    What could be the Consequence of inserting "id" in any autoincrementing 'id' containing table? If I have a Tabe in which I have configured the column "id" as the auto incrmented, But still I am using an INSERT query in which id is defined, like wise INSERT INTO XYZ (id) values ('26'); How does it going to effect the table and the process related to it.. Is it "no issues" to do this? or it should be avoided?

  • getAttribute cannot return class in IE7?

    I need to find random nodes according to random attribute values. To do that I use getAtrribute on nodes from getElementsByTagName. It seems like when I look for class name as attribute it does not work on IE (works on FF). Anyone know if getAtrribute doesn't work only on 'class' or other attributes as well? (if its only class I'll do a workaround.)

    Please take a look at the following code: Sort[{1, y, x}, Greater] Max[{1, x, y}] x = 1 y = 2 Sort[{1, y, x}, Greater] Max[{1, x, y}] It is interesting to note that the first Sort always produce a definite result while the first Max does not, even when Greater is specified. Note I have not given any numerical values for x and y. Why is this and how can I have a Sort function behave the same way as the Max (or Min) function? Thanks!

    I'm wanting to use http_build_query to change an array to html tag properties. Problem is, it's changing my single-quoted values into %27. So if I have http_build_query( array("type"=>"'hidden'", ... ), '', ' ' ); I get <input type=%27hidden%27 ...> How can I get around this?

  • Using "null" in jQuery functions. Is this okay?

    My database consists of some entries which are NULL (so they don't affect max, min, etc..). When I pull all of the data from the database, I need to repopulate form fields with the values. Using .val(value) where value = NULL seems to work without any problems, but I'm not sure if this is a valid way to go about this. It doesn't say anything in the jQuery documentation (that I can find) about using NULL as parameters to functions.

    Hi, In an if statement with multiple conditions is second executed if the outcome is clear after checking the first condition? example: if(i>0 && array[i]==0){ } If I swap the conditions a seg fault may occur for negative values of i but this way the memory debugger doesn't find a problem. Can I be sure that this works always or do have have to use nested if statements?

    Can you explain this? I want to eval values and calculations from two different sources. One source gives me the following info(programmatically): 'a = 2' The second source gives me this expression to evaluate: 'a + 3' This works: a = 2 eval 'a + 3' This also works: eval 'a = 2; a + 3' But what I really need is this, and it doesn't work: eval 'a = 2' eval 'a + 3' I would like to understand the difference, and how can I make the last option work.     Hello, I have a for loop that loops over one array... for i=1:length(myArray) In this loop, I want to do check on the value of myArray and add it to another array myArray2 if it meets certain conditions. I looked through the Matlab docs, but couldn't find anything on creating arrays without declaring all their values on initialization or reading data into them in one shot. Many thanks!

    Here's my table with some sample data a_id | b_id ------------ 1 225 2 494 3 589 When I run this query INSERT IGNORE INTO table_name (a_id, b_id) VALUES ('4', '230') ('2', '494') It inserts both those rows when it's supposed to ignore the second value pair (2, 494) No indexes defined, neither of those columns are primary. What don't I know?

    Good Morning, Say I have an insert statement: Insert INTO tblTest (fieldOne,FieldTwo,fieldThree) VALUES ('valueOne','valueTwo','null') This statement doesn't seem to want to insert a null value into the database... I have also tried to insert the word "nothing". Has anyone any ideas how to make this work? I am using SQL server 2005.
