• Why isn't pyinstaller making me an .exe file?

  I am attempting to follow this guide to make a simple Hello World script into an .exe file. I have Windows Vista with an AMD 64-bit processor I have installed Python 2.6.5 (Windows AMD64 version) I have set the PATH (if that's the right word) so that the command line recognizes Python I have installed UPX (there only seems to be a 32-bit version for Windows) and pasted a copy of upx.exe into the Python26 folder as instructed. I have installed Pywin (Windows AMD 64 Python 2.6 version) I have run Pyinstaller's Configure.py. It gives some error messages but seems to complete. • Updating a Cuda 4.0 project to Cuda 4.2

  I have a VS2010 project that was tested with CUDA 4.0, today I installed CUDA 4.2 and I want to update this project, the problem is that when I try to run the project it asks me for cudart32_40_17.dll, but since this is CUDA 4.2 I only have on my folders (C:\Program Files\NVIDIA GPU Computing Toolkit\CUDA\v4.2\bin) cudart32_42_9.dll. I already set the Build Customizations to Cuda 4.2 and it compiles without any problem, the only problem is when I try to run it, the app asks me for the previous version of the dll. Is there a way to especify that the project must use cudart32_42_9.dll?

• Uninstall Mono from Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard

  I installed Mono on my iMac last night and I immidiately had a change of heart! I don't think Mono is ready for prime time. The Mono website says to run the following script to uninstall: #!/bin/sh -x #This script removes Mono from an OS X System. It must be run as root rm -r /Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework rm -r /Library/Receipts/MonoFramework-SVN.pkg cd /usr/bin for i in `ls -al | grep Mono | awk '{print $9}'`; do rm ${i} done Has anyone had to uninstall Mono? Was it as straight forward as running the above script or do I have to do more? How messy was it? Any pointers are appreciated. Thanks

• Running Command via Java ProccesBuilder Different to Running the same in the Shell

  I'm tearing my hair out trying to work out why the command I'm executing via Java using a ProcessBuilder & Process is not working. I run the "same" command at the Windows command line and it works as expected. It must be that they're not the same but I can't for the life of me work out why. The command is this: ccm start -nogui -m -q -n ccm_admin -r developer -d /path/to/db/databasename -s http://hostname:8400 -pw Passw0rd789$ The output is should be a single line string that I need to grab and set as an environment variable (hence the v. basic use of the BufferedReader).   Hi All, I will restrict this to the three tables I am trying to work with Problem, Communications, and ProbComms. The scenario is that a Student may have many Problems concurrently which may affect their studies. Lecturers may have future communications with a student after an initial problem is logged, however as a Student may have multiple Problems the Lecturer may decide that the discussion they had is related to more than one Problem. According this document the GMA X3100 does support EXT_geometry_shader4. The input is POINTS and the output is LINE_STRIP. • PHP calling and displaying CSS in different browser.

  I'm having problem with CSS where, when I run on Mozilla Firefox the CSS is doing fine. But when I run inside Internet Explorer, the CSS is not working. When I try to change the code in the CSS file, it works otherwise. Mozilla is OK, but Internet Explorer is not. I have an idea calling 2 different CSS. For example, style_IE.css and style_moz.css. Both CSS files will be called from header.html. How can I fix this problem? Is there some code that can distinguish between browsers? Whenever the user is running in Internet Explorer, then style_IE is called if not it otherwise.

• JIRA JQL searching by date - is there a way of getting Today() (Date) instead of Now() (DateTime)

  I am trying to create some Issue Filters in JIRA based on CreateDate. The only date/time function I can find is Now() and searches relative to that, i.e. "-1d", "-4d" etc. The only problem with this is that Now() is time specific so there is no way of getting a particular day's created issues. i.e. Created < Now() AND Created >= "-1d" when run at 2pm today will show all issues created from 2pm yesterday to 2pm today when run at 9am tomorrow will show all issues created from 9am today to 9am tomorrow What I want is to be able to search for all issues created from 00:00 to 23:59 on any day. Is this possible?

