• RegEx expression to find a href links and add NoFollow to them

  I am trying to write a RegEx rule to find all a href HTML links on my webpage and add a 'rel="nofollow"' to them. However, I have a list of URLs that must be excluded (for exmaple, ANY (wildcards) internal link (eg. pokerdiy.com) - so that any internal link that has my domain name in is excluded from this. • Sending mail from a contact form. Simple but challenging!

  I've set up a contact form in the Greet Us page in http://swedsb.com When I submit the form, it says mail sent successfully. But I'm not getting the mail, checked the spam folder. I've set a similar form at http://ibsolutions.in. It is working perfectly. Been breaking my head for the past 4 hours. I'm using this regular expression for detect if an url ends with a jpg : var exp = /(\b(https?|ftp|file):\/\/[-A-Z0-9+&@#\/%?=~_|!:,.;]*[-A-Z0-9+&@#\/%=~_|]*^\.jpg)/ig; it detects the url : e.g. http://www.blabla.com/sdsd.jpg but now i want to detect that the url doesn't ends with an jpg extension, i try with this : var exp = /(\b(https?|ftp|file):\/\/[-A-Z0-9+&@#\/%?=~_|!:,.;]*[-A-Z0-9+&@#\/%=~_|]*[^\.jpg]\b)/ig; but only get http://www.blabla.com/sdsd then i used this : var exp = /(\b(https?|ftp|file):\/\/[-A-Z0-9+&@#\/%?=~_|!:,.;]*[-A-Z0-9+&@#\/%=~_|]*[^\.jpg]$)/ig; it works if the url is alone, but dont work if the text is e.g. : http://www.blabla.com/sdsd.jpg text

  I am writing an asp.net application that exposes data in 2 ways: 1 - 1 common section that all users can see 2 - a Section that displays data specific to a registered user. in this case the user can decide how it looks (through themes), and manage the data to be displayed. Of course, the logic behind is the same, appearance would be different for as user1 and user2 The questions are : What would be best using : 'http://www.site.com/User1' or 'http://user1.site.com'. knowing that in both cases i have to make the displayed pages look like a seperate site then the root domain in anycase, the pages that will be displayed and customized on the fly are located in a subfolder of the of the asp.net project (projectrootpath\personalpages). What is the best way to map the personalpages subfolder to a subdomain or a 'http://www.site.com/userX' in the address bar. i also use "~/" in the urls which in this case needs to point to the personalpages rather then the root . Any help is gretaly apreciated.

• JQuery JEditable stay in edit mode on error

  I'm successfully using jeditable to submit via a function using jQuery.ajax and the async : false option , but am having an issue aborting if an error is returned. How can I get the edit box to stay activated and / or revert back to the original value if there are errors? I'm returning http status codes. so something like async : false .ajax submit here... if (xhr.status == 200) { return value; else { alert ('returned error'); // keep edit box activated but available for another try, or revert back to original value } I tried not returning a value from the function, which keeps the edit box activated and ready for another submit, but then the ESC key doesn't work anymore and if I click outside the edit area, the edit box stays.   I have the following rule on my local dev site and it works fine: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^localhost$ RewriteRule ^subdomains/example.com(.*) http://www.example.com$1 [R=301,L] However when I change it to: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.domain.com$ RewriteRule ^subdomains/example.com(.*) http://www.example.com$1 [R=301,L] and upload it to my live site it doesn't work, if i change the rule to: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.domain.com$ RewriteRule ^subdomains/(.*) http://www.example.com$1 [R=301,L] the rule functions as expected and directs an url beginning with www.domain.com/subdomains/ to www.example.com/. Does anyone know what is going on here? Thanks for you help.

  Hi, I need to configure two name-based virtual hosts in my ubuntu pc. If I type the address "http://mypage1" in browser, it should display my first customized html page and if I type the address "http://mypage2", it should display my second customized html page. I tried out the following: 1. installed apache 2. created a file mypage1 inside sites-available with the contents as follows: VirtualHost *:80 ServerName mypage1 ServerAlias http://mypage1 DocumentRoot /var/www/mypage1/html /VirtualHost 3. created a similar file mypage2 inside sites-available 4. ran the commands "a2ensite mypage1" and "a2ensite mypage2" to generate soft links inside sites-enabled. 5. restarted apache using "sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart" After doing the above steps, when I type mypage1 in firefox, I get dns_unresolved_hostname error. Kindly help me how to resolve this problem.

  Im trying to set up multiple user directories on EC2 running Ubuntu, but im not sure how to set it up correctly so that i can serve files in the following format: http://<ec2 ip address>/user_1/public_html/file1.html and http://<ec2 ip address>/user_2/public_html/file3.html and so on for every user that i add. • Why can't I access Jetty running on my Mac via my iPhone?

