• Drupal CCK 3 Multigroup tables with views

  Hi, Each node have CCK-3-dev multigroup with 3 fields. Can I use one of fields as table header? Values of this field are taken from Taxonomy. With a simple recipe example, where food Z and Y are 2 nodes with recipes and each node has multigroup with ingredient name (milk, fish), amount (numbers) and unit (g, kg). Is there a way to create a table like this with views, I want to use views calc to calculate total amount of ingredient needed to prepare multiple recipes: Ingredient A Ingredient B Ingredient C Food Z 200 g 700 g 0 g Food Y 500 g 1000 g 50 g I don't even need units by number, but that would be good too. Anyways, how do I get this?

  Hi all, I'm having a bit of trouble with a Windows Service webbrowser object. It's attempting to load in values of username and password to a site but keeps failing and throwing the following error: System.InvalidCastException: Specified cast is not valid. at System.Windows.Forms.UnsafeNativeMethods.IHTMLDocument2.GetLocation() at System.Windows.Forms.WebBrowser.get_Document() at MyWindowsService.MyDataProcessor.login() The code that I'm using to make this call is: MyWebBrowser.Document.All["Login"].SetAttribute("Value", username); MyWebBrowser.Document.All["Password"].SetAttribute("Value", password); MyWebBrowser.Document.All["submit"].InvokeMember("Click"); Any ideas as to why it keeps failing? • How to create a UDF that takes a query string and returns the query's resultset

  I want to create a stored procedure that takes a simple SELECT statement and return the resultset as a CSV string. So the basic idea is get the sql statement from user input, run it using EXEC(@stmt) and convert the resultset to text using cursors. However, as SQLServer doesn't allow: select * from storedprocedure(@sqlStmt) UDF with EXEC(@sqlStmt) so I tried Insert into #tempTable EXEC(@sqlStmt), but this doesn't work (error = "invalid object name #tempTable"). I'm stuck. Could you please shed some light on this matter? Many thanks EDIT: Actually the output (e.g CSV string) is not important. The problem is I don't know how to assign a cursor to the resultset returned by EXEC. SP and UDF do not work with Exec() while creating a temp table before inserting values is impossible without knowing the input statement. I thought of OPENQUERY but it does not accept variables as its parameters.

  Hello, I have the following scenario: 1 class called 'Widget' with the properties: ID, Code, Description 1 class called 'MyWidget' with a property: m_Widget As Widget 1 ComboBox The ComboBox has a List(Of Widget) set as the ItemSource. I create an instance of 'MyWidget' named MyWidget1 and I set the property values of the m_Widget to match one of the items in the 'ComboBox List(Of Widget)'. I then set the DataContext of the ComboBox to MyWidget1.Widget. When I change the ComboBox selected item, only the ID property of 'MyWidget1.Widget' gets updated... How do I get the object 'Widget' on 'MyWidget1' to be updated instead of just 'MyWidget1.Widget.ID'?   I am having a bear of a time getting this to work. I have a List(Of MyItem) called Items that have a OrderId property on them. From those items, I want to create a list of Orders. Some items will have the same OrderId so I want to try to group by OrderId. I then want to sort by date. Here's what I have so far: Public ReadOnly Property AllOrders() As List(Of Order) Get Return Items.Select(Function(i As MyItem) New Order(i.OrderID)) _ .GroupBy(Function(o As Order) New Order(o.OrderID)) _ .OrderBy(Function(o As Order) o.DateOrdered).ToList End Get End Property This, of course, doesn't compile, and I get the error: Value of type 'System.Collections.Generic.List(Of System.Linq.IGrouping(Of Order, Order))' cannot be converted to 'System.Collections.Generic.List(Of Order))' I've bolded the part where I think the problem is, but I have no idea how to fix it. Also, it used to work fine (except there were duplicate values) before I added the .GroupBy statement. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

• Clear fields on CreateUserWizard, Login control

  I have a createuserwizard and a login control on a page. both of them are customized (standard textboxes are replaced by RadTextBoxes) When i enter a value in the form and refresh the browser without submitting, the forms retain their values. Is there any way i can clear these fields on refresh. • UDF call in entity framework is cached

  I am doing a test after reading an article http://blogs.msdn.com/alexj/archive/2009/08/07/tip-30-how-to-use-a-custom-store-function.aspx about udf function called. When I use a function with objectContext.Entities.Where( t= udf(para1, para2) == 1), here the Entities is not ObjectQuery, but an ObjectSet, the first time I call the method, it runs correctly, if I reuse the objectContext,and run it again but with different para1, para2, then the previous parameter values still cached, and the result is same as previous one, which is wrong. The sql profiler shows that both query hit the database, but the t-sql is the same. Am I missing something? And the ObjectSet does not support .where(esql_string). How to get udf working with ObjectSet? Thanks Fred

  I have a web application with an upload functionality for HTML files generated by chess software to be able to include a javascript player that reproduces a chess game. I do not like to load the uploaded files in a frame so I reconstruct the HTML and javascript generated by the software by parsing the dynamic parts of the file. The problem with the HTML is that all attributes values are surrounded with an apostrophe instead of a quotation mark. I am looking for a way to fix this using a library or a regex replace using c#. The html looks like this: <DIV class='pgb'><TABLE class='pgbb' CELLSPACING='0' CELLPADDING='0'><TR><TD> and I would transform it into: <DIV class="pgb"><TABLE class="pgbb" CELLSPACING="0" CELLPADDING="0"><TR><TD>

