• pygtk - dynamically update the widgets taking input from the gtk combo box

  On selecting value from 1 to 10 from gtk combox box it should populate the checkbox by taking combo box value as an input. Say for example if i select 5 then 5 checkbox will be generated. It works.. But the issue is after i selected 5 now im selecting next value as 3 from combo box then there 8 checkboxes are displayed. The old 5 checkbox didnt get replaced. Is there any way to refresh the vbox(which has the checkboxes) or update to a new value. Enviroment : FC10 , Glade 2 , Python 2.5 , GTK.

• Subsonic 3 fails to identify Stored Procedure Output Parameter

  Hi using Subsonic 3.0.0.3 it appears there is some issue with Subsonic identifying Stored Procedure paramters as output parameters. In the StoredProcedures.cs class I find my stored procedure definition but the last parameter is defined incorrectly as a 'AddParameter'. sp.Command.AddParameter("HasPermission",HasPermission,DbType.Boolean); When I sp.Execute() and attempt to read the value of the sp.Command.OutputValues[0] the value is null. If the definition is edited to be like this; sp.Command.AddOutputParameter("HasPermission", DbType.Boolean); Then the value is returned and is correct value type I am not sure how I 'fix' this - as everytime I regen the SP class via the 'Run Custom Tool' the parameter definitions require editing. Should I edit a T4 template somehow? Please advise. EDIT: I forgot to mention I am using MS SQL 2008 (10.0.2531)

• Why is Html.DropDownList() producing <select name="original_name.name"> instead of just <select name

  I have an editor template whose job is to take a SelectList as its model and build a select element in html using the Html.DropDownList() helper extension. I'm trying to assign the name attribute for the select based on a ModelMetadata property. (Reason: on post-back, I need to bind to an object that has a different property name for this item than the ViewModel used to populate the form.) The problem I'm running into is that DropDownList() is appending the name I'm providing instead of replacing it, so I end up with names like categories.category instead of category. Here is some code for you to look at...   I'll cut a really long story short and give an example of my problem. Given a class that has a pointer to a primitive type as a property: @interface ClassOne : NSObject { int* aNumber } @property int* aNumber; The class is instantiated, and aNumber is allocated and assigned a value, accordingly: ClassOne* bob = [[ClassOne alloc] init]; bob.aNumber = malloc(sizeof(int)); *bob.aNumber = 5; It is then passed, by reference, to assign the aNumber value of a seperate instance of this type of class, accordingly: ClassOne* fred = [[ClassOne alloc] init]; fred.aNumber = bob.aNumber; Fred's aNumber pointer is then freed, reallocated, and assigned a new value, for example 7. Now, the problem I'm having; Since Fred has been assigned the same pointer that Bob had, I would expect that Bob's aNumber will now have a value of 7. It doesn't, because for some reason it's pointer was freed, but not reassigned (it is still pointing to the same address it was first allocated which is now freed). Fred's pointer, however, has the allocated value 7 in a different memory location. Why is it behaving like this? What am I minsunderstanding? How can I make it work like C++ does?

  My device /dev/my_inc is meant to take a positive integer N represented as an ascii string, and store it. Any read from /dev/my_inc will produce the ascii string representation of N + 1.   I have been working on an iPhone app that has a feature of uploading photos to TwitPic. I have it working with basic authentication. I am trying to get it working with OAuth. I am getting authentication errors. I have studied very carefully the TwitPic documentation. I am authorising the app by displaying a UI Web View and the it returns a PIN value. I enter the PIN value in the app and request the token. I am able to upload status updates to Twitter but not photos. • SQLite3's dynamic typing