  I'm developing an iPhone app that has a network component. I'm developing the app in Java (Google App Engine actually), running on port 8080. And it works, when I test my app in the iPhone simulator. But now I am trying to test on the device, and I can't hit my Jetty instance. I can certainly access my Mac via the iPhone because I'm able to hit http://10.0.1.7/~brianpapa/ and view my Home Folder when Web Sharing is turned on. But when I try to hit http://10.0.1.7:8080/, it says it can't connect to the server. Interestingly, if I try to hit http://10.0.1.7:8080/ from my mac, it doesn't work either - I have to use localhost as the hostname instead, then it's fine. Has anybody ever encountered this before, and know how to fix it?

• Windows azure deployment

  I just built a simple hello world windows azure service containing just one web role, I used visual studio 2008 and Windows azure tools for VS 1.2 I am pretty new to this and I have been trying to deploy an application all afternoon now. I'm in australia and deploying in the region Asia anywhere. I have pretty much followed the info provided on MSDN and it says uploaded 95% then after about ten minutes the deployment disappears. I have tried using the old windows azure developer portal and 30minutes later I can not access the service and it's status is either busy or stopped. I have the introductory offer for an extra small compute instance on the subscription I am deploying to. Can anyone with experience with windows azure elaborate on the subject of deploying apps and the status on my application, I am very keen to get into the platform and this issue has just about spoiled my weekend.

  Hi, I am using Rackspace Cloud CDN (Limelight CDN) for my website. The URLs of the CDN are in the format http://cxxxxxx.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspacecloud.com/something.jpg My domain is mydomain.com. Can I use IIS URL rewriting to show http://cxxxxxx.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspacecloud.com/something.jpg as http://images.mydomain.com/something.jpg? Or is this impossible without the CDN setup accepting my CNAME? If so, can you please help create the URL rewrite rule? (Sorry, don't know how to use regular expressions) Thanks, WT

• nginx + ssi + remote uri access does not work

  I have a setup where my nginx is in front with apache+PHP behind. My PHP application cache some page in memcache which are accessed by nginx directly except some dynamic part which are build using SSI in Nginx. The first problem I had was nginx didnt try to use memcache for ssi URI. <!--# include virtual="/myuser" --> So I figured that if I force it to use a full URL, it would do it. <!--# include virtual="http://www.example.com/myuser" --> But in logs file (both nginx and apache) I can see that a slash has been added at the beginning of the url http ssi filter "/http://www.example.com/myuser" In the source code of the SSI module I see a PREFIX that seems to be added, but I can really tell if I can disable it. Anybody got this issue? Nginx version : 0.7.62 on Ubuntu Karmic 64bits Thanks a lot

• I can't get areas working in VS2010

  I just upgraded from VS2010 RC to RTM. Now my areas aren't working. I have a Profile area with a Home controller and an Action method Index(). If I try: http://localhost:4951/profile I get a 404 error saying that the resource can't be found. If I try http://localhost:4951/profile/home I get the same error. However, if I try http://localhost:4951/profile/home/index then the view is returned.   This question is for learning purposes. Suppose I am writing a simple SQL admin console using CGI and Python. At http://something.com/admin, this admin console should allow me to modify a SQL database (i.e., create and modify tables, and create and modify records) using an ordinary form. In the least secure case, anybody can access http://something.com/admin and modify the database. You can password protect http://something.com/admin. But once you start using the admin console, information is still transmitted in plain text. So then you use HTTPS to secure the transmitted data. Questions: To describe to a learner, how would you incrementally add security to the least secure environment in order to make it most secure? How would you modify/augment my three (possibly erroneous) steps above? What basic tools in Python make your steps possible? Optional: Now that I understand the process, how do sophisticated libraries and frameworks inherently achieve this level of security?

• Can not connect to service with my public IP, only with localhost

  I have installed Linux Mint 8 (based on ubuntu). And I have setup a webserver on port 8098. I can connect to my webserver with http://127.0.0.1:8098, but when I try to connect to http://192.168.1.107:8098 from the same machine or another machine it doesn't work. How can I get this working? Is there any default firewall settings that I have to change?

  I have some prototype functions added to Object which in my opinion were practical in certain scenarios. However, I noticed that when I executed a $.get, the prototype functions are handled as data members and are sent like http://...?prototypefunc=false. This is rather useless as I don't supply these as data members, but they are added to the query string. To be exact, I have this code: Object.prototype.in = function() { for(var i=0; i<arguments.length; i++) if(arguments[i] == this) return true; return false; } $.get('http://localhost/test.php', {'test': 'foo'}, function(text) { }); The corresponding URL constructed is: http://localhost/test.php?test=foo&in=false How can I avoid this?
