  • Binding a select in a client template

I recently got a question on one of my client template posts asking me how to bind a select tags value to data in client templates. I was surprised not to find anything on the web addressing the problem, so I thought Id write a short post about it. It really is very simple once you know where to look. You just need to bind the value property of the select tag, like this: <select sys:value="{binding color}"> If you do it from markup like here, you just need to use the sys: prefix....Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors? We already have over 80 articles in several categories including Silverlight. Take a look: here.

  • Ubuntu 12.04 does not see windows already install on my computer (dual installation)

    - by jacinta
I was trying to install the ubuntu 12.4 along side windows 7 on my new HP Pavilion 64k desktop with windows 7 computer but Ubuntu said that ( This computer has no detected operating system) and some one said (I suggest you chkdsk your Windows partition. I also suggest you resize the NTFS in WIndows then install Ubuntu to the free space.) Therefore I did (To shrink a simple or spanned volume using the Windows interface In Disk Management, right-click the simple or spanned volume you want to shrink. Click Shrink Volume…. Follow the instructions on your screen.) Then When I try to install ubuntu 12.4 after doing this, I received the same error. I was going to undo what I did but I see that I lose 1g when I do that so now what do I do? it says I can do a new simple volume and maybe then the space will no longer be unallocated. Please help me. I think I have a bad cd (ubuntu 12.4) cause from my research I see that I am not suppose to get a screen saying that (The computer has no detected operating system) I think this is a bad cd and I hope I did not mess up my computer. Please help. .................................................................................... O k I think I am following what you said about how to edit my question irrational john. I did chkdsk as you and actionparsnip (andrew-woodhead666) told me to AND ALSO did a lot of other things before I found out how to chkdsk. No problems. Thank you. Then I put back the space (extended) I took from system. I still was only able to put back 15 and not 16 so it is up to 99mb not back to 100mb. Then I shrank HP (C) as you told me, to 10 13,240 mb which is (12.93gb Unallocated). I did not change it into NTSF by doing the (New Simple Volume Action) I just left it. Then I tried to install UBUNTU 12.04 live CD amd64 and it gave me the results it was sometimes giving me before which is result (THAT Ubuntu) does not tell me weather I have or have not an already installed windows7. It just goes to a window that would have showed me information on what I have and on the bottom (DEVICE FOR BOOT LOADER INSTALLATION /dev/sda ) and the option to go BACK, QUIT, or INSTALL. (I think it is the INSTALLATION TYPE window). Therefore I do what I have been doing and I QUIT. What do I do now? Sorry that it seems like I cannot do anything on my own. On the Youtube video how to install ubuntu dual-boot alongside windows UBUNTU is installed so easy. The installation option page gives 3 options including dual instillation and the disk even lets you use a slider to slide to the size of the partition size you want. Yet my UBUNTU live cd is a mess and I checked it as one of you guys told me and got back information that it is good. Oh well this guy says you should press a control key to tell which device you are using to install ubuntu before the screen comes up. I guess cause it is old. This page also shows you easy stuff that do not show up on my cd. how to dual-boot UBUNTU and windows 7 P.S.. I saw this on the windows 7 website windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Formatting-disks-and-drives-frequently-asked-questions CREATE A BOOT PARTITION I HAD TO LEAVE OUT THE HTTP STUFF CAUSE I AM ONLY ALLOWED 2 ON A PAGE IT SAID To create a boot partition Warning Warning If you are installing different versions of Windows, you must install the earliest version first. Formatting disks and drives: frequently asked questions Hard disks, the primary storage devices on your computer, need to be formatted before you can use them. When you format a disk, you configure it with a file system so that Windows can store information on the disk. Hard disks in new computers running Windows are already formatted. If you buy an additional hard disk to expand the storage of your computer, you might need to format it. Storage devices such as USB flash drives and flash memory cards usually come preformatted by the manufacturer, so you probably won't need to format them. CDs and DVDs, on the other hand, use different formats from hard disks and removable storage devices. For information about formatting CDs and DVDs, see Which CD or DVD format should I use? THEN I TRIED TO INSTALL UBUNTU i NEVER GOT THE 3RD SCREEN THAT IS IN THE VIDEO I INCLUDED (THE YOUTUBE WITH THE ENGLISH GUY) INSTALLATION TYPE I ALSO DID NOT GET THE 4TH SCREEN THAT ALLOWS YOU TO SELECT PARTITION SIZE what i got next was the 2nd INSTILLATION TYPE window shown on the (LINUX BS DOS.COM) PAGE THAT I INCLUDED and it showed no information about any drives (no drives /partition or stuff was shown) only the Boot Loader statement and the dev/sda bar and that's why i did not press install but chose to QUIT. A boot partition is a partition that contains the files for the Windows operating system. If you want to install a second operating system on your computer (called a dual-boot or multiboot configuration), you need to create another partition on the hard disk, and then install the additional operating system on the new partition. Your hard disk would then have one system partition and two boot partitions. (A system partition is the partition that contains the hardware-related files. These tell the computer where to look to start Windows.) To create a partition on a basic disk, there must be unallocated disk space on your hard disk. With Disk Management, you can create a maximum of three primary partitions on a hard disk. You can create extended partitions, which include logical drives within them, if you need more partitions on the disk. Picture of disk space in Computer ManagementUnallocated disk space If there is no unallocated space, you will either need to create space by shrinking or deleting an existing partition or by using a third-party partitioning tool to repartition your hard disk. I think the best thing for me to do now is to get a cheap used laptop and either do a dual installation or just install Ubuntu on to it. This way if I have any issues that I cannot solve like the one I had here, at least I will still have a usable computer to work on and to use to get answers with because I am not an expert like the people on this forum. Thanks a lot I will try to keep learning and do research enough to some day help someone else.

