• ssh login fails for user with empty password

  How do you enable ssh login on OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) for a user with an empty password? I've seen others asking this question, and like me it's for the same reason: a parent who can't deal with passwords. So "set a password" is not an option. I found references to adding "nullok" to various PAM config files. Didn't work. Found sshd config "PermitEmptyPasswords yes". Didn't work. Now I need to send in the body part, a part of a stylesheet (for instance the area from A1:B20). This area has colors, bold font. Now Suppose my device current date 9-july-2012 11:31:00, Now suppose i set set a alarm at 9-july-2012 11:45:00, then it works fine and pop-up an alarm at that time.   I am programming in C#; the code was working about a week ago, however it throws an exception and I don't understand at all what could be wrong with it.   I am using Datanucleus JDO on top of HSqlDb. I would like to execute the following SQL statement to tell HsqlDb to set the write delay to 0: "SET WRITE_DELAY 0" Is there a way I can do this from a JDO PersistenceManager or a PersistenceManagerFactory? On a sidenote: I have tried to modify write_delay by using the following connection URL: jdbc:hsqldb:file:data/hsqldb/dbbench;write_delay=false It didn't work. I debugged the HsqlDb sources and I could still see the write delay being set to 10 seconds.

Desired grid layout looks like this Foo | Bar | Candidate 1 | Candidate 2 | ... | Candidate N I'd like to have a DataTemplate for each Candidate as I plan changing it during runtime - user can choose what info about candidate is displayed in different columns (candidate is just an example, I have different object). That means I also want to change the column templates in runtime although this can be achieved by one big template and collapsing its parts. I know about two ways how to achieve my goals (both quite similar): Use AutoGeneratingColumn event and create Candidates columns Add Columns manually In both cases I need to load the DataTemplate from string with XamlReader. Before that I have to edit the string to change the binding to wanted Candidate. Is there a better way how to create a DataGrid with unknown number of DataGridTemplateColumn? • Is there a way to automaticly call all versions of an inherited method?

  I'm writing a plug-in for a 3D modeling program. I have a custom class that wraps instances of elements in the 3D model, and in turn derives it's properties from the element it wraps. When the element in the model changes I want my class(es) to update their properties based on the new geometry. In the simplified example below. I have classes AbsCurveBasd, Extrusion, and Shell which are all derived from one another. Each of these classes implement a RefreshFromBaseShape() method which updates specific properties based on the current baseShape the class is wrapping. I can call base.RefreshFromBaseShape() in each implementation of RefreshFromBaseShape() to ensure that all the properties are updated. But I'm wondering if there is a better way where I don't have to remember to do this in every implementation of RefershFromBaseShape()?   Hi, I have a private repository on Github for a project I'm working on. Until now I had only worked on my home desktop, but I just bought a laptop, and am trying to set it up so that I can work on the project from either computer, and push / pull changes. I added a new SSH key to my Github account for the laptop, and was successful in cloning and making changes to a public test repo that I set up. However, I couldn't clone the private repo. Is there anything special I need to do in the command line in order to clone a private repo? Do I need to set up a new GitHub account for my laptop and set myself up as a collaborator? I need to store these results in a variable, comma separated, because that's what 3rd party stored procedure needs. So I have this: DECLARE @ProductID int DECLARE @relatedprods varchar(8000) SET @ProductID = '1234' SET @relatedprods = '' SELECT TOP 12 @relatedprods = @relatedprods + CONVERT(VARCHAR(20), a.ProductID) + ', ' FROM A a WHERE a.CategoryID IN (SELECT b.CategoryID FROM B b WHERE B.ProductID = @ProductID) AND a.ProductID != @ProductID SELECT @relatedprods Now, none of these are distinct, but it is returning 12 rows.   Is it possible to test for the existence of a script-scoped variable in PowerShell? I've been using the PowerShell Community Extensions (PSCX) but I've noticed that if you import the module while Set-PSDebug -Strict is set, an error is produced: The variable '$SCRIPT:helpCache' cannot be retrieved because it has not been set. At C:\Users\...\Modules\Pscx\Modules\GetHelp\Pscx.GetHelp.psm1:5 char:24 While investigating how I might fix this, I found this piece of code in Pscx.GetHelp.psm1: #requires -version 2.0 param([string[]]$PreCacheList) if ((!$SCRIPT:helpCache) -or $RefreshCache) { $SCRIPT:helpCache = @{} } This is pretty straight forward code; if the cache doesn't exist or needs to be refreshed, create a new, empty cache. The problem is that calling $SCRIPT:helpCache while Set-PSDebug -Strict is in force casues the error because the variable hasn't been defined yet. Ideally, we could use a Test-Variable cmdlet but such a thing doesn't exist! I thought about looking in the variable: provider but I don't know how to determine the scope of a variable. So my question is: how can I test for the existence of a variable while Set-PSDebug -Strict is in force, without causing an error?