• How can I bind a winforms Opacity to a TrackBar (slider)

  I've got a winform with a BindingSource that has an int property named Opacity in its DataSource. I also have a TrackBar on the winform that I want to use to control the Opacity of the winform. I've bound the Value property on the TrackBar to the Opacity and that functions just fine, sliding the TrackBar will change the variable from TrackBar.Minimum (0) to TrackBar.Maximum (1). I've also bound the Opacity property of the winform to this value, however, since the TrackBar's values only go from Minimum to Maximum in +/-1 rather than +/- .1 or so (like Opacity does), it doesn't properly fade the winform. Instead, 0 will turn it opaque and 1 will turn it fully visible. I need a way to work within the architecture described above, but get the TrackBar to change its value from 0 to 1 in defined increments smaller than 1.

  C sharp newbie question...I have a simple asp.net form that has a textbox that collects phonenumbers to send SMS messages. If I bypass the form and hardcode the numbers using the following format: "2133211234",#1233211234" the code works fine. However when i try to use this same format using my form, the sms will ONLY send to the first number. I have a feeling i'm missing out on some property on my form that will accept all of the values. also any idea how how i can add some lines of code that will allow users to enter numbers like this: 3123211234,4123212344 and have it converted to the format above when the number is submitted?   Hi All, I have a quick question. How do I select the two values I need in one query? Currently I'm doing this, which works fine, but it's obviously running two queries when one should do the trick. I tried MAX(columnA) and GROUP BY ColumnB, but that returns multiple row. I only want one row returned. The trick here is that I do not know ahead of time how many values there will be in the IN(). Obviously I know I can generate the query on the go with string manipulations, however since this will run in a loop, I was wondering if I could do it with a PDO PreparedStatement. Something like: $query = $PDO->prepare('SELECT * FROM someTable WHERE someId IN (:idList)'); $query->bindValue(':idList', implode(',', $idArray)); Is that possible?

  Say I have a very simple java object that only has some getXXX and setXXX properties. This object is used only to handle values, basically a record or a type-safe (and performant) map. I often need to covert this object to key value pairs (either strings or type safe) or convert from key value pairs to this object. Other than reflection or manually writing code to do this conversion, what is the best way to achieve this? An example might be sending this object over jms, without using the ObjectMessage type (or converting an incoming message to the right kind of object).

  I have a script that runs a addEventListener for onmousemove and onscroll on the document body to get the cursor position. A onmousemove event works fine (client + scroll), however when a onscroll event occurs clientX/Y seems to inherit scrollTop/Left values instead (only scroll).   Hi, I have a client application that makes SOAP requests. I have set the timeout to 20 minutes. However, sometimes I see the timeout error occurring after 10 seconds. I have the following in code: RIO.HTTPWebNode.ReceiveTimeout := 1200000 Do I need to set the ConnectTimeout and SendTimeOut? Currently they are set to the default values of 0. What difference would setting these make? I am using Delphi 2007. Looking further at the error message I see I get "The operation timed out....". So should I be setting my ReceiveTimeOut to zero since I really do not want any timeout at all?

• MS Access 2003 - VBA for altering a table after a "SELECT * INTO tblTemp FROM tblMain" statement

  Hi. I use functions like the following to make temporary tables out of crosstabs queries. Function SQL_Tester() Dim sql As String If DCount("*", "MSysObjects", "[Name]='tblTemp'") Then DoCmd.DeleteObject acTable, "tblTemp" End If sql = "SELECT * INTO tblTemp from TblMain;" Debug.Print (sql) Set db = CurrentDb db.Execute (sql) End Function I do this so that I can then use more vba to take the temporary table to excel, use some of excel functionality (formulas and such) and then return the values to the original table (tblMain). Simple spot i am getting tripped up is that after the Select INTO statement I need to add a brand new additional column to that temporary table and I do not know how to do this: sql = "Create Table..." is like the only way i know how to do this and of course this doesn't work to well with the above approach because I can't create a table that has already been created after the fact, and I cannot create it before because the SELECT INTO statement approach will return a "table already exists" message. Any help? thanks guys!

• Simple way to return anonymous types (to make MVC using LINQ possible)

  I'd like to implement MVC while using LINQ (specifically, LINQ-to-entities). The way I would do this is have the Controller generate (or call something which generates) the result-set using LINQ, then return that to the View to display the data. The problem is, if I do: return (from o in myTable select o); All the columns are read from the database, even the ones (potentially dozens) I don't want. And - more importantly - I can't do something like this: return (from o in myTable select new { o.column }); because there is no way to make anonymous types type-safe! I know for sure there is no nice, clean way of doing this in 3.5 (this is not clean...), but what about 4.0? Is there anything planned, or even proposed? Without something like duck-typing-for-LINQ, or type-safe anonymous return values (it seems to me the compiler should certainly be capable of that), it appears to be nearly impossible to cleanly separate the Controller from the View.

  Hi, I'm trying to use memcache to cache data retrevied from the datastore. Storing stings works fine. But can't one store an object? I get an error "TypeError: 'str' object is not callable" when trying to store with this: pageData = PageType(page) memcache.add(memcacheid, pageData, 60) I've read in the documentation that it requires "The value type can be any value supported by the Python pickle module for serializing values." But don't really understand what that is. Or how to convert pageData to it. Any ideas? ..fredrik
