  Hi guys, I've followed http://static.springsource.org/spring/docs/3.0.2.RELEASE/spring-framework-reference/html/mvc.html#mvc-etag and put ShallowEtagHeaderFilter in my web.xml like this: <filter> <filter-name>etagFilter</filter-name> <filter-class>org.springframework.web.filter.ShallowEtagHeaderFilter</filter-class> </filter> <filter-mapping> <filter-name>etagFilter</filter-name> <servlet-name>myServlet</servlet-name> <!-- I've even tried <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> --> </filter-mapping> But whenever I load my pages, I don't get any etag headers in my response. • Is there a way to automatically make a makefile from a template toolkit template?

  My static web pages are built from a huge bunch of templates which are inter-included using Template Toolkit's "import" and "include", so page.html looks like this: [% INCLUDE top %] [% IMPORT middle %] Then top might have even more files included. I have very many of these files, and they have to be run through to create the web pages in various languages (English, French, etc., not computer languages). This is a very complicated process and when one file is updated I would like to be able to automatically remake only the necessary files, using a makefile or something similar. Are there any tools which can parse template toolkit templates and create a dependency list for use in a makefile? Or are there better ways to automate this process?

  I am trying to add files to an existing zip file. Whenever i do, the new one contains the new list of files im passing in, but all of the previous ones are wiped out. • How do I make a google larger by scale

  I've just started using google charts and want to use it in a small project I'm workin on but I've bumped into a problem. The thing is I want the charts rather big at a static size and look good but I'm generating the charts dynamically with php. Now the problem is that I can't get it to scale properly in width but height is perfectly fine. Here's an example chart I've generated: Parameters: cht=bvo&chs=400x400 chd=t:1,4,1 chxr=2,0,4,1 chds=0,4 chco=4d89f9 chxt=x,x,y,y chxl=0:|3|7|26|1:|Correct+answers|3:|People You see how the chart fills the 400px of height but not the width. I've searched and look through the api but I can't get it right.

• Microsoft Flight Simulator SDK Capabilities

  Hello, I have not been able to find detailed documentation about the Microsoft Flight Simulator SDK, so I have a couple of questions regarding its capabilities. I am currently running FS2004(could buy FSX if needed) and would like to know if I could add moving or static boats through the SDK. Ideally, the boat's position would be controlled by an external program at runtime. Secondly, can i access the flight management system through the SDK? I would like to upload a custom flight path through an external program while the plane is flying. So why the plane would follow the original flight path I would like to be able to change it on the go. Thanks

  I'm trying to process a list of files that may or may not be up to date and may or may not yet exist. In doing so, I need to resolve the full path of an item, even though the item may be specified with relative paths. However, Resolve-Path prints and error when used with a non-existant file. For example, What's the simplest, cleanest way to resolve ".\newdir\newfile.txt" to "C:\Current\Working\Directory\newdir\newfile.txt" in Powershell? Note that System.IO.Path's static method use with the process's working directory - which isn't the powershell current location.

  Hi All, I am using Junit 4. My whole program is working fine. I am trying to write a test case. It wasn't this before with JUnit 3.X am I doing wrong or they changed it :( Sorry if I am not clear Is there any way to executre test without super? or calling functions etc. ?

• Change background color of disabled listbox in windows classic theme

  I am developing a WPF application that must run using Windows Classic theme. The application creates a dialog box containing a ListBox. When the dialog box is shown, it must be disabled for 1s before accepting any input. I am accomplishing this with a style trigger, and it works. However, the ListBox shows a white background when it's disabled, which I can't seem to get rid of. When using the aero theme, the following style resource fixes the issue: <SolidColorBrush x:Key="{x:Static SystemColors.ControlBrushKey}" Color="Transparent"/> But when using Windows Classic theme, the white background reappears. How can i remedy the situation for Classic theme???

What I'm stuck with is where and what to place in my code to have the console read out "Enter palindrome..." and then text. I've tried with IO but it doesnt work out right. Also, how do I create a loop to keep going? • Crossdomain TinyMCE

  Hi, folling this discussion and this link, I learnt that by adding document.domain = 'mydomain.com'; to the tinyMCE initializer file and tiny_mce_popup.js i can overcome the cross domain problem. I haven't tested it on a proper production server, but in my dev environment the base domain is localhost:8000 and my static files (also tinyMCE ones) are on localhost:88. Adding document.domain = 'localhost:8000'; or document.domain = 'localhost:88'; doesn't solve the problem as I get the following error: Uncaught Error: SECURITY_ERR: DOM Exception 18 Any help? • Android app crashes on emulator - logCat shows no errors

  I have just added the SherlockActionBar library to my android project. After some small changes (FragmentActivity - SherlockFragmentActivity, getActionBar() - getSupportActionBar(), imports) it all compiled nicely. • Parsing "true" and "false" using Boost.Spirit.Lex and Boost.Spirit.Qi

  As the first stage of a larger grammar using Boost.Spirit I'm trying to parse "true" and "false" to produce the corresponding bool values, true and false. I'm using Spirit.Lex to tokenize the input and have a working implementation for integer and floating point literals (including those expressed in a relaxed scientific notation), exposing int and float attributes. • WPF: Timers

