    I'm writing simple language in ANTLR, and I'd like to write shell where I can put line of code, hit ENTER and have it executed, enter another line, and have it executed. I have already written grammar which execute all alines of input at one.   • MSDeploy: error using runCommand provider to call remote .cmd file (timeout)

    We are running into an error when trying to use the MSDeploy "runCommand" provider to execute a .cmd file on a remote machine. The expected run time should be about 10 seconds, but MSDeploy only runs it for about 2-3 seconds, after which time error details are returned.   • No attachable databases were found on the SQL Server

    I'm fumbling my way through a basic installation of TFS 2010... I see that the TFS_Configuration and Tfs_DefaultCollection databases were successfully created on my local machine. The installation seemed to go smoothly, but it looks like I need to configure a Team Project Collect before I can start using it. Yet, the wizard seems unable to locate the appropriate database that I expected should have been created during the setup process. The server name defaulted properly to the name of the local machine. Did I miss a step somewhere?

    Hi Everybody I am developing a blackberry application and i wanted to access the websites from my localhost( local machine). I am running the application on blackberry simulator 8350. From my code i can browse request any website from internet and i am getting the response. When i am trying to give the url as localhost:8080/portal/index.php, its displaying me a erro message HTTP Error 404 description The requested resource (/portal/index.php) is not available. I am running my apache webserver on port 8080 over windows. How can i access my local machine website from blackberry simulator? Please help and guide me. Thanks SIA

  • SCCM 2012 unable to update boot images with pxe enabled

    we are fighting an error in sccm 2012. When we attempt to distribute boot images (after selecting the pxe option) we receive an error that the pxe image cannot be expanded (distmgr log). Can you give us any direction on what to try or attempt in this scenario? We only have one dp in our environment at the moment, however we have found that by creating another dp on a different server we don’t have this problem. However we really need the primary site to be a dp. We have tried: Removing and reinstalling the dp Removing and reinstalling the WDS Reinstalled the OS ... ouch Reinstalled SQL We even attempted to manually mount these wims in the remote install folder, no luck...   • Mercurial to Mercurial to Subversion Workflow Problem

    We're migrating from Subversion to Mercurial. To facilitate the migration, we're creating an intermediate Mercurial repository that is a clone of our Subversion repository. All developers will be begin switching over to the Mercurial repository, and we'll periodically push changes from the intermediate Mercurial repository to the existing Subversion repository. After a period of time, we'll simply obsolete the Subversion repository and the intermediate Mercurial repository will become the new system of record. Dev 1 Local --+--> Mercurial --+--> Subversion Dev 2 Local --+ + Dev 3 Local --+ + Dev 4 -------------------------+ I've been testing this out, but I keep running into a problem when I push changes from my local repository, to the intermediate Mercurial repository, and then up into our Subversion repository. On my local machine, I have a changeset that is committed and ready to be pushed to our intermediate Mercurial repository. Here you can see it is revision #2263 with hash 625... I push only this changeset to the remote repository. So far, everything looks good. The changeset has been pushed. hg update 1 files updated, 0 files merged, 0 files removed, 0 files unresolved I now switch over to the remote repository, and update the working directory. hg push pushing to svn://... searching for changes [r3834] bmurphy: database namespace pulled 1 revisions saving bundle to /srv/hg/repository/.hg/strip-backup/62539f8df3b2-temp adding branch adding changesets adding manifests adding file changes added 1 changesets with 1 changes to 1 files rebase completed Next, I push the change up to Subversion, works great. At this point, the change is in the Subversion repository and I return attention back to my local client. I pull changes to my local machine. Huh? I've now got two changesets. My original changeset appears as a local branch now. The other changeset has a new revision number 2264, and a new hash 10c1... Anyway, I update my local repo to the new revision. I'm now switched over. So, I finally click the "determine and mark outgoing changesets" and as you can see Mercurial still wants to push out my previous changesets even though they've already been pushed. Clearly, I'm doing something wrong. I also can't merge the two revisions. If I merge the two revisions on my local machine, I end up with a "merge" commit. When I push that merge commit out to the intermediate Mercurial repository, I can no longer push changes out to our Subversion repository. I end up with the following problem: hg update 0 files updated, 0 files merged, 0 files removed, 0 files unresolved hg push pushing to svn://... searching for changes abort: Sorry, can't find svn parent of a merge revision. and I have to rollback the merge to get back to a working state. What am I missing?