  • Loading the Cache from the Business Application Server

    - by ACShorten
By default, the Web Application server will directly connect to the Database to load its cache at startup time. Customers, who implement the product installation in distributed mode, where the Web Application Server and Business Application Server are deployed separately, may wish to prevent the Web Application Server to connect to the database directly. Installation of the product in distributed mode was introduced in Oracle Utilities Application Framework V2.2. In the Advanced Web Application Server configuration, it is possible to set the Create Simple Web Application Context (WEBAPPCONTEXT) to true to force the Web Application Server to load its cache via the Business Application rather than direct loading. The value of false will retain the default behavior of allowing the Web Application Server to connect directly to the database at startup time to load the cache. The value of true will load the cache data via direct calls to the Business Application Server, which can cause a slight delay in the startup process to cater for the architecture load rather than the direct load. The impact of the settings is illustrated in the figure below:                             When setting this value to true, the following properties files should be manually removed prior to executing the product: $SPLEBASE/etc/conf/root/WEB-INF/classes/hibernate.properties $SPLEBASE/splapp/applications/root/WEB-INF/classes/hibernate.properties Note: For customers who are using a local installation, where the Web Application Server and Business Application Server are combined in the deployed server, it is recommended to set this parameter to false, the default, unless otherwise required. This facility is available for Oracle Utilities Application Framework V4.1 in Group Fix 3 (via Patch 11900153) and Patch 13538242 available from My Oracle Support.

  • Encrypted home breaks on login

    - by berkes
My home is encrypted, which breaks the login. Gnome and other services try to find all sorts of .files, write to them, read from them and so on. E.g. .ICEauthority. They are not found (yet) because at that moment the home is still encrypted. I do not have automatic login set, since that has known issues with encrypted home in Ubuntu. When I go trough the following steps, there is no problem: boot up the system. [ctr][alt][F1], login. run ecryptfs-mount-private [ctr][alt][F7], done. Can now login. I may have some setting wrong, but have no idea where. I suspect ecryptfs-mount-private should be ran earlier in bootstrap, but do not know how to make it so. Some issues that may cause trouble: I have a fingerprint reader, it works for login and PAM. I have three keyrings in seahorse, containing passwords from old machines (backups). Not just one. Suggestion was that the PAM settings are wrong, so here are the relevant parts from /etc/pam.d/common-auth. # here are the per-package modules (the "Primary" block) auth [success=3 default=ignore] pam_fprintd.so auth [success=2 default=ignore] pam_unix.so nullok_secure try_first_pass auth [success=1 default=ignore] pam_winbind.so krb5_auth krb5_ccache_type=FILE cached_login try_first_pass # here's the fallback if no module succeeds auth requisite pam_deny.so # prime the stack with a positive return value if there isn't one already; # this avoids us returning an error just because nothing sets a success code # since the modules above will each just jump around auth required pam_permit.so # and here are more per-package modules (the "Additional" block) auth optional pam_ecryptfs.so unwrap # end of pam-auth-update config I am not sure about how this configuration works, but ut seems that maybe the*optional* in auth optional pam_ecryptfs.so unwrap is causing the ecryptfs to be ignored?

