    Zend_Controller_Plugin_ErrorHandler always forwards to ErrorController::errorAction() in the default module but i want it be module aware. For example when a exception throws it must be call the module's ErrorController like Admin_ErrorController:errorAction. How can i do this? Thanks.

    Hello, I'm using the setFlash and hasFlash methods of symfony 1.4 with WAMP 2.0 Locally with my frontend_dev app, all work fine. But in production environment, my test $this->forward404Unless($user->hasFlash('resultsArray')); fails. I thought that the flash methods where enabled by default.     I got 2 folder, one is "Lectures" where only lecture can login, and another is "Students" where only students can login. and i use role-based authorization. but the problem is i only can assign one value for defaultUrl in web.config, if i assign it to "~/Lectures/Default.aspx" and this make lecture can login without any problem, but when student login, the student will stuck at login page, so any idea to change defaultUrl in web.config through C#???

What kind of housekeeping, if any, takes place on either the browser or the ASP.NET back end? In other words, where do abandoned AJAX PageMethod calls go to die...and what is their funeral like?

  • Python UTF-8 can't decode byte on 32-bit machine

    it works fine on 64 bit machines but for some reason will not work on python 2.4.3 on a 32-bit instance. i get the error 'utf8' codec can't decode bytes in position 76-79: invalid data for the code try: str(sourceresult.sourcename).encode('utf8','replace') except: raise Exception( repr(sourceresult.sourcename ) ) it returns 'kazamidori blog\xf9' i have modified my site.py file to make UTF8 the default encoding, but still doesnt seem to be working.

    I know of an Eclipse feature to show revision information (gradual coloring, more info like revisionnumber, date and author on mouseover) for the last changes in a line in the linenumbers-view. Does anyone know how to activate this feature for a file, or even better, by default? I accidently hit some shortcut lately which made it show in one file, it does not show up in the others, though.

    I have a range of modules running on generator.yml. In some of those I would like to hide records by default of Status: CLOSED (being the last of a range of Statuses). OF course if the user filters for CLOSED i want to show these records. I thought it would make sense to apply andWhere('status_id=?',Status::CLOSED) in a specific table_method , but how do I access the filters of the module from within the model? Is there a better way to do this?

    Hi, I'd like to know how people decide whether to define a method as static. I'm aware that a method can only be defined as static if it doesn't require access to instance fields. So lets say we have a method that does not access instance fields, do you always define such a method as static, or only if you need to call it statically (without a reference to an instance).     Find the errors from following C function : char* f(int i) { int i; char buffer[20]; switch ( i ) { 1: strcpy( buffer, "string1"); 2: strcpy( buffer, "string2"); 3: strcpy( buffer, "string3"); default: strcpy(buffer, "defaultstring"); } return buffer; } this is c funtion not C++, I think it has to do with type conversion my compiler give warning that declaration of int i shadows a parameter.