  • Authenticate into asp.net app from a winforms app

    Hi there! We have 2 applications - 1 windows and 1 web (asp.net). Winforms runs on the customer's machine where as the website is hosted within our company. The winforms has a link which opens the web app in a browser window. The web app is secured so the login page is shown. The username and password is the same as the windows app login. How do I auto-login to the web app so the user will not see the login screen? The web app uses FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie to create an encrypted cookie on the user's machine. How do I create the same from the winforms app so the user will not see the login screen? Thanks.

  • ActiveDirectoryMembershipProvider and ADAM (or AD LDS) and SetPassword

    By the subject line it seems to be a rather broad subject and I need some help here. Basically what I want is to use ActiveDirectoryMembershipProvider with an ADAM instance to authenticate users in an ASP.NET web application. My development environment is a windows 7 machine with an AD LDS instance on it whilst the QA server is a Windows 2003 server with an ADAM instance on it. I have all the required users on both instances plus one with adminsitrator role (CN=Admin,CN=xxx,DC=xxx,C=xx) which I want to use as the connection user. Using connectonProtecton="None" connectionUsername="CN=Admin,CN=xxx,DC=xxx,C=xx" connectionPassword="xxx" I am able to authenticate on both environments (dev & qa). If I change to the connectionProtection to "Secure" I am not able to authenticate anymore; the error I get is "Parser Error Message: Unable to establish secure connection with the server" To me it sounds wrong to use connectionProtection="None" although I found on the net a lot of samples using this setting. Can I use connectionProtection="Secure" to connect to an ADAM instance using an account defined on that instance having Administrator role? What other choices do I have (like using an domain account)? What if my machine where I am to deploy the application is not a part of the domain, will this affect in any way the behavior? I am novice in the respect so I would really appreciate some clear answers or some directions as where to look? Now beside the "signing in" feature of the ActiveDirectoryMembershipProvider I also want to add an extra one, which is setting the password without knowing the old one (something that will be used by a "reset password" feature). So I added a couple of extension methods to the provider, and used System.DirectoryServices classes like DirectoryEntry and the like. When creating a directory entry I use the same credentials provided in web.config for the provider minus the AuthenticationType as I don't know what is right combination of the flags that corresponds to None/Secure. I am able to use Invoke "SetPassword" with ADS_OPTION_PASSWORD_METHOD option as ADS_PASSWORD_ENCODE_CLEAR on my dev machine (w/ AD LDS instance); nevertheless on qa environment (w/ ADAM instance) I am getting an error like "Exception Details: System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryServicesCOMException: An operations error occurred.   • Can't get gitosis and ssh to play nice on cygwin

    I have followed this guide to setting up gitosis on a windows 2003 server via cygwin. I have now got to a point where it largely works. I can clone, pull and push. The problem I am having is that I think I have not got the ssh bit right at all. When I connect via msysgit from machines and accounts where I have not created or uploaded ssh keys it works. Every time I clone, pull or push I get a password challenge for the 'git' user running on the server but basically I can execute git commands. When I connect with users with an ssh key in the ~/.ssh folder, I don't get the password challange and instead I get a permissions failure: DEBUG:gitosis.serve.main:Got command "git-upload-pack '/cris.git'" DEBUG:gitosis.access.haveAccess:Access check for 'teamcity@hhit24808' as 'writable' on 'cris.git'... Update 1: When I try to clone a non-existant repo, I get the same error message, co-incidence? Update 2: Wierd, I've got one machine and one login working. It seems to be something to do with the syntax for addressing git over ssh. This now works on one machine for one login: git clone git@servername:cris.git The same command fails for a user on another machine without an uploaded ssh key. But this command works (after being challanged for git@servername's password) git clone git@servername:/home/git/repositories/cris.git neither command works on a 2nd login whose ssh key has been uploaded

Accepting Multiple Files By default, the AjaxFileUpload control enables you to upload multiple files at a time. When you open the file dialog, use the CTRL or SHIFT key to select multiple files. Otherwise, you can encounter weird formatting issues. Accepting Image Uploads We also enhanced the HtmlEditorExtender to support image uploads (another very highly requested feature at CodePlex). The following video illustrates the experience of adding an image to the editor: Once again, for backwards compatibility reasons, support for image uploads is disabled by default. The path of the saved image is returned to the client by setting the AjaxFileUploadEventArgs PostedUrl property. Not surprisingly, under the covers, the HtmlEditorExtender uses the AjaxFileUpload.   • How to build 64-bit Python on OS X 10.6 -- ONLY 64 bit, no Universal nonsense

    I just want to build this on my development machine -- the binary install from Python.org is still 32 bits and installing extensions (MySQLdb, for example) is driving me nuts with trying to figure out the proper flags for each and every extension. Clarification: I did NOT replace the system Python, I just installed the Python.org binary into its normal place at /Library/..., not /System/Library/.... Everything else seems to build 64 bit by default, and the default Python 2.6.1 was 64 bit (before I replaced it with the Python.org build figuring it was a direct replacement)` I just want a 64 bit only build that will run on my one machine without any cruft.   • ERROR: Could not contact the SSO server

