen to the OK button in the dialog so when a user changes a setting I can update the data in my content provider. Can anyone help me with what I'm trying to do? • Test run errors with MSTest in VS2010

  When I run my Unit Tests, all tests pass, but instead of "Test run succeeded" or whatever the success message is, I get "Test run error" in the little bar that tells me how many of my tests pass, even though all my tests passed. When i click the text, I'm taken to a page that tells me the following two things happened: Warning: conflict during test run deployment: deployment item '[...]\Booking.Web.dll' directly or indirectly referenced by the test container [...]\Booking.Web.Tests.dll cannot be deployed to 'Booking.Web.dll' because otherwise the file '[...]\Booking.Web.dll' would override deployment item '[...]\Booking.Web.dll' directly or indirectly referenced by '[...]\Booking.Web.Tests.dll' Error: Cannot initialize the ASP.NET project 'Booking.Web' Exception was thrown: The website could not be configured correctly; getting ASP.NET proccess information failed. Requesting 'http://localhost:54131/VSEnterpriseHelper.axd' returned an error: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error. I don't understand half of what it's complaining about. How do I get rid of these errors? (And for reference: Booking.Web is an ASP.NET MVC 2 project, Booking.Web.Tests is a Test project, [...] is the full local path to the projects in my environment, in most of the cases above to the /bin/debug/ folder inside the Booking.Web project)

  I have several websites which get approximately 3000 pageviews in total per day, and I get this viewstate error roughly 5-10 times per day, caught in global.asax: System.Web.HttpException: Unable to validate data. at System.Web.Configuration.MachineKeySection.GetDecodedData(Byte[] buf, Byte[] modifier, Int32 start, Int32 length, Int32& dataLength) at System.Web.UI.ObjectStateFormatter.Deserialize(String inputString) I have tried: hard-coding the machine key in web.config for all websites hard-coding the machien key in machine.config adding items to the pages section of the web.config for all websites. Machine key looks like: <machineKey validationKey="key goes here" decryptionKey="key goes here" validation="SHA1" decryption="AES" /> Pages section looks like: <pages renderAllHiddenFieldsAtTopOfForm="true" validateRequest="false" enableEventValidation="false" viewStateEncryptionMode="Never"> The errors are not related to application pool recycling as best I can tell, as the pool is set to recycle at every 100,000 requests. I am not running a web farm or web garden. Quite often I get two or three of these errors in a row, as if a user is getting an error, going back, and then clicking the link again. Anyone have any ideas?

• SharePoint Discussion Board "Last updated" field is not updated any more.

  On of our SharePoint users informed me today about a strange behavior of a discussion board on one of his sites. Normally the standard "subject" view of an discussion list has a field named "Last updated" showing the date and time of the last post within the corresponding thread. On the discussion board of our user this field is never set to the date/time of the last post but stays on the date/time when the thread was started. The site on which the discussion board is located was created from a custom web site template which includes the empty discussion board. To narrow this problem I created a second discussion board on the same site, with the result that it sets the Last updated field correctly. Any suggestions why the Last updated field doesn't update any more?
