• What is the best way to parse python script file in C/C++ code

  I am embedding python in C/C++ program. What I am trying to do is to parse the python script file from the C/C++ program, break the file to "blocks" so that each "block" is an a valid command in python code. Each block I need to put into std::string. For example: #PythonScript.py import math print "Hello Python" i = 0; while (i < 10): print "i = " , i; i = i + 1; print "GoodBye Python" In this script are 5 different "blocks": the first one is "import math;" the second is "print "Hello Python;" the third is "i = 0;" and the fourth is while (i < 10):\n\tprint "i = " , i;\n\ti = i + 1; My knowledge in python is very basic and I am not familiar with the python code syntax. What is the best way to do this, is there any Python C/C++ API function that supports this? why i need it - for GUI purpose. My program , which is writen in C, uses python to make some calculations. I run from C code , using python C API , python script and what i need is a way to capture python's output in my program. I catch it and evrything is ok, the problem is when the script involves user input. What happens is that i capture python's output after the script is finished , therefore, when there is an input command in the script i get a black screen .... i need to get all the printings before the input command. The first solution i tried is to parss the script to valid commands and run each comand, one after the other , seperatly .... for this i need to pars the script and deside what is a command and what is not ... The question is : what is the best way to do this and if there is somthing that allready does ?

• Azure application working on emulator but not on azure cloud

  firstly i am developing my MVC3 application on visual web developer 2010 express, by migrating my MVC3 (cshtml) files on MVC2. it works great on local system using the emulator, but once i deploy the application on azure it gives runtime errors. example: The layout page "~/Views/Shared/test_page.cshtml" could not be found at the following path: "~/Views/Shared/test_page.cshtml".   I have been using this as a reference, but not able to accomplish exactly what I need: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/89228/how-to-call-external-command-in-python/92395#92395 I also was reading this: http://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-3145/ For our project, we have 5 svn checkouts that need to update before we can deploy our application. In my dev environment, where speedy deployments are a bit more important for productivity than a production deployment, I have been working on speeding up the process. I have a bash script that has been working decently but has some limitations. I fire up multiple 'svn updates' with the following bash command: (svn update /repo1) & (svn update /repo2) & (svn update /repo3) & These all run in parallel and it works pretty well. I also use this pattern in the rest of the build script for firing off each ant build, then moving the wars to Tomcat. However, I have no control over stopping deployment if one of the updates or a build fails. I'm re-writing my bash script with Python so I have more control over branches and the deployment process. I am using subprocess.call() to fire off the 'svn update /repo' commands, but each one is acting sequentially. I try '(svn update /repo) &' and those all fire off, but the result code returns immediately. So I have no way to determine if a particular command fails or not in the asynchronous mode. import subprocess subprocess.call( 'svn update /repo1', shell=True ) subprocess.call( 'svn update /repo2', shell=True ) subprocess.call( 'svn update /repo3', shell=True ) I'd love to find a way to have Python fire off each Unix command, and if any of the calls fails at any time the entire script stops.

I probbly missed some steps but I cann't find them eventhough I read many tutorials, probbly since I am new in AJAX, so I need to be guided step-by-step. These are the steps I've already done: Downloading AJAX ToolKit. Adding These Controls to the ToolBox. creating new ASP.NET Website (I heard about AJAX-Enabled Option, but I dont have this option) Adding a AJAX Tool. And thats it. Output I want is: H343423 C343423 Output my RegEx is getting is: H343423 Something1 Something2 C343423 0 So it is fetching the whole line but I just want it to stop after first word is read. I found some entries here on stackoverflow, but the questions seemed to either be for older versions or the solutions did not work for me. • How to stop tcpdump remotely using expect from a new telnet session

  I am trying to stop the tcpdump command from running on a remote terminal. If I telnet to the terminal, start tcpdump, and then send a ^c, tcpdump stops with no issues. However if I telnet to the same terminal, start tcpdump, and then exit the telnet session, when I reconnect to the same telnet session I am unable to stop tcpdump via a ^c. When I do this instead of stopping tcpdump it seems that it just quits the telnet session and tcpdump continues to run on the remote terminal. I provided my script below.   How can I convert this Perl code to Groovy? How to bypass confirmation prompts of an external process? I am trying to convert a Perl script to Groovy. The program is loading/delete maestro (job scheduling) jobs automatically. The problem is the delete command will prompt for confirmation (Y/N) on every single job that it finds. I tried the process execute in groovy but will stop at the prompts. The Perl script is writing bunch of Ys to the stream and print it to the handler( if I understood it correctly) to avoid stopping. I am wondering how to do the same thing in Groovy ? Or any other approach to execute a command and somehow write Y on every confirmation prompt. • Will running aspnet_regiis.exe -ir create any problems?

  Hi there. I've asked a question about changing the version of .Net sites in the IIS. If it affects classic asp sites etc (See Does asp.net setting affect classic asp (IIS 6 settings)) And that seems fine. So my follow-up question is, will running this command get me fired? What it does is changing the default value (and all existing?) of the .net version to 2.0. This wont affect any of the .net sites since they're allready versioned to 2.0. The classic asp pages needs to get its app pools updated so its functionoal with 2.0 but may I run into any other troubles? I've tried doing this on a test environment and no sites whet down during the installation period (from the command) but I did not have any classic asp sites or any .net sites running though (which I should test, come to think about it) but may something else break? Is this command doing anything else? We have some very large sites running and we cannot have downtime periods so I need to be 100% sure that this command is safe. Since all sites go down everytime we change a new sites .net version number we need to get this fix live asap. Any good ideas?

The web service gets document meta data from SharePoint, it running on a server where I cant debug but with logging I confirmed that the method enters and exits successfully. • c - strncpy issue

  Hi there, I am getting segmentation fault when using strncpy and (pointer-to-struct)-(member) notation: I have simplified my code. I initialise a struct and set all of it's tokens to an empty string. Then a declare a pointer to a struct and assign the address of the struct to it. I pass the pointer to a function. I can print out the contents of the struct at the beginning of the function, but if I try to use the tp - mnemonic in a strncpy function, I get seg fault.   I am trying here to do a manual translation for the application I am working with. (There is already a working LocalizationModule but it's working dodgy, so I can't use <asp:Localize /> tags. Normally with ResourceManager you are supposed to be using it as Namespace.Folder.Resourcename (in an application). Currently I am translating an existing asp.net "website" (not web application so no namespace here....). The resources are located into a folder name "Locales/resources" which contains "fr-ca.resx" and "en-us.resx".   I have a Command bound to a Button in XAML. When executed, the command changes a property value on the underlying DataContext. I would like the button's Content to reflect the new value of the property.   Hi there I'm just starting an assignment for uni and it's raised a question for me. I found that if I tried to make the 'trimmed' array by something like: char trimmed[len]; then the compiler would throw up a message saying that a constant was expected on this line. I assume this meant that for some reason you can't use variables as the array length when initialising an array, although something tells me that can't be right. So instead I made my array by allocating some memory to a char pointer. I understand that this function is probably waaaaay sub-optimal for what it is trying to do, but what I really want to know is: 1. Can you normally initialise an array using a variable to declare the length like: char trimmed[len]; ? 2. If I had an array that was of that type (char trimmed[]) would it have the same return type as a pointer to char (ie char*). 3. If I make my array by callocing some memory and allocating it to a char pointer, how do I free this memory. It seems to me that once I have returned this array, I can't access it to free it as it is a local variable. Many thanks in advance Joe
