    Hi, I'm looking for a tool that allows me to analyze the compilation of a VS Solution (about 30 VS projects inside). I would like to know after the global solution compilation, which projets fail and forward errors to developers.   • Multi-Threading in .NET

    Hi all.. I wrote this program, that is supposed to read about 5000 email address and send an pre-defined html mail. I am using the background worker component. The problem is this: I have wired up the method who is supposed to send the mail. But I am calling another method that is supposed to append the body html to the salutation, like public string GiveMeFullHtml(string personname) ... "Dear Mr. John Doe" + HTML ... It seems that when it hits this method call, operation completes. IUt only sends the first mail and completes. I think because the HTML string method is on another thread or sth like that. Can you give me a little insight. Do I have to get everything done in the very same method when using multi-threading? Thanks in advance

  • .NET DataGridView rows' default alignment all set to left

    DataGridView gets bound to DataTable. I then try to set some columns' DefaultCellStyle.Alignment to right. It doesn't work. After a bunch of tinkering, it turns out that every single row's DefaultCellStyle.Alignment is set to left and overrides it. DataGridView.DefaultCellStyle or RowsDefaultCellStyle doesn't do anything. Makes sense since a particular row's DefaultCellStyle is more specific but what gives. Why are they all set to something and not NotSet? How do I get rid of it instead of iterating through all rows?

I want a way where when i load a1.aspx, certain chosen 's and images should be hidden (visible=false). how can i do this? how can i change the visibility of a div or an image in the master page from the calling page?

  • abandon session in asp.net on browser close..kill session cookie

    So I have a website where I use session start and end events to track and limit open instances of our web application, even on the same computer. On page unload i call a session enabled page method which then called session.abandon. This triggers session end event and clears the session variable but unfortunately does not kill the session cookie!! as a result if other browser instances are open there are problems because their session state just disappeared...and much worse than this when I open the site again with the zombie session still not expired, I get multiple session start and session end events on any subsequent postbacks. This happens on all browsers. so how do I truly kill the session (force the cookie to expire)

    I have an application I wrote which has been running well for 4 years. Yesterday they moved all their servers around and installed about 60 pending Windows updates, and now it is broken. The application makes use of remoting to update some information on another server (10.0.5.230), but when I try to create my remote object, I get the following exception: Note that it is trying to connect to 127.0.0.1, not the proper server. The server (10.0.5.230) is listening on port 9091 as it should. This same error is happening on all three terminal servers where this application is installed.     Hi I am having a problem debugging an issue on a website. Everything works locally, the local and server databases are the same The strange thing about the error is that it points to my local dev machine in the error stack.   • Excel Autofilter in VB.NET

    In my application I'm exporting an Excel file by getting the layout of a HTML page. So, in my codebehind, I'm modifying the HTML layout and inserting itens on it like if it was a webpage. Doing it that way, I don't need to use any external library and, as the data I'm exporting is just a table, I don't need nothing complex to handle it. My question is: there is a way to create an AutoFilter by just modifying the HTML tags? I mean, like if a put a < bColumn Name in the HTML, when exporting to Excel it will become Bold, it is possible to do the same thing with the AutoFilter?

I have this kind of links in the Site.Master <script src="/Scripts/jquery-1.4.2.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="/Scripts/jquery.validate.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="/Scripts/jquery-ui.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="/Scripts/Common.js" type="text/javascript"></script> Common.js is my own helper file. jQuery works fine there, but when I try to call for example: $(document).ready(function() { $("#dialog").dialog(); }); I'll get "Microsoft JScript runtime error: Object doesn't support this property or method" Any ideas why this happens? jQuery Works fine, but jQuery UI doesn't.

But the limitation for the code is that the class should be serializable i.e. should be marked as [Serializable] and if the class is not marked Serializable then the debugger crashes.     Hello, I'm trying to get every windows message that tells that the user has touched the screen. It works everywhere, except the button, when it is disabled. It seems that the application doesn't get any message when clicked on disabled control. I'm using OpenNetCF Application2 class for filtering messages: Application2.AddMessageFilter(Device.PowerManager); Application2.Run(new MainForm()); PowerManager class contains a following method (as required by IMessageFilter interface): public bool PreFilterMessage(ref Microsoft.WindowsCE.Forms.Message m) { log.DebugFormat("windows message {0} - 0x{0:X}", m.Msg); if (m.Msg == 0x0201 || m.Msg == 0x8001 || m.Msg == 0x0005) { return this.ResetPowerManager(); } return false; } in the log file there is no indication of a windows message when clicking on disabled button.     I have a datagrid where a row can be deleted (using ajax). I'm have problem with the pager in the following scenario: Lets say my PageSize is 10, I have 101 rows so that's 11 pages with the last page with an single element. Let no assume that I'm on page 10 (PageIndex=9) and delete a row. Then I go to the 11'th page (who's now empty and doesn't really exist). ASP now shows me the EmptyDataTemplate and no pager so I can't go back.     I have an HttpHandler class (implements IHttphandler) where the path defined for the handler in web.config is *.jpg. I am requesting a Jpg image in my page. Within the HTTP Handler I am writing to a file in the filesystem. By mistake I was trying to write to a non existant directory. This should have thrown an exception but the execution simply proceeds.Ofcourse no file is written. But if I give a proper directory the file is written correctly.Is there anything special about HttpHandler Exceptions. See part of the code public void ProcessRequest(HttpContext context){ File.WriteAllLines(context.Request.ApplicationPath+@"\"+"resul.log",new string[]{"Entered JPG Handler"}); If I put a breakpoint on the File.WriteAllLines statement and then step over it I can see an exception occurring.

Why doesn't this work?