  • Compute if a function is pure

    - by Oni
As per Wikipedia: In computer programming, a function may be described as pure if both these statements about the function hold: The function always evaluates the same result value given the same argument value(s). The function result value cannot depend on any hidden information or state that may change as program execution proceeds or between different executions of the program, nor can it depend on any external input from I/O devices. Evaluation of the result does not cause any semantically observable side effect or output, such as mutation of mutable objects or output to I/O devices. I am wondering if it is possible to write a function that compute if a function is pure or not. Example code in Javascript: function sum(a,b) { return a+b; } function say(x){ console.log(x); } isPure(sum) // True isPure(say) // False

  • How to make the run button run the project, not the file, in Eclipse

    - by Roy T.
I'm using the Spring IDE, a variant of Eclipse to create a Java project. One big irritation I have is that when I press the run button Eclipse tries to run the current file, which usually fails because it doesn't have a main method. I've set up run configurations in the hope that would make the play button default to the run configuration instead of the current file, but that doesn't work either. Now to run my application correctly I have to press the little arrow next to play, select my favorite run configuration and then it works, this is only two extra clicks but it's tedious, the button is small and I feel like I shouldn't have to perform these extra steps. I mean what is the point of run configurations and projects if it still tries to run a file by default? Even more preferably I wouldn't even want to touch the mouse but just press Ctrl+F11, but this has the same behavior. All above applies to debugging as well btw. So my question is this: how do I make the run and debug buttons (and their short keys) default to the project's run configuration instead of to trying (and failing) to run only the current file? Much like it is in Visual Studio and other IDEs?