  SQLite3 uses dynamic typing rather than static typing, in contrast to other flavors of SQL. The SQLite website reads: Most SQL database engines (every SQL database engine other than SQLite, as far as we know) uses static, rigid typing. With static typing, the datatype of a value is determined by its container - the particular column in which the value is stored. SQLite uses a more general dynamic type system. In SQLite, the datatype of a value is associated with the value itself, not with its container. It seems to me that this is exactly what you don't want, as it lets you store, for example, strings in integer columns. I have two questions: The use case question: What are some examples where sqlite3's dynamic typing is, in fact, beneficial?   Hello everyone, I am looking for a map/reduce function to calculate the status in a Design Document. My current by_status view looks like the following: function(doc) { if (doc['status']) { emit(doc['status'], null); } } I tried some things but nothing actually works. Right now my Map Function looks like this: function(doc) { if(doc.urls){ emit(doc._id, doc.urls) } } And my Reduce Function function(key, value, rereduce){ var reduced_status = "retrieved" for(var url in value){ if(url.status=="new"){ reduced_status = "new"; } } return reduced_status; } The result is that I get retrieved everywhere which is definitely not right. I tried to narrow down the problem and it seems to be that value is no array, when I use the following Reduce Function I get length 1 everywhere, which is impossible because I have 12 documents in my database, each containing between 20 to 200 urls function(key, value, rereduce){ return value.length; } What am I doing wrong? (I know I want you to write code for me and I'm feeling guilty, but right now I do the calculation of the statuses in ruby after getting the data from the database. It would be nice to already get the right data from the database)

• Reflection - SetValue of array within class?

  OK, I've been working on something for a while now, using reflection to accomplish a lot of what I need to do, but I've hit a bit of a stumbling block... I'm trying to use reflection to populate the properties of an array of a child property... not sure that's clear, so it's probably best explained in code: Parent Class: Public Class parent Private _child As childObject() Public Property child As childObject() Get Return _child End Get Set(ByVal value As child()) _child = value End Set End Property End Class Child Class: Public Class childObject Private _name As String Public Property name As String Get Return _name End Get Set(ByVal value As String) _name = value End Set End Property Private _descr As String Public Property descr As String Get Return _descr End Get Set(ByVal value As String) _descr = value End Set End Property End Class So, using reflection, I'm trying to set the values of the array of child objects through the parent object... Anyone have any ideas? @Jon :- Thanks, I think I've gotten a little further, by creating individual child objects, and then assigning them to an array... The issue is now trying to get that array assigned to the parent object (using reflection). It shouldn't be difficult, but I think the problem comes because I don't necessarily know the parent/child types. I'm using reflection to determine which parent/child is being passed in. The parent always has only one property, which is an array of the child object. When I try assigning the child array to the parent object, I get a invalid cast exception saying it can't convert Object[] to . EDIT: Basically, what I have now is: Dim PropChildInfo As PropertyInfo() = ResponseObject.GetType().GetProperties() For Each PropItem As PropertyInfo In PropChildInfo PropItem.SetValue(ResponseObject, ResponseChildren, Nothing) Next ResponseObject is an instance of the parent Class, and ResponseChildren is an array of the childObject Class. This fails with: Object of type 'System.Object[]' cannot be converted to type 'childObject[]'.

  I'm writing a program which will allow to load a specific managed .DLL file and play with it. Since I want the ability to unload the .DLL file, I'm creating two AppDomains - one for the app itself, the other for the currently loaded .DLL. Since most of the objects in the loaded .DLL do not serialize well, I'm creating a MarshalByRefObject wrapper class which will keep the object itself in its own AppDomain, and expose some reflection functions to the main application AppDomain. However when I try to invoke a method on the remote object I get stuck with an exception: Permission denied: cannot call non-public or static methods remotely. As far as I can understand, the InvokeMethod method doesn't even get executed, the exception is thrown when I try to run it. Added: To clarify - SomeInstanceOfRemoteObjectWrapper is constructed in the .DLL's AppDomain and then returned to my main AppDomain, The InvokeMethod<T>() is called from my main AppDomain (and I expect it to execute in the .DLL's AppDomain).

