Is iPad using OpenGL ES 2.0? How about iPhone os 4.0. Is this supported by the OS or the hardware?
And can anyone recommend some books on OpenGL ES development on iPad or iPhone?
Thanks!
Should I learn C#3 or C#4 !? there are alot more books on C#3 than C#4 , would my programming abilities be outdated if I learned C#3 !?
And another small question :
there are books like : beginning Visual C# 2008 , and Illustrated C# 2008 .
The question is : Do they mean the IDE when they mention Visual C# 2008 ?
I believe I understand this in terms of hardware, where multiple individuals 'share' the same processing and memory for their solutions. But I've been looking at gmail and facebook, are those multiptenanted solutions? Is it that as long as my solution can support multiple users, its multitenanted?
Hi
I'm a beginner in BlackBerry programming, I need to replace in my application the default menu (when you press the menu button) by a custom menu, horizontal. The best to describe is I want the same result as the WeatherEye application for BlackBerry...
I know how to create the default menu, but this one I have no idea!
Thank you,
Is there any tool or software to find passphrases in an image like .jpg? or Should i use any programming in this regard, i googled but din't find any guidance?
Hi
I am designing a remote CD/DVD burner to address hardware constraint on my Machine.
My design work like that :(Analogous to network paper printer)
Unix Based Machine (acts as server) hosts a burner.
Windows based machine acts as client.
Client prepare data to be burn and transfer it to server.
Server burn the data on CD/DVD.
My Question is :
.
Which is the best protocol to transfer data over network (Keeping same Directory hierarchy) between different OS
What is the least amount of code you can write to create, sort (ascending), and print a list of 100 random positive integers? By least amount of code I mean characters contained in the entire source file, so get to minifying.
I'm interested in seeing the answers using any and all programming languages. Let's try to keep one answer per language, edit the previous to correct or simplify. If you can't edit, comment?
I´m interested in both web resources and books. It´s a jungle out there, please give me a hand.
My goal is to learn the SQL language so I can query Sql Server databases within a couple of weeks.
I´ve got a programming background, and I know some basic stuff about relational databases, but almost nothing on how to use the SQL language.
I am trying to improve my programming skills by learning more about frameworks, methodologies, and related technologies. I have seen a lot of job postings with requirements that also include Linux and/or Apache. So, my question is, what sort of things should I study in terms of Linux from a development standpoint?
I've got my interpreter up and running - quite bug-free and stable for now - now I want to add some visual options to my language to play around.
What is a good GUI library easy to use and mainly easy to embed and "link" to my programming language?
What general rules do I have to follow?
I'm currently on XP with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.
Hi there ,
i always asked myself. Why are there so many DB management systems?
I am not an DB expert and i never thought about using another DB than mysql.
Programming languages offer different paradigms, so there it makes sense to choose a specific language for your purpose.
What are factors to choose a specific DB management system ?
Just found out that the video output of the iPad is not a system level functionality, but that it needs to be explicitly build in into each app.
Is there somebody who has any experience with this, who could point me to sample code?
Secondary question would be: why wouldn't Apple make this a system feature. Is it a hardware issue, that I should be aware of when building this into my app?
recently I found an interesting site that provides Internet fax services via internet
I am learning programming and I was inspired to make an application that could send faxes from my PC, any ideas or suggestions?
Hello there!
I'm just started on playing around with the canvas HTML5-object. For the sake of performance tests, I have made a little ping pong game (http://bit.ly/arTPut). Apart from my quick'n'dirty programming skills, I believe, that there are also some performance boosts, I haven't used. Especially, the ball seams to be blue with a little red-touch, but by my decleration it should be yellow. Would be very nice, if someone could help me!
Greetings, Vilius
Is speed of the (main/only viable) implementation of an interpreted programming language a criteria today?
What would be the optimal balance between speed and abstraction?
Should scripting languages completely ignore all thoughts about performance and just follow the concepts of rapid development, readability, etc.?
I'm asking this because I'm currently designing some experimental languages and interpreters
For now it has been around 4 years that I work as developer. Most of my team mates, from their tech-skill, programming ability and code practices view, are somewhere between junior and senior. In all my previous jobs, there was a real geek who was brilliant at coding/analyzing/lead, but the others were just 'average' programmers.
How would you rank your co-workers as good developers from rank 1 (best) - 5 (worst) ?
I've been learning Lisp to expand my horizons because I have heard that it is used in AI programming. After doing some exploring, I have yet to find AI examples or anything in the language that would make it more inclined towards it.
Was Lisp used in the past because it was available, or is there something that I'm just missing?
I'm searching for articles that will make me a generally better programmer. I code in Python but combine it with Postgres and JS quite a lot if that helps. I'm currently reading Dive into python3 but I fear it won't last me much longer and would really like to expand my programming ability.
Does anyone have any good recommendations?
Hi,
Please anyone point me a best book for learning web server programming with servlets and jsp technology. It should contain introductions from the basics .

I'm programming application using libpcap. when I debug the application in normal mode, pcap cannot get the network device. it seems that I have to debug the application in root.
How can I debug the application in root? I have the root password.
I think eclipse has such an option that can add root for the debugging application, but I don't know how to do it.
please help.
I have next to no programming experience, and absolutely none with Java, so I'm looking for some good online tutorials/primers. Please point me to good ones for beginners like me.
Thanks.
Now I have a certificate which includes a public key,i want to get the public key from it in iPhone SDK programming, and encrypt a string by RSA with the public key. What should i do?
Please help me!!Thanks very much.
Hello,
I want a framework (or anything) that helps me make rich client guis. I know my server-side, but I don't like programming in ajax, javascript, css etc.
Something that wraps the ajax code in some objects/methods with clean syntax, would do the trick. I want to write code in java instead of defining css and html tags.
Does Java Spring, JSF, Django support this ?
Languages: Java, Python
Thank you
For programming FPGAS, is it possible to write my own place & route routines? [The point is not that mine would be better; the point is whether I have the freedom to do so] -- or does the place & route stage output into undocumented bitfiles, essengially forcing me to use proprietary tools?
Thanks!