  • RDA Health Checks for SOA

    - by ShawnBailey
What is a health check in RDA? A health check evaluates something in your environment to determine whether a change needs to be considered in order to avoid a problem or optimize fuctionality. Examples of what this 'something' might be are: Configuration Parameters JVM Options Runtime Statistics What have we done for SOA? In the latest release of RDA, 4.30, we have added a Rule Set for SOA called 'Oracle SOA 11g (11.1.1) Post Installation (Generic)'. This Rule Set contains 14 SOA related health checks. These checks were all derived from common issues / solutions we see in support of the SOA product. Many of the recommendations come from the product documentation while others are covered in the SOA Knowledge Base. Our goal is that you will be able to easily identify the areas of concern and understand the guidance available from the output of the Rule Set. Running the health checks for SOA The rules that the checks use are installed with RDA and bundled by product or functional area into what are called 'Rule Sets'. To view the available Rule Sets simply run the command from the RDA home location: rda.cmd (or .sh) -dT hcve This will bring up a list of the available HCVE (Health Check / Verification Engine) Rule Sets. Each Rule Set contains a group of related rules that are used for evalutation and display of results. A rule can be considered synonymous with a single health check and they are assigned an ID, Name and Description that can be seen when they are executed. The Rule Set for SOA is option number 11 and you just enter this selection at the prompt. The Rule Set will then execute to completion. After running an HCVE Rule Set the tool will write the output to the RDA_HOME/output folder. The simplest way to view the output is to drag the .htm file to a browser but of course it can also be uploaded to a Service Request for evaluation by Oracle Support. Many of the Rule Sets will prompt you for information before they can execute their rules but the SOA Rule Set will identify the SOA domains configured in your RDA setup.cfg file. This means that you don't need to answer all of the questions again about where stuff is but it also means that you must have configured RDA for SOA. To run the Rule Set: Download the latest version of RDA from MOS Doc ID 314422.1 Configure RDA for your SOA domains. Detailed steps can be found here In it's simplest form the command is 'rda.cmd (.sh) -S SOA' Go to the RDA home location and enter the command 'rda.cmd (or .sh) -dT hcve' Select option '11' It should be noted that this our first release of a SOA Rule Set so there will probably be some things we need to clean up or fix. None of these rules will actually modify anything on your system as they are read only and do the evaluations internally. Please let us know if you have any issues with the rules or ideas for new ones so we can make them as useful as possible. The Checks Here is a list of the SOA health checks by ID, Name and Description. ID Name Description A00100 SOA Domain Homes Lists the SOA domains that were indentified from the RDA setup.cfg file A00200 Coherence Protocol Conflict Checks to see if you have both Unicast and Multicast configured in the same domain. Checks both the setDomainEnv and config.xml entries (if it exists). We recommend Unicast with fully qualified host names or IP addresses. A00210 Coherence Fully Qualified Host Checks that the host names are fully qualified or that IP addresses are used. Will fail if unqualified host names are detected. A00220 Unicast Local Host Checks that the Coherence localhost is specified for use with Unicast A00300 JTA Timeout Checks that the JTA timeout is configured for the domain and lists the value. The bundled rule will only list the current values of the JTA timeout for each SOA Domain. In the future the rule with fail with a warning if the value is 300 seconds or lower. It is recommended that timeouts follow the pattern 'syncMaxWaitTime' < EJB Timeouts < JTA Timeout. The 300 second value is important because the EJB Timeouts default to 300 seconds. Additional information can be found in MOS Doc ID 880313.1. A00310 XA Max Time Checks that the JTA Maximum XA call time is set for the domain. Fails if it is not explicitly set or if the value is less than or equal to the default of 12000 ms. A00320 XA Timeout Checks that the XA timeout is enabled and that the value is '0' for the SOA Data Source (SOADataSource-jdbc.xml) A00330 JDBC Statement Timeout Checks that the Statement Timeout is set for all SOA Data Sources. Fails if the value is not set or if it is set to the default of -1. A00400 XA Driver Checks that the SOA Data Source is configured to use an XA driver. Fails if it is not. A00410 JDBC Capacity Settings Checks that the minimum and maximum capacity are equal for all SOA Data Sources. Fails if they are not and lists specifically which data sources failed. A00500 SOA Roles Checks that the default SOA roles 'SOAAdmin' and 'SOAOperator' are configured for the soa-infra application in the file sytem-jazn-data.xml. Fails if they are not. A00700 SOA-INFRA Deployment Checks that the soa-infra application is deployed to either a cluster, all members of a cluster or a stand alone server. A00710 SOA Deployments Checks that the SOA related applications are deployed to the same domain members as soa-infra. A00720 SOA Library Deployments Checks that the SOA related libraries are deployed to the same domain members as soa-infra. A00730 Data Source Deployments Checks that the SOA Data Sources are all targeted to the same domain members as soa-infra

  • Disable comments / Spam protection

    - by SamIAm
My client site is built in Silverstripe, there is a news page, and it allows people to leave comments. Unfortunately we've got loads of spam emails. I'm new to this, is there any way we can disable the comment field by default? How do I do it? Alternatively is there easy way for me to install a spam protection? Thanks heaps. • Could not apply the stored configuration for the monitor

