'); END; It is still showing error message after specified it in EXCEPTION block. Can i handle these type of errors using PRAGMA EXCEPTION_INIT i.e not providing enough values in the select statement... If not what type of errors can be handled in System Defined Unnamed Exception using PRAGMA EXCEPTION_INIT.

  • SQL Invalid Object Name 'AddressType'

    I am getting the above error in my VS 2008 C# method when I try to invoke the SQL getColumnNames stored procedure from VS. This SP accepts one input parameter, the table name, and works successfully from SSMS. Currently I am selecting the AdventureWorks AddressType table for it to pull the column names from this table. I can see teh AdventureWorks table available in VS from my Server Explorer / Data Connection. And I see both the AddressType table and getColumnNames SP showing in Server Explorer. But I am still getting this error listed above.   • Would an array of SSD drives be able to succesfully substitute the system memory?

    I watched a few videos trying to answer this. This video (youtube.com/watch?v=eULFf6F5Ri8) shows a bunch of guys stacking 24 SSD's reaching a peak of around 2GBps r/w. That's under the limit of the worst DDR3 in this list (memorybenchmark.net/write_ddr3_amd.html) - that shows DDR3 memory performance varying from 2.78 to 6.55 Gb per second, but that video is over 3 years old. This video (youtube.com/watch?v=27GmBzQWwP0) shows a more optimistic situation, but for PCI-E SSD drives: 5 drives peaking at around 4Gb. And this other video shows that stacking up more than 3 SSD's doesn't realistically offer a substantial added performance. This and the fact that in all benchmarks the drives act quite poorly when dealing with small files (5k file read/write averaging from 10MB to around 30-40MBps) as opposed to how native memory handles such files, seems to indicate a definite NO to this question. Also, the write life cycle is indeed limited and the drives might wear out quickly, as kindly pointed out by paddy. However, I wanted to get more opinions on this. Would it be possible to at least obtain current memory performance with SSD's in RAID 0? And if so, in what circumstances? I am assuming using this configuration with a Windows OS that has a memory pagefile resident to that stack of SSD's, thus making it very fast to work with.

  • Our company claims that the DLP system can even monitor the contents of HTTPS traffic, how is this possible?

    There is software installed on all client machines for DLP (Data Loss Prevention) and HIPAA compliance. Supposedly it can read HTTPS data clearly. I always thought that between the browser and the server, this was encrypted entirely. How can software sneak in and grab this data from the browser prior to it is encrypted or after it is decrypted? I am just curious as to how this could be possible. I would think that a browser wouldn't be considered very secure if this was possible.

    Project: WCF Data service using internally EF4 CTP5 Code-First approach. I configured entities with inheritance (TPH). See previous question on this topic: Previous question about multiple entities- same table The mapping works well, and unit test over EF4 confirms that queries runs smoothly. My entities looks like this: ContactBase (abstract) Customer (inherits from ContactBase), this entity has also several Navigation properties toward other entities Resource (inherits from ContactBase) I have configured a discriminator, so both Customer and Resource map to the same table. Again, everythings works fine on the Ef4 point of view (unit tests all greens!) However, when exposing this DBContext over WCF Data services, I get: - CustomerBases sets exposed (Customers and Resources sets seems hidden, is it by design?) - When I query over Odata on Customers, I get this error: Navigation Properties are not supported on derived entity types.     There's a Linksys WRT54GL router with DD-WRT firmware (v23SP2). What I tried, as suggested here: ping -I vlan2 <address> ping 192.168.2.1 <address> In both cases ping simply exits with no error messages. Also, ping ignores many other parameters, again, by exiting silently. I failed to find any references that DD-WRT has a limited version of ping whatsoever. I also don't think it can be a permissions issue as mentioned here since the only user with DD-WRT is root. What's wrong?

  • UnauthorizedAccessException when running desktop application from shared folder

    I created a desktop application using VS 2008. When I run it locally, all works well. I shared my output folder (WITHOUT allowing network users to change my files) and ran my exe from another Vista computer on our intranet. When running the shared exe, I receive "System.UnauthorizedAccessException" when trying to read a file. How can I give permission to allow reading the file? Should I change the code? Should I grant permission to the application\folder on the Vista computer? how? Notes: I do not use ClickOnce. the application should be distributed using xcopy.   • How to network a Mac running System 7.6 with Mac OS X 10.6 or Windows Vista over Ethernet?

    The title pretty much says it all. I have a Powerbook 540c that is connected to my network via Ethernet. It has no Internet tools on it at all, and its running System 7.6. I am trying to figure out a way to get it to mount a drive on either my Windows Vista workstation or my Snow Leopard Macbook. Once I do that I can get an old browser on there and get what I need off the Internet. Thus far I have not been able to get it connected. Microsoft dropped Appletalk support in XP and despite enabling Appletalk on my Macbook, the powerbook cannot see it in the Chooser. Any ideas?

    I am dual booting for legacy reasons, and I have a 2nd internal drive that I would like to use from both XP and 7. Should I go with the standard NTFS? (will the secuirty features be an issue, with different SIDs from the different users) Should I go with FAT32? Should I try out the new exFAT? Also, I curently have two of my 3 drives as "dynamic disks" and 1 spaned volume created on them. (i did this from XP) Win7 can see them/it fine. Is this an ok thing to do?

And these fixes did not fix my problem. What steps can I take to troubleshoot this?     forgive me, but I don't know the technical term to know what to search for. I am trying to find a way to keep track of changes in my code during the development of my program. something that would allow me to go back to a section of code that I deleted. I am not talking about "undo". But rather a way that would let me keep track or be able to retrieve a section of my code that I deleted but now want it back. Is there such a way. If there is, then what is this whole system/procedure called? Is there something that integrates with visual studio 2010? Many thanks for your help.
