• Pygame program that can get keyboard input with caps

  I have a Pygame program that needs text input. The way it does this is to get keyboard input and when a key is pressed it renders that key so it is added to the screen. Essentially it acts like a text field. The problem is, when you hold shift it doesn't do anything. I relize this is because the program ignores shift input and instead writes the text if it's number is under 128. I have thought of setting a variable when shift is pressed then capitalizing if it was true, but string capitalization only woks on letters, not things like numbers or semicolons. Is there maybe a number I can add to the ascii number typed to modify it if shift is pressed, or something else?

  Hi all, In php we can assign a method name to a variable and then use that variable to call the method. For example: $image_create_func = 'ImageCreateFromGIF'; $newImage = $image_create_func($oldImage); But can we do this in Flex? In flex, I have the string public var key:String = "email" And I also have a value object searchTerm:SearchTermVO which has a public property "email" (searchTerm.email). Now I want to do searchTerm.email by doing something like in php: searchTerm.key but it's not possible. Can anybody help me with this plz? Thank you.

  Hi all, I am trying to retrieve information from a web service call. The following is what I have so far. In my text view, it is showing Map {item=anyType{key=TestKey; value=2;}; item=anyType{key=TestField; value=adsfasd; };} When I ran that in the debugger, I can see the information above in the variable, tempvar. But the question is, how do I retrieve the information (i.e. the actual values of "key" and "value" in each of the array positions)? Yes, I know there is a lot going on in onCreate and I will fix it later. • CakePHP Bake association problem

  I have only two tables in my database with a one-to-many relationship between them (user hasMany messages) and am trying to get basic CRUD functionality going. Bake detects the associations correctly and specifies them correctly inside the model classes, but in controllers and views it looks like Cake doesn't know anything about those associations -- I don't even get a select tag for user_id when I go add a new message. Has anyone come across this problem before? What can I be doing wrong?   When I run this SQL statement: CREATE UNIQUE INDEX WordsIndex ON Words (Word ASC); I get the following exception message: The CREATE UNIQUE INDEX statement terminated because a duplicate key was found for the object name 'dbo.Words' and the index name 'WordsIndex'. The duplicate key value is (ass). The statement has been terminated. The 'Word' column has a datatype of nvarchar(100). There are two items in the 'Word' column that SQL Server interprets as the same: 'aß' and 'ass', which causes the indexing failure. Why would SQL Server interpret those two different words as the same word?

  I'm new to Python, as well as SQL Alchemy, but not the underlying development and database concepts. I know what I want to do and how I'd do it manually, but I'm trying to learn how an ORM works. I have two tables, Images and Keywords. The Images table contains an id column that is its primary key, as well as some other metadata. The Keywords table contains only an id column (foreign key to Images) and a keyword column. I'm trying to properly declare this relationship using the declarative syntax, which I think I've done correctly. I saw something about making sure I get the right 'join', and I'm using 'from sqlalchemy.orm import join', but still no luck. image = session.query(Image).select_from(join(Image, Keyword)).\ filter(Keyword.keyword == 'boy') I added the specific join clause to the query to help it along, though as I understand it, I shouldn't have to do this. image = session.query(Image).select_from(join(Image, Keyword, Image.id==Keyword.id)).filter(Keyword.keyword == 'boy') So finally I switched tactics and tried querying the keywords and then using the backreference. However, when I try to use the '.images' iterating over the result, I get an error that the 'image' property doesn't exist, even though I did declare it as a backref. result = session.query(Keyword).filter(Keyword.keyword == 'boy').all() I want to be able to query a unique set of image matches on a set of keywords. I just can't guess my way to the syntax, and I've spent days reading the SQL Alchemy documentation trying to piece this out myself. I would very much appreciate anyone who can point out what I'm missing.

  I have just install slime in emacs. And after removed all the other plugins for debuging, I found that slime seems had conflicts with autopair.(Or a bug of autopair?).In slime, when I typed C-c C-c, the minibuffer displayed error like: error in process filter: define-key: Wrong type argument: characterp, nil error in process filter: Wrong type argument: characterp, nil error in process filter: define-key: Wrong type argument: characterp, nil error in process filter: Wrong type argument: characterp, nil Even more, the error message still alerted after I killed the slime buffer.   Hello, I'm porting a small C++ console game to C# and it seems that I can't stop key presses from being printed to the console. In C++ I get the keystroke with this method, which also suppress the keystrokes from being printed to the console: bool Game::getInput(char *c) { if (_kbhit()) { *c = _getch(); return true; } return false; } I tried to do the equivalent in C# by doing: Key = Console.ReadKey(); But this does not suppress the character from being printed to the console, causing obvious problems.   I need some kind of priority queue to store pairs <key, value>. Values are unique, but keys aren't. I will be performing the following operations (most common first): random insertion; retrieving (and removing) all elements with the least key. random removal (by value); I can't use std::priority_queue because it only supports removing the head. For now, I'm using an unsorted std::list. Insertion is performed by just pushing new elements to the back (O(1)). Operation 2 sorts the list with std::sort (O(N*logN)), before performing the actual retrieval. Removal, however, is O(n), which is a bit expensive. Any idea of a better data structure?

(using code_set_id as primary key in code_set and code_set_id as foreign key in cartridge). Mapping with GORM can be done without intermediate table?

• Query Only Specified Number Of Items From Parent/Child Categories

  I'm having trouble figureing out how to query every item in a certain category and only list the newest 10 items by date. Here is my table layout: download_categories category_id (int) primary key title (var_char) parent_id (int) downloads id (int) primary key title (var_char) category_id (int) date (date) I need to query every file in a main category that lets say has 100 items and 5 child categories and only spit out the last 10 added. I have functions right now that just add up all the files so I can get a count by category, but I can't seem to modify the code to only display a certain amount of items based on the date.
