• How to trouble 9-patch image in android

  Hi, I have an ImageView in my layout xml file. I set the width to wrap_content and height to fill_parent. In hierarchy viewer, the width is 2 px and height is 120 px. But when i see it on device, my 9-patch image for the image view does not stretch to 120 px. Can you please tell me how can I trouble shoot this 9 patch image does not stretch error? Thank you.

  When the return button on the keyboard for a textfield is tapped I want to add a UIView, then connect to a website with NSURlConnection sendsynchronousrequest and I have the code in that order But when I run in the simulator (I can't run on device) the connection is run first then the subview is added (ie the opposite of the order of the code) Why is this and how can stop it, because I want the view to added, then the connection done and then the view removed.

It's working well, but what I want now is to do the inverse. Based on a known x and y coordinate return the index of a location.   I have a thread that sets a value to true when it is done. Until then I wait: while(1) { if(done[0] == true) { break; } } This code works just fine in Debug but in Release it stays in the loop forever even though the debugger clearly says that it is true and not false. Why would this not work? Thanks

  LINQ to SQL .Count takes way to much process time and decreases performances. I am doing a recursive loop and for one child (lets call it parent) I have to check the number of children under it to make a decision if it should be included or not. The Count is too slow 8 ms :( for 120 parent records. Any ideas to make it quicker.
