  • How do I create drop lines while dragging a menu item on a WinForm?

    I want to mimic the functionality of Google Chrome/FireFox for example, when rearranging your bookmarks, when you are dragging the menu item, it creates a black line at the proposed drop point, like this: I've already implemented the Drag/Drop functionality to rearrange the menu, but I would like to add these separator lines as an additional feature. Is there a way to do this within the .NET Framework (3.5) or shall I have to resort to Win32 api calls? Just wanted to ask before I went down that path.

  • Changing the working directory for a process remotely

    I've got an application that has a bug right now, but we're unable to update the end-user to get the fix out. What a possible workaround would be is to change the working directory to the application's install directory, but from what I can tell, there's no way to do that outside of the program itself. Is there some sort of Windows API call that can change other processes' working directories, or is that not available due to security issues? I figure it's not possible.

  • The iPhone “phone” doesn’t have the provisioning profile with which the application was signed.

    i have tried everything to fix this provision problem and nothing is working. ive reformated my mac, reinstalled the iphone, ive also dragged the provisions (developer and distribution) onto the organizer, itunes, and xcode. in itunes people say to drag the provisions to the iphone icon but that doesnt work its only able to go under library it shows a blue rectangle for me to drop it there. i just have a newly created dummy app with a 57x57 icon. ive also setup the project with the distribution thing with its distribution provision. when i build i get this: The iPhone “myphone” doesn’t have the provisioning profile with which the application was signed. Click “Install and Run” to install the provisioning profile “distribution” on “myphone” and continue running “helloworld.app”. and it has a button "install and run" ive clicked on that hundreths of times and nothing. in orgranizer i see a tab called console ive cleared it and rebuild the app and there is some output that i dont understand. I'm thinking its my problem whats it mean?   • Problem requesting a HTTPS with TCL

    Hi Everybody, I'm trying to do the following request using TCL (OpenACS) http::register https 443 tls::socket set url "https://encrypted.google.com" set token [http::geturl $url -timeout 30000] set status [http::status $token] set answer [http::data $token] http::cleanup $token http::unregister https The problem is that when I read the $status variable I get "eof" and the $answer variable becomes empty. I tried enabling tls V.1 http::register https 443 [list tls::socket -tls1 1] and it works only for the site https://www.galileo.edu, but not for https://encrypted.google.com. The site what I'm trying to connect is https://graph.facebook.com/me/feed?access_token=... but it doesn't work. I used curl to retrieve the contents of the pages in HTTPS and it works, I have installed OpenSSL, so I can't see the problem, there is another way to do HTTPS connections with TCL?. I can't see if this is a problem of coding (maybe I'm registered wrong the https protocol) or maybe It is a bad configuration of my server. Hope somebody helps!! Thanks!

    The library in question is Tokyo Cabinet. I want is to have the native library, JNI library, and all Java API classes in one JAR file to avoid redistribution headaches. There seems to be an attempt at this at GitHub, but It does not include the actual native library, only JNI library. It doesn't work (for me): when I use this JAR, the JVM does not even seem to find the JNI library which is packaged inside the JAR: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no jtokyocabinet in java.library.path (tokyo_cabinet.clj:19)

  • how to disable isight auto adjustments ?

    The built-in isight cam on my macbook machine keeps re-adjusting the lighting (and focus I think). I need to manually set those, but I found nothing of any use in System Preferences or System Profiler. Any way to access the settings ? Any magic terminal commands that allows access to the camera ? Anyone has a driver that allows for any camera access ? 'mac - it just works'...sure, if you want to use it like a kid. the second you actually want to do something with you mac other than the basic things, you can do on ANY regular machine anyway, your 'rights' are done with, as apple seems to only encourage dumb clients. I'm not saying saying this applies to all mac users, but the 'typical/average' one in my view is only going to use it for media(music,video) and web(facebook,blogging, all that) and maybe podcasting,webcasting,etc....ok this is turning into a rant, so I will finish here.

    I've got the following simple script that plots a graph: import matplotlib.pyplot as plt import numpy as np T = np.array([6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12]) power = np.array([1.53E+03, 5.92E+02, 2.04E+02, 7.24E+01, 2.72E+01, 1.10E+01, 4.70E+00]) plt.plot(T,power) plt.show() As it is now, the line goes straight from point to point which looks ok, but could be better in my opinion. What I want is to smooth the line between the points. In Gnuplot I would have plotted with smooth cplines. Is there an easy way to do this in PyPlot? I've found some tutorials, but they all seem rather complex.

  • Is there a Java library with 3D spline functions?

    In particular, I need a way to represent a curve/spline that passes through a set of known 3D points, and a way of finding other points on the curve/spline, by subdivision/interpolation. For example, if I have a set of points P0 to PN, I want to find 100 points between P0 and P1 that are on a spline that passes through P0 and P1. I see that Java3D's KBRotPosScaleSplinePathInterpolator performs such a calculation, but it is tied to that API's scenegraph model and I do not see how to return the values I need.

Specifically, I added the following alias: lg = log --graph --pretty=format:'%Cred%h%Creset - %C(yellow)%an%Creset - %s %Cgreen(%cr)%Creset' --abbrev-commit --date=relative So, when I run git lg, I see the following: * 41a49ad - zain - commit 1 message here (3 hours ago) * 6087812 - zain - commit 2 message here (5 hours ago) * 74842dd - zain - commit 3 message here (6 hours ago) However, I want to add the SVN revision number in there too, so it looks something like: * 41a49ad - r1593 - zain - commit 1 message here (3 hours ago) The normal git log shows you the SVN revision number, so I'm sure this must be possible. How do I do this?

  • Graphing a line and scatter points using Matplotlib?

    Hi guys I'm using matplotlib at the moment to try and visualise some data I am working on. I'm trying to plot around 6500 points and the line y = x on the same graph but am having some trouble in doing so. I can only seem to get the points to render and not the line itself. I know matplotlib doesn't plot equations as such rather just a set of points so I'm trying to use and identical set of points for x and y co-ordinates to produce the line.   • Apache server as reverse proxy is removing xmlns info from html tag

However, the proxy is removing all xmlns data from the html tag, which breaks all the Facebook's FBML which is never parsed.   • Google Chrome never renders fonts properly / no smoothing etc

    A while ago I started using Chrome and no longer Firefox, however I found out something weird which maybe force me to return to Firefox if I can not fix this. I am coding a homepage and the output was in Chrome ugly, in Firefox not. I thought "ok this is maybe due to bad code"... however I found out that the same problems occurs on different sites like Facebook too. The font is not smoothed and it is not nice to read. Here is an example, although I have censored nearly everything... Bad Chrome Rendering Good Firefox Rendering You may need to open up in a new tab to see the errors in detail. Now I want to know, whether this is just Chrome trolling me or maybe something else. EDIT I tried it out under Ubuntu on my PC and it works well... seems to be an error on Windows/Chrome on Windows.
