  • PHP Header redirection problem within page called by cURL

    I have a site that uses cURL to access some pages, stores the returned results in variables, and then uses these variables within its own page. The script works well except where the target cURL page has a header('Location: ...') command inside it. It seems to just ignore this header command. The cURL command is as follows... //Load result page into variable so portions can be allocated to correct variables $ch = curl_init(); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url); # URL to post to curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1 ); # return into a variable curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, 0); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, true); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $postfields); $loaded_result = curl_exec( $ch ); # run! curl_close($ch); I've tried changing the CURLOPT_HEADER to 1 but it doesn't do anything. So how can I allow script redirection within the target urls using cURL to grab the results? By the way, the pages work fine if accessed other than via cURL but iFrames are not an option in this instance.

  • PHP imap_search not detecting all messages in gmail inbox

    When I run a very simple imap_search on my GMail inbox, the search returns less messages than it should. Here is the script that anyone with a GMail account can run. $host = '{imap.gmail.com:993/imap/ssl}'; $user = 'foo'; $pass = 'bar'; $imapStream = imap_open($host,$user,$pass) or die(imap_last_error()); $messages = imap_search($imapStream,"ALL"); echo count($messages); imap_close($imapStream); This returns 39 messages. But, I've got 100 messages in my inbox, some in conversations, some forwarded from another account (SquirrelMail, FWIW). Can anyone duplicate these results, and/or tell me what's going on?     I want to sort the properties of an object so I can loop through them in a defined order. for example: I have an object 'book' with the following properties: 'id', 'title', 'author', 'date'. Now i want to loop through these properties like this: foreach($book as $prop=>$val) //do something now the order of the loop has to be 'title', then 'author', 'date' and 'id' How would one do this? (I can't change the order of the properties in the class of the object because there arent any properties defined there, I get the object from the database with 'MyActiveRecord')

    I am going to have different classes for a character that a user play. Like "Mage, Warrior" etc. I am thinking of a method like have some CharacterBase class (abstract?) and then I have a child class which is like WarriorClass or something like that. I think the approach is called Factory pattern or something like that. Anyone got a clue of what I'm trying to achieve here, and are there perhaps any better way to do this?

  • JavaScript doesn't parse when mod-rewrited through a PHP file?

    If I do the following (this is the actual/direct path to the JavaScript file): <script href="http://localhost/tpl/blue/js/functions.js" type="text/javascript"></script> It works fine, and the JavaScript parses - as its meant too. However I'm wanting to shorten the path to the JavaScript file (aswell as do some caching) which is why I'm rewriting all JavaScript files via .htaccess to cache.php (which handles the caching). The .htaccess contains the following: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^js/(.+?\.js)$ cache.php?file=$1 [NC] </IfModule> cache.php contains the following PHP code: <?php if (extension_loaded('zlib')) { ob_start('ob_gzhandler'); } $file = basename($_GET['file']); if (file_exists("tpl/blue/js/".$file)) { header("Content-Type: application/javascript"); header('Cache-Control: must-revalidate'); header('Expires: ' . gmdate('D, d M Y H:i:s', time() + 3600) . If I access the rewrited file- http://localhost/js/functions.js directly it prints the JavaScript code, as any JavaScript file would - so I'm confused as to what I'm doing wrong... All help is appreciated! :)

    I have a list of items that the user can select. I want it to be more user friendly than standard checkboxes so I have seperate div's each with a unique id. When user clicks an item, I use javascript to display a tick on top of that item and change the style to show that it is highlighted. Im trying to work out how I can pass the list of id's when the form is submitted. Remember, if the user unticks an item, it should be removed from the list, I was thinking of using comma seperated values in a hidden text field but couldnt work out how to remove items from the start of the list if they were deselected

I have strings in this format: $s1 = "name1|type1"; //(pipe is the separator) $s2 = "name2|type2"; $s3 = "name3"; //(in some of them type can be missing) Let's assume namen/typen are strings and they can not contain a pipe.   • Read part of a file in PHP

    I would like to read the last 1 megabyte of a MP3 file and calculate SHA1 checksum for just that part of the file. The reason that I would want this is that when I'm looking for duplicate MP3's, the header info (song title, album etc.) can differ even though it's the exakt same audio file, so I figured I would be better of to checksum a part of the file at the end instead of the whole one. Is there an efficient way of doing this?