    Hi, I'm getting the following error on my dev machine when attempting to manage SSO settings: ERROR: 0xC0002A0F : Could not contact the SSO server 'SSODB'. Check that SSO is configured and that the SSO service is running on that server. The Enterprise Single Sign-On Service, RPC service, and COM+ System Application service were all started when I checked, but I gave them a restart anyway and it didn't fix the problem. I can access the SSODB through SSMS. I unconfigured SSO through BizTalk and reconfigured it (successfully). Alas, this also did not help. SSO was previously working fine. I did notice this morning upon reboot that my browser home page was reset back to our corporate site (meaning something may have been pushed to machine this morning when I signed on) but no one else on my team is experiencing the same issues. I'm not sure what to try next. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

  • ODBC Connection String Problem

    Hi there, I am having major trouble connecting to my database via ODBC. The db is local (but I have a mirror on a virtual machine), so I am trying to use the connectionstring: Dsn=MonetDB;host=TARBELL where TARBELL is the name of my computer. However, it doesn't connect. BUT, this string does: Dsn=MonetDB;host=localhost as does Dsn=MonetDB Can anyone explain this? I am at a complete loss. I have taken down my firewalls (at least until I get this figured out), so that can't be the problem. I eventually want to change the TARBELL to the mirrored virtual machine running another instance of the database. Many thanks, Brett

  • Translating with Google Translate without API and C# Code

    Some time back I created a data base driven ASP.NET Resource Provider along with some tools that make it easy to edit ASP.NET resources interactively in a Web application. One of the small helper features of the interactive resource admin tool is the ability to do simple translations using both Google Translate and Babelfish. Here's what this looks like in the resource administration form: When a resource is displayed, the user can click a Translate button and it will show the current resource text and then lets you set the source and target languages to translate. The Go button fires the translation for both Google and Babelfish and displays them - pressing use then changes the language of the resource to the target language and sets the resource value to the newly translated value. It's a nice and quick way to get a quick translation going. Ch… Ch… Changes Originally, both implementations basically did some screen scraping of the interactive Web sites and retrieved translated text out of result HTML. Screen scraping is always kind of an iffy proposition as content can be changed easily, but surprisingly that code worked for many years without fail. Recently however, Google at least changed their input pages to use AJAX callbacks and the page updates no longer worked the same way. End result: The Google translate code was broken. Now, Google does have an official API that you can access, but the API is being deprecated and you actually need to have an API key. Since I have public samples that people can download the API key is an issue if I want people to have the samples work out of the box - the only way I could even do this is by sharing my API key (not allowed).   However, after a bit of spelunking and playing around with the public site however I found that Google's interactive translate page actually makes callbacks using plain public access without an API key. By intercepting some of those AJAX calls and calling them directly from code I was able to get translation back up and working with minimal fuss, by parsing out the JSON these AJAX calls return. I don't think this particular Warning: This is hacky code, but after a fair bit of testing I found this to work very well with all sorts of languages and accented and escaped text etc. as long as you stick to small blocks of translated text. I thought I'd share it in case anybody else had been relying on a screen scraping mechanism like I did and needed a non-API based replacement. It basically uses the URL I snagged from the Google Translate Web Page slightly changed to return a JSON result (&client=j) instead of the funky nested PHP style JSON array that the default returns. The JSON result returned looks like this: {"sentences":[{"trans":"Das Leben ist großartig und man wird verwöhnt, wenn es weiter und weiter und weiter geht","orig":"Life is great and one is spoiled when it goes on and on and on","translit":"","src_translit":""}],"src":"en","server_time":24} I use WebClient to make an HTTP GET call to retrieve the JSON data and strip out part of the full JSON response that contains the actual translated text. Since this is a JSON response I need to deserialize the JSON string in case it's encoded (for upper/lower ASCII chars or quotes etc.). Couple of odd things to note in this code: First note that a valid user agent string must be passed (or at least one starting with a common browser identification - I use Mozilla/5.0). Without this Google doesn't encode the result with UTF-8, but instead uses a ISO encoding that .NET can't easily decode. Google seems to ignore the character set header and use the user agent instead which is - odd to say the least. The other is that the code returns a full JSON response. Rather than use the full response and decode it into a custom type that matches Google's result object, I just strip out the translated text. Yeah I know that's hacky but avoids an extra type and firing up the JavaScript deserializer. My internal version uses a small DecodeJsString() method to decode Javascript without the overhead of a full JSON parser. It's obviously not rocket science but as mentioned above what's nice about it is that it works without an Google API key. I can't vouch on how many translates you can do before there are cut offs but in my limited testing running a few stress tests on a Web server under load I didn't run into any problems. Limitations There are some restrictions with this: It only works on single words or single sentences - multiple sentences (delimited by .) are cut off at the ".". There is also a length limitation which appears to happen at around 220 characters or so. While that may not sound  like much for typical word or phrase translations this this is plenty of length. Use with a grain of salt - Google seems to be trying to limit their exposure to usage of the Translate APIs so this code might break in the future, but for now at least it works. FWIW, I also found that Google's translation is not as good as Babelfish, especially for contextual content like sentences. Google is faster, but Babelfish tends to give better translations. This is why in my translation tool I show both Google and Babelfish values retrieved. You can check out the code for this in the West Wind West Wind Web Toolkit's TranslationService.cs file which contains both the Google and Babelfish translation code pieces. Ironically the Babelfish code has been working forever using screen scraping and continues to work just fine today. I think it's a good idea to have multiple translation providers in case one is down or changes its format, hence the dual display in my translation form above.   • Installing .NET 3.5 SP1 on server broke WCF