  I have a stored procedure that returns a result set (4 columns x n Rows). The data is based on multiple tables within my database and provides a summary for each department within a corporate. Here is sample: usp_GetDepartmentSummary DeptName EmployeeCount Male Female HR 12 5 7 etc... I am using linq-to-sql to retrieve data from my database (nb - have to use sproc as it is something I have inherited). I would like to call the above sproc and map into a department class: public class Department { public string DeptName {get; set;} public int EmployeeCount {get; set;} public int MaleCount {get; set;} public int FemaleCount {get; set;} } In VS2008, I can drag and drop my sproc onto the methods pane of the linq-to-sql designer. When I examine the designer.cs the return type for this sproc is defined as: ISingleResult<usp_GetDepartmentSummaryResult> What I would like to do is amend this somehow so that it returns a Department type so that I can pass the results of the sproc as a strongly typed view: <% foreach (var dept in Model) { %> <ul> <li class="deptname"><%= dept.DeptName %></li> <li class="deptname"><%= dept.EmployeeCount %></li> etc... Any ideas how to achieve this? NB - I have tried amending the designer.cs and dbml xml file directly but with limited success.   There are lots of questions that ask this or a similar question. They all give the command that has to be executed, what I don't understand is where do I write this command. I want to permanently increase the heap space for my tomcat apps. I read this page http://javahowto.blogspot.com/2006/06/6-common-errors-in-setting-java-heap.html and it says under the Tomcat section Stop Tomcat server, set environment variable CATALINA_OPTS, and then restart Tomcat. Look at the file tomcat-install/bin/catalina.sh or catalina.bat for how this variable is used.   I have a base class for all my textboxes and I want to set the default font in that class. So I started with this: public partial class MyTextBox : TextBox { public WmlTextBox() { InitializeComponent(); //Font for the whole application can be altered in the Appearance class Font = new Appearance().TextBoxFont; } } I then stripped out all the code in the form that was setting the font of the textboxes. Of course this worked fine until I altered an item on the page. Visual Studio picked up the default font for the application (set in the Appearance class), and generated code in the designer for all TextBoxes to set it to that specific font. How can I stop visual studio from generating code from my default font? I want to allow the developers to change the property, but I want to set the default font centrally.

On first invocation of a URL the user is prompted with the typical https browser "security alert" popup, on selecting "Yes" the display of the PDF fails. The HTTP Header on the failed response is: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: ECS/HTTP-Server Date: Tue, 16 Mar 2010 15:57:26 GMT Content-type: application/pdf Content-language: en-US Set-cookie: JSESSIONID=0000r111cRz1Vc-PtCJg8Cdu4eR:-1; Path=/ Expires: Thu, 01 Dec 1994 16:00:00 GMT Cache-control: no-cache="set-cookie, set-cookie2" Connection: close Subsequent invocations of the URL successfully opens the PDF (at this point we have the session id cookie set by the initial failed request).
