I am using VS 2008 with SP1.During the start up ,i selected my option as "C# Development settings".Now i wish to turn it to "General development settings".How can i change it ?
I want to add 2 handlers to a particular event like shown above. However this won't compile - 'attribute can be set more than once'. I have multiple methods because they do different things (are named appropriately). e.g. the first handler has nothing in common with the second.
My other option was to kludge a SetFlagForCursorTrackingAndCheckForViewLink method - which is "Yech!".
Any ideas ?
I want to wrap a existing msi installer file into NSIS installer executable. Because there is not any option to change the icon of the msi file. I just want to customize the icon of the output setup.exe. Along with this I would also want to make sure that NSIS does not add any extra user interface into my installer. Have anybody an idea to do this ? Thanks in advance.
I have a script with a number of options in it one of the option sets is supposed to change the directory and then exit the script however running over ssh with the source to get it to change in the parent it exits SSH is there another way to do this so that it does not exit? my script is in the /usr/sbin directory.
What are the dangerous characters that should be replaced in user input when the users' input will be inserted in a MySQL query? I know about quotes, double quotes, \r and \n. Are there others?(I don't have the option of using a smart connector that accepts parameters so I have to build the query myself and this will be implemented in multiple programming languages, including some obscure ones so solutions such as mysql_real_escape_string in PHP are not valid)
I currently make my website using iWeb. Is there a way that I can embed a WordPress blog into the site? Either through an easy option or through coding?
I am using eclipse with the maven 2 plugin.
I want to add the dependency for sqljdbc4, how can I do that?
Can't seem to find it via the 'add dependency' option in eclipse?
I want to use functionality from a certain method in apache commons StringUtils. I currently do not have the option of just using the library as one would normally do. I found the source for the method I need and my question is: am I free (legally) to use this code (just a method out of the library) or do I have to use the entire library? If its ok, what kind of attribution would I need in my code, if any? Thanks.
I've noticed the basic 'style' of most GNU core applications whereby arguments are:
--longoption
--longoption=value or --longoption value
-abcdefg (multiple options)
-iuwww-data (option i, u = www-data)
They follow the above style. I want to avoid writing an argument parser if there's a library that does this using the above style. Is there one you know of?

// @require http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.2.6/jquery.js
jQuery doesn't work in Greasemonkey at all. Is there other way to use jQuery in Greasemonkey?

For all the people who have the same problem, you must upload the file to greasespot then install it from there.
The Create New Script option wouldn't work!
I am using CreateProcess function for creating the process, is there any option to get the current state of the process (running or not). Kindly guide me how can I make it possible.
When a build fails, VS pops up with an option to run the last successful build. Someone clicked "Yes" and "Don't show this dialogue box again" on my machine, and now I'm stuck with that setting. How can I reset it?
Is there any way of changing the standard by which NetBeans automatically formats the code when doing "Source-Format"? I seem to remember seeing this option somewhere, but I can't find anything about it.
If you have a handle to a Spinner object in an Android activity, can you programmatically pop open the spinner options - thereby forcing the user to choose an option even though they did not click on the spinner themselves?
Hi everybody,
I have seen more and more of the websites that offers a undo option after pressing a delete button. How is the logic done behind the button?
Is the item deleted by javascript and "dissapears" from the users screen and a scheduled delete added, that gives the user time to undo it or how does it work?
What are the other options to offer the users an undo feature?
I am dealing with a large old codebase that has a lot of these:
try
{
...
}
catch
{
throw;
}
Resharper helpfully marks these and offers the option to "Remove redundant catch", but I don't like having to go through one-by-one, I would like to wipe them out all at once. Is there a way to do that with Resharper, possibly by integrating it in with "Code cleanup"?
Using Flex Builder 3, I do not have an option to export a release build for my SWC. Is there such a concept - "release" versus "debug" versions for a SWC?
Hello.
I need to use PHPMailer to send emails out for the following reasons:
small lists (less then 500)
password resets
general notifications, 100ish emails at a time
And PHPMailer gives me the option to send via mail(), sendmail, or SMTP. Is there any reason to prefer one of these methods over the other?
I don't know enough about email services in general to make an informed decision.
In am using MS Word via OLE to produce documents from my application. I want to give the users that have MS Office 2007 SP2 installed the ability to save the documents as PDF. This is only available in SP2, and the option should be hidden if the service pack is not installed (and of course also for users of previous versions of MS Office).
Is this information available anywhere, like in the registry or any configuration file?
I've used PPerl for deamon like processes.
This program turns ordinary perl
scripts into long running daemons,
making subsequent executions extremely
fast. It forks several processes for
each script, allowing many proceses to
call the script at once.
Does anyone know of something like this for ruby? Right now I am planing on using a wrapper around curl to call a REST WebService written in Sinatra running on JRuby. I'm hoping there is a simpler option.
This is a follow up to this question. I'm totally blind so printed books aren't an option. All the recommended books appear to have been published before electronic publishing got started. I've been able to learn the very basics but would like something between here's what a register is, and the IBM reference material. Searching the normal places like Safari Books Online has come up dry.
I am building a module, or component not sure yet, but I need to have a some options that depend on another option. For example, if you choose "A" then options 1, 2 and 3 appear. If you choose "B" then 4,5 and 6 appear.
I can make everything appear at once just sending in the but can I make some params only appear after another is chosen?
Thank you.
I have a model with ManyToManyField to another model. I would like to get all the info on a particular record (including the related info from other models) return by JSON.
How to get django-piston to display those values? I would be happy with just primary keys.
Or can you suggest another option ?
I've learned today, if you append to your query
OPTION (MAXDOP 0)
your query will run on multiple processors and if it's huge query, query will perform faster.
I know general guidelines on query optimizations (using indexes, selecting only needed fields etc.), my question is about SQL Server optimization. Maybe changing some options in configurations or anything else.
What guidelines are there for SQL Server Optimization?
Thank you.