    - by dellphi
    I'm using Nvidia 7300 gt and monitor-Acer V173w, on 64 bit Ubuntu 10.04. Compiz and Emerald went well, but at the time of entry into the GUI, I always receive the message : "Could not apply the stored configuration for the monitor, could not find a suitable configuration of screens" Why do I always receive it, and what is wrong with the monitor configuration or pci-e is used? root@dellph1-desktop:/# xrandr Screen 0: minimum 320 x 240, current 1440 x 900, maximum 1440 x 900 default connected 1440x900+0+0 0mm x 0mm 1440x900 50.0* 1024x768 51.0 58.0 59.0 1360x768 52.0 53.0 1152x864 54.0 55.0 56.0 57.0 960x600 60.0 960x540 61.0 896x672 62.0 840x525 63.0 64.0 65.0 66.0 832x624 67.0 800x600 68.0 69.0 70.0 71.0 72.0 73.0 800x512 74.0 720x450 75.0 680x384 76.0 77.0 640x512 78.0 79.0 640x480 80.0 81.0 82.0 83.0 576x432 84.0 85.0 86.0 87.0 512x384 88.0 89.0 90.0 416x312 91.0 400x300 92.0 93.0 94.0 95.0 320x240 96.0 97.0 98.0 root@dellph1-desktop:/# === xorg.conf # nvidia-settings: X configuration file generated by nvidia-settings # nvidia-settings: version 260.19.29 ([email protected]) Wed Dec 8 12:27:27 PST 2010 Section "ServerLayout" Identifier "Layout0" Screen 0 "Screen0" 0 0 InputDevice "Keyboard0" "CoreKeyboard" InputDevice "Mouse0" "CorePointer" Option "Xinerama" "0" EndSection Section "Files" EndSection Section "InputDevice" # generated from default Identifier "Mouse0" Driver "mouse" Option "Protocol" "auto" Option "Device" "/dev/psaux" Option "Emulate3Buttons" "no" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" EndSection Section "InputDevice" # generated from default Identifier "Keyboard0" Driver "kbd" EndSection Section "Monitor" # HorizSync source: xconfig, VertRefresh source: xconfig Identifier "Monitor0" VendorName "Unknown" ModelName "Acer V173W" HorizSync 30.0 - 83.0 VertRefresh 55.0 - 75.0 Option "DPMS" EndSection Section "Device" Identifier "Device0" Driver "nvidia" VendorName "NVIDIA Corporation" BoardName "GeForce 7300 GT" EndSection Section "Screen" # Removed Option "metamodes" " 1440x900_60 +0+0; 1280x1024 +0+0" # Removed Option "metamodes" "1440x900 +0+0" Identifier "Screen0" Device "Device0" Monitor "Monitor0" DefaultDepth 24 Option "TwinView" "0" Option "TwinViewXineramaInfoOrder" "CRT-0" Option "metamodes" "1440x900_75 +0+0; 1440x900 +0+0" SubSection "Display" Depth 24 EndSubSection EndSection

  • Design of input files reading when it comes to defaults/transformations

    - by Stefano Borini
Suppose you have an application that reads an input file, on a language that does not support the concept of None. The input is read, parsed, and the contents are stored on a structure for later use. Now, in general you want to keep into account transformation of the data from the input, such as adding default values when not specified, or adding full path information to relative path specified in the input. There are two different strategies to achieve this. The first strategy is to perform these transformations at input file reading time. In practice, you put all the intelligence into the input parser, and your application has no logic to deal with unexpected circumstances, such as an unspecified value. You lose the information of what was specified and what wasn't, but you gain in black-boxing the details. Your "running code" needs that information in any case and in a proper form, and is not concerned if it's the default or a user-specified information. The second strategy is to have the file reader a real one-to-one mapper from the file to a memory-stored object, with no intelligent behavior. unspecified values are not filled (which may however be a problem in languages not supporting None) and data is stored verbatim from the file. The intelligence for recovery must now go into the "running code", which must check what was specified in the file, eventually fall back to a default, or modify the input properly before using it. I would like to know your opinion on these two approaches, and in particular which one you found the most frequently implemented.

  • Links won't open in Outlook

    - by Scott Mitchell
About a week ago Chrome (my default browser) stopped working and I ended up reinstalling. After that, however, links in Outlook 2007, when clicked, no longer open. Instead, I get a warning that reads: General failure. The URL was: URL. Application not found. I presume that there is some MIME or file type association that needs to be configured at the OS level, but I've not had any luck so far. My operating system is Windows 7. Any ideas? EDIT #1 Wayne Johnston suggested I set Chrome as my default browser, but when I go to the Set Default Programs screen in Windows 7 (via Control Panel) I do not see Chrome in the list of programs. How do I get it to show up there?

  • Configure Windows XP Embedded to automatically dismiss unexpected MessageBoxes

    - by Pokot0
I have the need to configure a Windows XP Embedded system in order to dismiss modal MessageBoxes with a default reply. I am aware of the EnableDefaultReply feature but I need to be more selective on which MessageBoxes to dismiss or select the default reply on some criteria (example: name of the window). My biggest problem right now is that: If do not enable the EnableDefaultReply feature: some background services pop up dialogboxes which are never dismissed and block the application If I enable the EnableDefaultReply feature: I am no longer able to logon to the system if another user is logged in (a MessageBox popups asking if you want to steal the logon and the default answer is NO). Do you have any experience you can share with this problem?

