    It is probably piece of cake for You, but I'm in the black hole now and I don't know what is the problem with The Wall. I would like to do something as www.wall.plasm.it/examples/example-the-wall/. Please - look at: www.megainstal.pl/ there is not any images. Could You help with fix it? I will be really grateful for any help/information. Short story: 1) I download the files from github: https://github.com/plasm/the-wall 2) I changed only 3 files: 01-wall.css, index.html, 01-wall.js (case: basic) 3) in 01-wall.js I declared images: var a = new Element("img[src=../../img/middle/"+counterFluid+".jpg]"); 4) images that are: 1 to 76.jpg Could you point me to where I making a mistake?     I have seen many questions already and all are about background page to content script. Summary My extension has an options page, and a content script. The content script handles the storage functionality (chrome.storage manipulation). Whenever, a user changes a setting in the options page, I want to send a message to the content script to store the new data. This works great when viewing the page for the first time (or force reloading all content). However, when the image has already been cached, it doesn't use the preloading script and thus does not send the play trigger to jplayer. How can I make it send a play trigger even when the image is cached? Thank you in advance, Dennis

    Hello, I am looking for ways to protect my product images and I don't know if there's anything out there better than what I've already found: disable right click, use a transparent image in front of your picture and watermarking. Obviously none of them is perfect but I was curious if someone came up with a better solution to this problem. Also is there any rails plugin to aid with that ? Thanks

    All, I am really stuck/ confused at this point. I have an array with 6 items in it. Each item in the array is dynamically filled with elements using jquery '.html' method. However, I cannot seem to be able to attach/ bind an event to this dynamically created variable.     I am using jQuery and my js file thats calling a jquery function resides in totally different directory than jQuery is in. I need to call this function reloadPage like this from js file reloadPage({param1:'First Parameter', param2:ID}); but it gives me an error Line: 341 Error: Object doesn't support this property or method Line 341 is reloadPage({param1:'First Parameter', param2:ID});. What can I do to run this function from outside the directory? I tried parent.reloadPage({param1:'First Parameter', param2:ID}); But that didnt work either.

    I know a good bit of JS and I'm familiar with jQuery, and I'm trying to create an "endless" slideshow (like the one on http://thisismedium.com/), where the images scroll -- one right behind the other -- and when it reaches the end it loops. I don't really know how to start, so I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I created a slideshow before that automatically switched images and let you click Next and Previous, but I'm stuck here. =/.

  • trigger onchange event manually

    Hi all, I'm setting a date-time textfield value via a calendar widget. Obviously, the calendar widget does something like this : document.getElementById('datetimetext').value = date_value; What I want is : On changing value in the date-time textfield I need to reset some other fields in the page. I've added a onchange event listener to the datetimetext field which is not getting triggered, because I guess onchange gets triggered only when the element gets focus & its value is changed on losing focus. Hence I'm looking for a way to manually trigger this onchange event (which I guess should take care of checking the value difference in the text field). Any ideas ? Thanks in advance, Anitha

    i am trying to make the preloading work in such a way that the components i wish to preload start to load after successfully loading the page. for example, i have index.php. i want it to load up completely. as soon as it loads up i want to start loading the other components. to make things clear. i have a nav that makes use of large size images. if i load them along with the index.php file, it would increase load up time of the page. i wish for those large images to load after completely rendering index.php? am i making sense? is it possible?

  • Using HTTP status codes to reflect success/failure of Web service request?

    I'm implementing a Web service that returns a JSON-encoded payload. If the service call fails -- say, due to invalid parameters -- a JSON-encoded error is returned. I'm unsure, however, what HTTP status code should be returned in that situation. On one hand, it seems like HTTP status codes are for HTTP: even though an application error is being returned, the HTTP transfer itself was successful, suggesting a 200 OK response. On the other hand, a RESTful approach would seem to suggest that if the caller is attempting to post to a resource, and the JSON parameters of the request are invalid somehow, that a 400 Bad Request is appropriate. I'm using Prototype on the client side, which has a nice mechanism for automatically dispatching to different callbacks based on HTTP status code (onSuccess and onFailure), so I'm tempted to use status codes to indicate service success or failure, but I'd be interested to hear if anyone has opinions or experience with common practice in this matter.   • How to set document.domain for a dynamically generated IFRAME?

    I am implementing CodeMirror (http://marijn.haverbeke.nl/codemirror/) on a page where document.domain needs to be declared (because of other IFRAMES on the page). CodeMirror generates a dynamic IFRAME to provide syntax highlighted code editing. The problem is that IE throws up 'Access Denied' (other browsers are fine) at the following piece of code mirror code: this.win = frame.contentWindow; ... var doc = this.win.document; <-- ERROR doc.open(); doc.write(html.join("")); doc.close(); It turns out IE doesn't inherit document.domain from parent IE. I can set document.domain in the IFRAME contents but IE throws up the error before I can even set the contents. Any ideas how to tackle this problem?

    I really like how Trulia.com has created their custom Google Map InfoWindows. What I like in particular about Trulia's implementation of the InfoWindow is: Extends beyond the map border: Google Maps InfoWindows are contained within the map border whereas Trulia's seems to be able to float on-top of the map Always displays InfoWindow near map Center: Google Maps InfoWindows always display the InfoWindow above the marker whereas Trulia InfoWindows always display the InfoWindow as close the center of the map as possible. For example, if the map marker icon is on the top of the map near the border, the Trulia InfoWindow is displayed below the map marker icon InfoWindow is displayed on mouse hover (not 'click'): With the default Google Maps InfoWindow, you have to 'click' the map marker icon to display the InfoWindow whereas Trulia InfoWindows are display simply by hovering over the map marker icon. I found the PdMarker, which is a 3rd party extension for Google Map InfoWindows that accomplishes most of the above bullets but not all. 1) It does not extend beyond the map border, 2) it does not work with Google Maps API version 3 (only version 2). Anyone know how Trulia is accomplishing their InfoWindow-like implementation on Google Maps API v3?
