  • 403 forbidden while submitting a POST request with image data via iPhone application

    I am creating an iOS application which allows users to send image/text data to my webserver via a POST request. I am successfully sending POSTS to the server when image data is not included in the request. Any time i POST with image data the server spits back a 403 forbidden. I have tried adding the following to the .htaccess file in the directory of the script with no luck: Options +Indexes FollowSymLinks +ExecCGI Order allow,deny Allow from all web browsers and Android devices can successfully POST with image data to the script, the only device which cannot is the iPhone. POSTING with data to other hosting providers works as expected - it is just this host(ipowerweb.com). i noticed that when i try to POST to ANY script on the server with data returns a 403 forbidden. another note: i can successfully post to another server that is hosted by ipowerweb, but mine cant seem to handle it. My host has tried to resolve the issue but cannot, and they have marked it on their end as "resolved", so no more help from them. I wish to keep this host as moving would be a pain - i will change hosts as a last resort, so please help me! Why am i getting this 403 forbidden error only when i submit data via my iPhone application? Radomly because the performance can be very great, but after the next reboot or login become very poor. After another reboot or login, this might change again to better or worse.   • Uninstalling a program doesn't remove shortcuts from Start menu

    This problem started very recently after a system restore. Each time I uninstall a program, it uninstalls correctly but the shortcuts remain in the Start menu. I can easily delete them by right-clicking on them, but it is an irritant and I was wondering why this is hapenning. I tried changing the permissions on C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs but it did not help. What else can I try? I am using Windows 7 Home Premium.

    I am wondering if there is any way of easily creating a zip file that contains a bunch of files. However, when I double-click to open this zip file, I do not want it to create a subdirectory with the same name as the zip file, I just want all of the files to be extracted into the directory where the zip files is stored. Is there a certain flag I can add in terminal to do this, or any program that does this. Thanks for your help!

My problem is that I've installed the printer on the windows server and shared it, the permissions are right, but when i try to connect to that printer from the windows xp client, it throws the following errer: "You do not have sufficient access to your computer to connect to the selected printer".     I'm finding that on occasion my Linux box runs out of memory and it starts tearing down random processes to deal with it. I'm curious what administrators do to avoid this? Is the only real solution to up the amount of memory (will upping the swap alone help?), or is there better ways to set up the box with software to avoid this? (i.e., quotas, or some such?).     I need to FTP in from one server to another If I FTP using my local PC using Krusader I'm able to FTP into the server but if I ssh into one server and I'm trying to FTP to the server using the same ftp credentials I get message [Resolving host address...] I know this address is correct since I can ping it from the server I use the following command lftp 'open -u username,password server' If I use the same command to ftp to a different server it works. Any help advise will be greatly appreciated.