• Transparent Proxy for IPv6 traffic under Linux

  When maintaining networks, it is often an expedient thing to do to run a transparent proxy. By transparent proxy I mean a proxy that 'hijacks' outgoing connections and runs them through a local service. Specifically I run a linux firewall with squid configured so that all tcp/ip connections fowarded on port 80 are proxied by squid. This is achived using the iptables 'nat' table, using IPv4. But iptables for IPv6 does not have a 'nat' table, so I cannot use the same implementation. What is a technique I can use to transparently proxy traffic for IPv6 connections? (this question has still not been answered adequately yet, a year on)

  Hi! I'm exhausted. I have installed GnuPG and exported secret key, and two public keys (my own and one of my client) from another instance of GnuPG. I try to configure 'my encrypting/decrypting' method on the local machine. When I run encrypting method from a little console application it works good. When I run this (same! - with the same body) method from my webservice on my local machine ... I have an ExitCode = 2. Happy in fact of catching the error message, but unhappy with their body. "gpg: no default secret key: secret key not available gpg: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.xml: sign+encrypt failed: secret key not available" What should I do? Whats wrong? Best regards, Karol Bladek

From my perspective, it should just try to pull down hibernate w/o inserting the groupId, but maybe i'm not understanding how i'm supposed to run this command?

• Why won't the VisualVM Profiler profile my application?

  I've created a simple 1 file java application that iterates through a loop, calls some functions, allocates some memory, adds some numbers, etc. I run that application via eclipse's Run As->Java Application. The running application shows up in Java VisualVM under Local. I double click on that application and go to the Profiler tab. The default settings are: Start profiling from classes: my.main.package.** Do not profile classes: java.*, javax.*, sun.*, sunw.*, com.sun.* I click on CPU. The CPU and Memory buttons gray out. Nothing happens. The Status says profiling inactive. When my application terminates the Status says application terminated. What am I doing wrong here? Are there some settings I need to tweak? Do I need to set a VM flag when I launch my application?

  I have installed Ubuntu Server 10.10 and I am using it to host a domain that I have. I am trying to set up FTP for the server, but I am running into some problems. I have successfully installed vsFTPd and I have opened up ports 20, 21 on my firewall. In my vsFTPd configuration, I have enabled SSL. Every time I try to connect to my server via FTP, I receive a "Connection Refused" error. I have had a little more success with SSL disabled, however the connection process will time out after the LIST command (but it does accept my authentication).   I'm having an issue getting Appstats to work correctly. Using /appstats or /appstats/stats ends up in an infinite loop that keeps redirecting back to /appstats/stats. This results in a 404 error saying the page isn't redirecting properly. Any idea what the issue is? Here are the relevant lines in my appengine-web.xml.   I ultimately want to get data from this page: http://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/apps/track/personal/findByTrackNumber?trackingNumber=0656887000494793 But that page forwards to: http://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/apps/track/personal/findByTrackNumber?execution=eXs1 So when I use open (open-uri) to try and fetch the data, it throws a RuntimeError error saying HTTP redirection loop: So I'm not really sure how to get that data after it redirects and throws that error.

  A team member of mine recently setup some Hudson continuous-integration builds for a number of our development code bases. It uses the built in ant integration configured in simple way. While, it is very helpful and I recommend it strongly, I was wondering how to get more more concise/informative/useful emails instead of just the tail of the ant build log. E.G., Don't want this: > [...truncated 36530 lines...] > [junit] Tests run: 32, Failures: 0, Errors: 0, Time elapsed: 0.002 sec ... (hundred of lines omitted) ... > [junit] Tests run: 10, Failures: 0, Errors: 0, Time elapsed: 0.001 sec > [junit] Tests FAILED > > BUILD FAILED I assume, that I could skip the build-in ant support and send the build log through a grep script, but I was hoping there was a more integrated or elegant option.

• iPhone app running in Instruments fails with unrecognized selector

  I have an app that appears to run without problems in normal use. The Clang Static Analyzer reports no problems either. When I try to run it in Instruments, it fails with an unrecognized selector exception. The offending line is a simple property setter of the form: self.bar = baz; To figure out what's going on, I added an NSLog() call immediately above it: NSLog(@"class = %@ responds = %d", [self class], [self respondsToSelector:@selector(setBar:)]); self.bar = baz; On the emulator (without Instruments) and on a device, this shows exactly what I'd expect: class = Foo responds = 1 When running under Instruments, I get: class = Foo responds = 0 I'm stumped as to what could cause this. Perhaps a different memory location is getting tromped on when it's in the Instruments environment? Can anyone suggest how I might debug this?