I try to use next statement: map.getCurrentMapType().getProjection().fromPixelToLatLng(pointValueFromEvent, map.getZoom()); but it wasn't helpfull (GLatLng value is outside of my map).   Trying to understand an fft (Fast Fourier Transform) routine I'm using (stealing)(recycling) Input is an array of 512 data points which are a sample waveform. Test data is generated into this array. fft transforms this array into frequency domain. Trying to understand relationship between freq, period, sample rate and position in fft array. I'll illustrate with examples: ======================================== Sample rate is 1000 samples/s. Generate a set of samples at 10Hz. Input array has peak values at arr(28), arr(128), arr(228) ... period = 100 sample points peak value in fft array is at index 6 (excluding a huge value at 0) ======================================== Sample rate is 8000 samples/s Generate set of samples at 440Hz Input array peak values include arr(7), arr(25), arr(43), arr(61) ... period = 18 sample points peak value in fft array is at index 29 (excluding a huge value at 0) ======================================== How do I relate the index of the peak in the fft array to frequency ?

  Help me Stackoverflow, I'm close to going all "HULK SMASH" on my keyboard over this issue. I have researched carefully but I'm obviously not getting something right. I am working with a Julian dates referenced from a proprietary tool (Platinum SQL?), though I'm working in SQL 2005. I can convert their "special" version of Julian into datetime when I run a select statement. Unfortunately it will not insert into a datetime column, I get the following error when I try: The conversion of a char data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range datetime value. So I can't setup datetime criteria for running a report off of the Stored Procedure. Original Value: 733416 Equivalent Calendar Value: 01-09-2009 Below is my code... I'm so close but I can't quite see what's wrong, I need my convert statement to actually convert the Julian value (733416) into a compatible TSQL DATETIME value. • Configuring OpenLDAP as a Active Directory Proxy

  We try to set up an Active Directory server for company-wide authentication. Some of the servers that should authenticate against the AD are placed in a DMZ, so we thought of using a LDAP-server as a proxy, so that only 1 server in the DMZ has to connect to the LAN where the AD-server is placed). With some googling it was no problem to configure the slapd (see slapd.conf below) and it seemed to work when using the ldapsearch tool, so we tried to use it in apache2 htaccess to authenticate the user over the LDAP-proxy. And here comes the problem: We found out the username in the AD is stored in the attribute 'sAMAccountName' so we configured it in .htaccess (see below) but the login didn't work. In the syslog we found out that the filter for the ldapsearch was not (like it should be) '(&(objectClass=*)(sAMAccountName=authtest01))' but '(&(objectClass=*)(?=undefined))' which we found out is slapd's way to show that the attribute do not exists or the value is syntactically wrong for this attribute. We thought of a missing schema and found the microsoft.schema (and the .std / .ext ones of it) and tried to include them in the slapd.conf. Which does not work. We found no working schemata so we just picked out the part about the sAMAccountName and build a microsoft.minimal.schema (see below) that we included.   Hey! I've got a quick question about the jQuery UI DatePicker. When I load the page, defaultDate: 0 will work fine with selecting the current day's date. I would like to create a 'fake' click on the date so it will execute my JavaScript function and retrieve information from the database. • Convert NSData to primitive variable with ieee-754 or twos-complement ?

  Hi every one. I am new programmer in Obj-C and cocoa. Im a trying to write a framework which will be used to read a binary files (Flexible Image Transport System or FITS binary files, usually used by astronomers). The binary data, that I am interested to extract, can have various formats and I get its properties by reading the header of the FITS file. Up to now, I manage to create a class to store the content of the FITS file and to isolate the header into a NSString object and the binary data into a NSData object. I also manage to write method which allow me to extract the key values from the header that are very valuable to interpret the binary data. I am now trying to convert the NSData object into a primitive array (array of double, int, short ...). But, here, I get stuck and would appreciate any help. Therefore, I think that the Obj-C double does not use the IEEE-754 convention as well as the Obj-C int are not twos-complement.   Being a log4net newb / boob I just copied lines from an NHibernate example project where I can see the log.txt file is updated. Is there a quick answer why mine isn't creating the file?