  • Date Compare Validator Control ASP.NET

    - by Sahanr
Compare two input dates to avoid invalid dates. In this example I have created two textboxes and namded as "TextBoxSeminarDate" and "TextBoxBookingDeadline". Booking deadline date must be before date to the Seminar date. Therefore I used Operator as "LesThanEqual". I have validated "TextBoxBookingDeadline" value comparing with the "TextBoxSeminarDate" value as follow.   <asp:CompareValidator ID="CompareValidatorBookingDeadline" runat="server" ControlToCompare="TextBoxSeminarDate" ControlToValidate="TextBoxBookingDeadline" Display="Dynamic" ErrorMessage="Please check the seminar date and select appropriate date for booking deadline" Operator="LessThanEqual" Type="Date"  ValueToCompare="<%= TextBoxSeminarDate.Text.ToShortString() %>">*</asp:CompareValidator> The important thing is "ValueToCompare" property of the compare validator. Here I have assined it to the value of the TextboxSeminarDate and then compered it with the booking deadline date.

  • How to display a dependent list box disabled if no child data exist

    - by frank.nimphius
A requirement on OTN was to disable the dependent list box of a model driven list of value configuration whenever the list is empty. To disable the dependent list, the af:selectOneChoice component needs to be refreshed with every value change of the parent list, which however already is the case as the list boxes are already dependent. When you create model driven list of values as choice lists in an ADF Faces page, two ADF list bindings are implicitly created in the PageDef file of the page that hosts the input form. At runtime, a list binding is an instance of FacesCtrlListBinding, which exposes getItems() as a method to access a list of available child data (java.util.List). Using Expression Language, the list is accessible with #{bindings.list_attribute_name.items} To dynamically set the disabled property on the dependent af:selectOneChoice component, however, you need a managed bean that exposes the following two methods //empty – but required – setter method public void setIsEmpty(boolean isEmpty) {} //the method that returns true/false when the list is empty or //has values public boolean isIsEmpty() {   FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();   ELContext elctx = fctx.getELContext();   ExpressionFactory exprFactory =                          fctx.getApplication().getExpressionFactory();   ValueExpression vexpr =                       exprFactory.createValueExpression(elctx,                         "#{bindings.EmployeeId.items}",                       Object.class);   List employeesList = (List) vexpr.getValue(elctx);                        return employeesList.isEmpty()? true : false;      } If referenced from the dependent choice list, as shown below, the list is disabled whenever it contains no list data <! --  master list --> <af:selectOneChoice value="#{bindings.DepartmentId.inputValue}"                                  label="#{bindings.DepartmentId.label}"                                  required="#{bindings.DepartmentId.hints.mandatory}"                                   shortDesc="#{bindings.DepartmentId.hints.tooltip}"                                   id="soc1" autoSubmit="true">      <f:selectItems value="#{bindings.DepartmentId.items}" id="si1"/> </af:selectOneChoice> <! --  dependent  list --> <af:selectOneChoice value="#{bindings.EmployeeId.inputValue}"                                   label="#{bindings.EmployeeId.label}"                                      required="#{bindings.EmployeeId.hints.mandatory}"                                   shortDesc="#{bindings.EmployeeId.hints.tooltip}"                                   id="soc2" disabled="#{lovTestbean.isEmpty}"                                   partialTriggers="soc1">     <f:selectItems value="#{bindings.EmployeeId.items}" id="si2"/> </af:selectOneChoice>