    I installed .NET 3.5 SP1 on server which previously had .NET 3.0 SP2. Before install site was working perfectly. After install and subsequeny server restart, site displays but anything that makes use of the WCF service has stopped working. The exception log reports exceptions like the following when any calls are made to the client proxy: The communication object, System.ServiceModel.Channels.ServiceChannel, cannot be used for communication because it is in the Faulted state. The server's application event log gave the following errors after the install: Configuration section system.serviceModel.activation already exists in c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Config\machine.config. Configuration section system.runtime.serialization already exists in c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Config\machine.config. Configuration section system.serviceModel already exists in c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Config\machine.config. which seems to be inline with the fact that anything WCF related has stopped working. I am not experienced in server configurations or WCF so looking for any assistance with this. Thanks!!     I have recently moved my solution from my main dev machine using vs2010 pro sp1 to a new machine. The setup is supposed to be the same except its failing to build. Its giving errors like c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Microsoft.Common.targets(1360,9): warning MSB3258: The primary reference "C:\rep\hms\trunk\ikassystemv3\ikasDAL\bin\Debug\ikasDAL.dll" could not be resolved because it has an indirect dependency on the .NET Framework assembly "mscorlib, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089" which has a higher version "4.0.0.0" than the version "2.0.0.0" in the current target framework. However all all the libraries in question are set to use the .net 2 framework and I need it this way or else it will break stuff that uses them. However for some reason it seems to think that somehow my .net 2 system libs are somehow referencing .net 4 stuff.   • Mobile Device emulator cannot access localhost

    I am using Windows Mobile 6 Professional Emulator and Windows Mobile Device Center. I connected and cradled the emulator to my computer. I am trying to connect from the browser of the emulator to a webservice that is deployed in the IIS of my computer (same machine where the emulator is installed). If I connect my computer to the internet, I can access any website, including my local WS (using the IP returned by ipConfig). The problem is when I disconnect the computer from the Internet: I cannot access my local web service using the IP (internal one returned by ipconfig), or machine name. Do you have any ideea what settings am I missing? I am sure this it's possible somehow, I just don't know how... PS: The goal is to access the WS from a mobile application, but until I cannot access it from the browser, I cannot access it from the application either. Thank you!

  • RPC Runtime exception

    Hi I am having an application which requires inter process communication between different processes in different machines. Assume i have 2 processes in different machines which communicate usnig RPC. Everything works fine in the normal case. Now if i remove network and reconnect the same my processes still work however what happens is sometimes an RPC call(which sends a message from one process on one machine to another process on another machine) fails with an error code value of 3765269347, which may not really make any sense. This failure occurs only sometimes and i have no clue as to why this occurs. Anybody knows any reason why this may occur or general network related RPC issues. Thanks in advance.

  • Strange error occurring when using wcf to run query against sql server

    Hi all, I am building an asp.net application, using II6 on windows server 2003 (vps hosting). I am confronted with an error I didn't receive on my development machine (windows 7, iis 7.5, 64 bit). When my wcf service tries launching my query running against a local sql server this is the error I receive: Memory gates checking failed because the free memory (43732992 bytes) is less than 5% of total memory. As a result, the service will not be available for incoming requests. To resolve this, either reduce the load on the machine or adjust the value of minFreeMemoryPercentageToActivateService on the serviceHostingEnvironment config element. and ideas??
