• <rich:datatable> and <rich:datascroller> problem

  Hi all, I am developing a Seam-Jsfv1.2-EJB3 web app. I have a datatable and checkboxes in each row. Moreover, I have a datascroller at the bottom of my table as well. My problem is when I click the next page number from the scroller, the selected checkboxes at the first page of the datatable is gone. I mean, even if they were selected, clicking the next page make them deselected. I see it by going back to the first page again by clicking the scroller. Do you have any idea about that problem? • Get Layout Shape Corresponding to Slide Shape

  In PP2007 and using VBA, how can I get the placeholder shape on a Slide Master layout that is the "master" for a placeholder shape on the slide? I am currently using a loop to compare the position and size of the slide placeholder with the position and shape of each placeholder shape in the slide's layout, but this isn't fool-proof. For example, if the placeholder shape is moved on the slide, its position may no longer match the position of any placeholder shapes in the slide's layout. I could reapply the slide's layout to snap placeholders back into position, but that's not what I want to do. Something in the object model like "Shape.Master" would be ideal but, of course, that doesn't exist.

• EMERGENCY - Major Problems After Perl Module Installed via WHM

  I attempted to install the perl module Net::Twitter::Role::API::Lists using WHM and after doing so my whole site came down. It seems that something that was updated with the install isn't functioning correctly and since our website it written in Perl none of our site scripts will run. In almost 8 years of working with Perl I've never had any issues arise after installing a perl module so I have no idea how to even start troubleshooting. The error I see when trying to compile any of our Perl scripts is below. I'd appreciate any advice on what might be wrong and steps on how I can go about resolve it. Thanks in advance for your help!   I'm trying to add <session-management> in my Spring Security namespace configuration so that I can provide a different message than the login page when the session times out. As soon as I add it to my configuration it starts throwing "IllegalStateException: Cannot create a session after the response has been committed" when I access the app. I'm using Spring Security 3 and Tomcat 6.   I'm writing my first Qt application with PyQt and am having some trouble creating a custom list view. I'd like the list to contain arbitrary widgets (one custom widget in particular). How would I go about this? It seems that the alternative would be to create a table or grid view wrapped in a scrollbar. However, I'd like to be able to take advantage of the model/view approach as well as the nesting (tree-view) support the built-ins handle. EDIT: To clarify, this widget is interactive (contains buttons), so the solution requires more than painting a widget.

  I'm currently researching new source control options for a team of 10 developers. We do .net development in Visual Studio 2008. We currently use VSS for source control. We are looking for a centralized source control solution(non-distributed), with a nice Visual Studio plugin. My manager has recommended Plastic SCM and I've always heard good things about Subversion. I'm trying to decide if we should adopt Subversion or Plastic SCM. There isn't much information out there about Plastic SCM (except what they've written) and I was wondering if it would be a good solution. They make it sound as if branching is much simpler. Subversion on the other hand has a robust, mature community, and it has been thoroughly field tested. What are the pros and cons to these tools? Also are there any other tools that you could suggest? I want it to be bigger, without changing the font from the default. All the examples I've seen specify a font then a ':' then the size. So how do I just change the size not the font itself? Thanks!

  It was easy to check if VSTO 2005 SE was installed by just calling MsiGetProductInfo() with the product code {388E4B09-3E71-4649-8921-F44A3A2954A7}, as listed in MSDN. What is the product code for the VSTO 2010/4.0 runtime? Or is there a better way to determine if it's already installed? This is for our installation process. Thanks! Also, I am trying to figure out the same for Windows Imaging Component.

• ASP.NET MVC 3: RouteExistingFiles = true seems to have no effect

  I'm trying to understand how RouteExistingFiles works. So I've created a new MVC 3 internet project (MVC 4 behaves the same way) and put a HTMLPage.html file to the Content folder of my project. Now I went to the Global.Asax file and edited the RegisterRoutes function so it looks like this: public static void RegisterRoutes(RouteCollection routes) { routes.RouteExistingFiles = true; //Look for routes before looking if a static file exists routes.MapRoute( "Default", // Route name "{controller}/{action}/{id}", // URL with parameters new {controller = "Home", action = "Index", id = UrlParameter.Optional} // Parameter defaults ); } Now it should give me an error when I'm requesting a localhost:XXXX/Content/HTMLPage.html since there's no "Content" controller and the request definitely hits the default pattern. But instead I'm seeing my HTMLPage. What am I doing wrong here? Update: I think I'll have to give up. Even if I'm adding a route like this one: routes.MapRoute("", "Content/{*anything}", new {controller = "Home", action = "Index"}); it still shows me the content of the HTMLPage. When I request a url like ~/Content/HTMLPage I'm getting the Index page as expected, but when I add a file extenstion like .html or .txt the content is shown (or a 404 error if the file does not exist). If anyone can check this in VS2012 please let me know what result you're getting. Thank you.

• In html 5, how to positioning a div element on top of a canvas element?

  Hi. Can anyone help me: I'm trying to put a div (say, 10px by 10px) element on top (in front) of a canvas element (say 500px by 500px) in html. I have tried changing the z-index of each, to no avail. Does anybody have any ideas, or is it one of those things that you can't really do? I already know how to do absolute positioning and everything, the div element just hangs out in the background behind the canvas element. I need a way to bring it to the front and the canvas element to the back. Thanks!