  • TFS API Add Favorites programmatically

    - by Tarun Arora
01 – What are we trying to achieve? In this blog post I’ll be showing you how to add work item queries as favorites, it is also possible to use the same technique to add build definition as favorites. Once a shared query or build definition has been added as favorite it will show up on the team web access.  In this blog post I’ll be showing you a work around in the absence of a proper API how you can add queries to team favorites. 02 – Disclaimer There is no official API for adding favorites programmatically. In the work around below I am using the Identity service to store this data in a property bag which is used during display of favorites on the team web site. This uses an internal data structure that could change over time, there is no guarantee about the key names or content of the values. What is shown below is a workaround for a missing API. 03 – Concept There is no direct API support for favorites, but you could work around it using the identity service in TFS.  Favorites are stored in the property bag associated with the TeamFoundationIdentity (either the ‘team’ identity or the users identity depending on if these are ‘team’ or ‘my’ favorites).  The data is stored as json in the property bag of the identity, the key being prefixed by ‘Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Framework.Server.IdentityFavorites’. References - Microsoft.TeamFoundation.WorkItemTracking.Client - using Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Client; - using Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Framework.Client; - using Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Framework.Common; - using Microsoft.TeamFoundation.ProcessConfiguration.Client; - using Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Server; - using Microsoft.TeamFoundation.WorkItemTracking.Client; Services - IIdentityManagementService2 - TfsTeamService - WorkItemStore 04 – Solution Lets start by connecting to TFS programmatically // Create an instance of the services to be used during the program private static TfsTeamProjectCollection _tfs; private static ProjectInfo _selectedTeamProject; private static WorkItemStore _wis; private static TfsTeamService _tts; private static TeamSettingsConfigurationService _teamConfig; private static IIdentityManagementService2 _ids; // Connect to TFS programmatically public static bool ConnectToTfs() { var isSelected = false; var tfsPp = new TeamProjectPicker(TeamProjectPickerMode.SingleProject, false); tfsPp.ShowDialog(); _tfs = tfsPp.SelectedTeamProjectCollection; if (tfsPp.SelectedProjects.Any()) { _selectedTeamProject = tfsPp.SelectedProjects[0]; isSelected = true; } return isSelected; } Lets get all the work item queries from the selected team project static readonly Dictionary<string, string> QueryAndGuid = new Dictionary<string, string>(); // Get all queries and query guid in the selected team project private static void GetQueryGuidList(IEnumerable<QueryItem> query) { foreach (QueryItem subQuery in query) { if (subQuery.GetType() == typeof(QueryFolder)) GetQueryGuidList((QueryFolder)subQuery); else { QueryAndGuid.Add(subQuery.Name, subQuery.Id.ToString()); } } }   Pass the name of a valid Team in your team project and a name of a valid query in your team project. The team details will be extracted using the team name and query GUID will be extracted using the query name. These details will be used to construct the key and value that will be passed to the SetProperty method in the Identity service.           Key           “Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Framework.Server.IdentityFavorites..<TeamProjectURI>.<TeamId>.WorkItemTracking.Queries.<newGuid1>”           Value           "{"data":"<QueryGuid>","id":"<NewGuid1>","name":"<QueryKey>","type":"Microsoft.TeamFoundation.WorkItemTracking.QueryItem”}"           // Configure a Work Item Query for the given team private static void ConfigureTeamFavorites(string teamName, string queryName) { _ids = _tfs.GetService<IIdentityManagementService2>(); var g = Guid.NewGuid(); var guid = string.Empty; var teamDetail = _tts.QueryTeams(_selectedTeamProject.Uri).FirstOrDefault(t => t.Name == teamName); foreach (var q in QueryAndGuid.Where(q => q.Key == queryName)) { guid = q.Value; } if(guid == string.Empty) { Console.WriteLine("Query '{0}' - Not found!", queryName); return; } var key = string.Format( "Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Framework.Server.IdentityFavorites..{0}.{1}.WorkItemTracking.Queries{2}", new Uri(_selectedTeamProject.Uri).Segments.LastOrDefault(), teamDetail.Identity.TeamFoundationId, g); var value = string.Format( @"{0}""data"":""{1}"",""id"":""{2}"",""name"":""{3}"",""type"":""Microsoft.TeamFoundation.WorkItemTracking.QueryItem""{4}", "{", guid, g, QueryAndGuid.FirstOrDefault(q => q.Value==guid).Key, "}"); teamDetail.Identity.SetProperty(IdentityPropertyScope.Local, key, value); _ids.UpdateExtendedProperties(teamDetail.Identity); Console.WriteLine("{0}Added Query '{1}' as Favorite", Environment.NewLine, queryName); }   If you have any questions or suggestions leave a comment. • lxc containers fail to autoboot in 14.04 trusty using 'lxc.start.auto = 1'

