    Hi, I need to get a row based on column value just like querying a database. I have a command output like this, Name ID Mem VCPUs State Time(s) Domain-0 0 15485 16 r----- 1779042.1 prime95-01 512 1 -b---- 61.9 Here I need to list only those rows where state is "r". Something like this, Domain-0 0 15485 16 r----- 1779042.1 I have tried using "grep" and "awk" but still I am not able to succeed. Please help me on this issue. Regards, Raaj

    I've always thought of the if not x is None version to be more clear, but Google's style guide implies (based on this excerpt) that they use if x is not None. Is there any minor performance difference (I'm assuming not), and is there any case where one really doesn't fit (making the other a clear winner for my convention)?* *I'm referring to any singleton, rather than just None. ...to compare singletons like None. Use is or is not.

    I will be creating flatfiles and based on the data in the batch, it might be necessary to split the data into an undetermined number of files. I can make the connection string dynamic with an expression, but that is only evaluated when the package starts. I'd like to change that expression to include a '-a' or '-b' in the filename. Alternately, if I have to create new connection manager objects at run time on demand, how do I go about that?

I'd preferably like to be able to design the main window controls this way without using MFC, rather than creating them on WM_CREATE.     I have a multi-dimensional array that looks like this: The base array is indexed based on category ids from my catalog. $categories[category_id] Each base array has two underlying elements: ['parent_category_id'] ['sort_order'] I want to create a function that allows us to create a list of categories for a given parent_category_id in the correct sort order. Is this possible? Technically it is the same information, but the array is constructed in a weird way to extract that information.

  • When a tech document states that something is IP-Aware was does that specifically mean?

    I need a class room definition for IP-aware for a research assignment. I.E. something that would be used, lets say, in a dictionary. Does anyone know or provide me with a link to a defintiion, I am having no luck with searches. Are IP-Aware devices only devices that can read/find/make decisions based on IP addresses. For example a router would be one, but a network printer would not?

    Hello, We have a need to access a DB that only allows one connection at a time. This screams "singleton" to me. The catch of course is that the singleton connection will be exposed (either directly or indirectly) via a web-service (most probable a SOAP based web-service - located on a separate server from the calling app(s) ) - which means that there may be more than one app / instance attempting to connect to the singleton class. In PHP, what is the best way to create a global singleton or a web-service singleton? TIA