  I believe, once your WPF application will need to execute something periodically, and today I would like to discuss how to do that. There are two possible solutions. You can use classical System.Threading.Timer class or System.Windows.Threading.DispatcherTimer class, which is the part of WPF. I have created an application to show you how to use the API.     Let’s take a look how you can implement timer using System.Threading.Timer class. First of all, it has to be initialized.   1: private Timer timer; 2:   3: public MainWindow() 4: { 5: // Form initialization code 6: 7: timer = new Timer(OnTimer, null, Timeout.InfiniteTimeSpan, Timeout.InfiniteTimeSpan); 8: }   Timer’s constructor accepts four parameters. The first one is the callback method which is executed when timer ticks. I will show it to you soon. The second parameter is a state which is passed to the callback. It is null because there is nothing to pass this time. The third parameter is the amount of time to delay before the callback parameter invokes its methods. I use System.Threading.Timeout helper class to represent infinite timeout which simply means the timer is not going to start at the moment. And the final fourth parameter represents the time interval between invocations of the methods referenced by callback. Infinite timeout timespan means the callback method will be executed just once. Well, the timer has been created. Let’s take a look how you can start the timer.   1: private void StartTimer(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) 2: { 3: timer.Change(TimeSpan.Zero, new TimeSpan(0, 0, 1)); 4:   5: // Disable the start buttons and enable the reset button. 6: }   The timer is started by calling its Change method. It accepts two arguments: the amount of time to delay before the invoking the callback method and the time interval between invocations of the callback. TimeSpan.Zero means we start the timer immediately and TimeSpan(0, 0, 1) tells the timer to tick every second. There is one method hasn’t been shown yet. This is the callback method OnTimer which does a simple task: it shows current time in the center of the screen. Unfortunately you cannot simple write something like this:   1: clock.Content = DateTime.Now.ToString("hh:mm:ss");   The reason is Timer runs callback method on a separate thread, and it is not possible to access GUI controls from a non-GUI thread. You can avoid the problem using System.Windows.Threading.Dispatcher class.   1: private void OnTimer(object state) 2: { 3: Dispatcher.Invoke(() => ShowTime()); 4: } 5:   6: private void ShowTime() 7: { 8: clock.Content = DateTime.Now.ToString("hh:mm:ss"); 9: }   You can build similar application using System.Windows.Threading.DispatcherTimer class. The class represents a timer which is integrated into the Dispatcher queue. It means that your callback method is executed on GUI thread and you can write a code which updates your GUI components directly.   1: private DispatcherTimer dispatcherTimer; 2:   3: public MainWindow() 4: { 5: // Form initialization code 6:   7: dispatcherTimer = new DispatcherTimer { Interval = new TimeSpan(0, 0, 1) }; 8: dispatcherTimer.Tick += OnDispatcherTimer; 9: } Dispatcher timer has nicer and cleaner API. All you need is to specify tick interval and Tick event handler. Let’s take a look how to stop the timers. It is easy with the Dispatcher Timer.   1: dispatcherTimer.Stop(); And slightly more complicated with the Timer. The Dispatcher Timer has simple interface, but its advantages are disadvantages at the same time. You should not use it if your Tick event handler executes time-consuming operations. • Why / When / How is this Android serviceBinder resetting to null?

  I've written a ListActivity for Android 2.1 which is used to display a list of event categories. As the user selects a category, the program calls a web service to retrieve a list of sub-events. For example, a top level event might be "soccer" and when the user selects this the web service would return various soccer associations (e.g. "english", "french", "german", etc.) and display them in a new list. The following code seems to work occasionally, however sometimes the call to the service (in EventsListTask) fails because the serviceBinder is null. Is there anything I need to watch out for when doing this? Am I calling the target intent incorrectly?   Hi, I have a question about the 'Event Descriptor Thread'. I have a Main class that is also a JFrame. It initialises the rest of the components in the code, some of them do not involve Swing and some of them do. Is it enough to simply initialise the Main class using the EDT like this?... public static void main(String[] args) { javax.swing.SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() { public void run() { new Main(); } }); } This way everything would run on the Event Dispatcher thread.

  My UITable is returning EXEC_BAD_ACCESS, but why! See this code snippet! Loading the UITableView works fine, so allXYZArray != nil and is populated!   I am writing a custom control that is a ListView that has a CheckBox on each item in the ListView to indicate that item is Selected. So if my items have an ID property, I can specify using the SelectedValuesPath property "ID". The SelectedValues property would then return a collection of ID values. I've considered using the PropertyChangedCallBack event, but can't quite figure out how I could write that to achieve my goal. I'm also unsure of how I find the correct ListViewItem to set it as Selected. And lastly, if I can find the ListViewItem and set it to be Selected, won't that fire my SelectionChanged event each time I set a ListViewItem to be Selected?

• /analyze flag in Visual Studio 2010 Professional

  Running Visual Studio 2008 Professional it is possible to enable static code analysis using the /analyze flag (even though this is not supported for the Professional version according to the documentation). In Visual Studio 2010 Professional this no longer works. Instead there is a default /analyze- flag added (one I can't find a GUI setting for). This does not work as well as the VS2008 version (or at all). Can anyone shed some light into this? What does the new /analyze- flag do and is there any way to enable the old analysis?

  Using the .NET framework, I'm trying to replace double slash characters in a string with a single slash, but it seems to be removing an extra character and I don't know why. • Error When Creating CLF Function

  I've created an C# class that contains 2 static method and I successfully created an Assembly in SQL 2005. When I try to create a table-valued function from that Assembly I get the following error: Msg 6509, Level 16, State 36, Procedure , Line 2 An error occurred while gathering metadata from assembly '' with HRESULT 0x80004005. We have other CLR functions that are that are with in the same dll and seem to work fine. I tried to emulate what the other functions are doing, but I can't seem to get this function to work. All the documentation online doesn't seem to help