    - by user273046
    In trusty 14.04 containers fail to autoboot despite all settings being set as 14.04 requires. They show all as STOPPED I have correctly configured 2 LXC containers: calypso encelado They run perfectly if I run sudo lxc-autostart then sudo lxc-ls --fancy results in: ubuntu@saturn:/etc/init$ sudo lxc-ls --fancy NAME STATE IPV4 IPV6 AUTOSTART calypso RUNNING 192.168.1.161 - YES encelado RUNNING 192.168.1.162 - YES The problem is trying to run them at boot. I have at: /var/lib/lxc/calypso/config: # Template used to create this container: /usr/share/lxc/templates/lxc-download # Parameters passed to the template: # For additional config options, please look at lxc.conf(5) # Distribution configuration lxc.include = /usr/share/lxc/config/ubuntu.common.conf lxc.arch = x86_64 # Container specific configuration lxc.rootfs = /var/lib/lxc/calypso/rootfs lxc.utsname = calypso # Network configuration lxc.network.type = veth lxc.network.flags = up #lxc.network.link = lxcbr0 lxc.network.link = br0 lxc.network.hwaddr = 00:16:3e:64:0b:6e # Assegnazione IP Address lxc.network.ipv4 = 192.168.1.161/24 lxc.network.ipv4.gateway = 192.168.1.1 # Autostart lxc.start.auto = 1 lxc.start.delay = 5 lxc.start.order = 100 and I have LXC_AUTO="false" as required inside /etc/default/lxc: LXC_AUTO="false" USE_LXC_BRIDGE="false" # overridden in lxc-net [ -f /etc/default/lxc-net ] && . /etc/default/lxc-net LXC_SHUTDOWN_TIMEOUT=120 Any idea on why the containers don't start at boot? At reboot they are always in the STOPPED state: ubuntu@saturn:~$ sudo lxc-ls --fancy NAME STATE IPV4 IPV6 AUTOSTART calypso STOPPED - - YES encelado STOPPED - - YES and then again they can be started manually, using sudo lxc-autostart

  • Data Pump: Consistent Export?

    - by Mike Dietrich
Ouch ... I have to admit as I did say in several workshops in the past weeks that a data pump export with expdp is per se consistent. Well ... I thought it is ... but it's not. Thanks to a customer who is doing a large unicode migration at the moment. We were discussing parameters in the expdp's par file. And I did ask my colleagues after doing some research on MOS. And here are the results of my "research": MOS Note 377218.1 has a nice example showing a data pump export of a partitioned table with DELETEs on that table as inconsistent Background:Back in the old 9i days when Data Pump was designed flashback technology wasn't as popular and well known as today - and UNDO usage was the major concern as a consistent per default export would have heavily relied on UNDO. That's why - similar to good ol' exp - the export won't operate per default in consistency mode To get a consistent data pump export with expdp you'll have to set: FLASHBACK_TIME=SYSTIMESTAMPin your parameter file. Then it will be consistent according to the timestamp when the process has been started. You could use FLASHBACK_SCN instead and determine the SCN beforehand if you'd like to be exact. So sorry if I had proclaimed a feature which unfortunately is not there by default - Mike

  • Why is this static routing not working ?

    - by geeko
Greeting gurus, I'm trying to develop a DHCP enforcement extension like Microsoft NAP. My trick to block dynamic-IP requesting machines (that don't meet certain policy) is to strip the default gateway (no default gateway) stated in the IP lease and set the lease subnet mask to 255.255.255.255. Now I need the blocked machines to be able to reach some specific locations (IPs) on the network. To allow for this, I'm including some static routes in the lease. For example, I'm including 10.10.10.11 via router 10.10.10.254 (the one to which the blocked machine that needs to access 10.10.10.11 is connected). Unfortunately, as soon as I set the default gateway to nothing, blocked machines cannot reach any of the added static routes. I also tried classless static routes. Any ideas ? any one knows how MS NAP actually do it ? Geeko
