    hello everyone, I am porting an application from foxpro to C#.Net. This is a wine shop billing software. I think listview can help me in this regard but don't know how to implement. i figured out that each row of listview should have 2 textbox, 1 combobox and few textblock or label. Not only this but cursor should jump from one control to other control using "Enter/Return" key instead of "Tab" key. Please help me with some code lines. Please guys help me......

  • C++ using cdb_read returns extra characters on some reads

    Hi All, I am using the following function to loop through a couple of open CDB hash tables. Sometimes the value for a given key is returned along with an additional character (specifically a CTRL-P (a DLE character/0x16/0o020)). I have checked the cdb key/value pairs with a couple of different utilities and none of them show any additional characters appended to the values. I get the character if I use cdb_read() or cdb_getdata() (the commented out code below). If I had to guess I would say I am doing something wrong with the buffer I create to get the result from the cdb functions.     Hi, I have a bunch of items – for simplicity reasons – a flat table with unique names seeded via bulk insert: create table #items ( ItemName NVARCHAR(255) ) The database has this structure: create table Statements ( Id INT IDENTITY NOT NULL, Version INT not null, FurtherDetails varchar(max) null, ProposalDateTime DATETIME null, UpdateDateTime DATETIME null, ProposerFk INT null, UpdaterFk INT null, primary key (Id) ) create table Item ( StatementFk INT not null, ItemName NVARCHAR(255) null, primary key (StatementFk) ) Here Item is a child of Statement (inheritance). I would like to insert items in #items using a set based approach (avoiding triggers and loops). Can this be achieved with OUTPUT in my scenario. A ‘loop based’ approach is just too slow where I use something like this: insert into Statements (Version, FurtherDetails, ProposalDateTime, UpdateDateTime, ProposerFk, UpdaterFk) VALUES (1, null, getdate(), getdate(), @user_id, @user_id) etc. This is a start for the OUTPUT based approach – but I am not sure whether this would work in my case as ItemName is only inserted into Item: insert into Statements ( Version, FurtherDetails, ProposalDateTime, UpdateDateTime, ProposerFk, UpdaterFk ) output inserted.Id ... ???     So client gives me a string like "1,23,23,abc,ggg,544,tf4," from user 12 . There can be infinit number of elements with no spaces just value,value,... structure. I have users table (with users uId(key), names etc). I have streams table with ( sId(key), externalID, etc values). User sends me externalId's. And I need to hawe externalId's in play list (not my sId's). I need some way to store such array into my DB and be able to get it from DB. I need to be able to do 2 things return such string back to user be able to get na array from it like {1; 23; 23; abc; ggg; 544; tf4;} So what is best method (best here means shourt(small amount of) code) to store such data into db to retrivew stored tata in bouth ways shown

  • Database indexes and their Big-O notation

    I'm trying to understand the performance of database indexes in terms of Big-O notation. Without knowing much about it, I would guess that: Querying on a primary key or unique index will give you a O(1) lookup time. Querying on a non-unique index will also give a O(1) time, albeit maybe the '1' is slower than for the unique index (?) Querying on a column without an index will give a O(N) lookup time (full table scan). Is this generally correct ? Will querying on a primary key ever give worse performance than O(1) ? My specific concern is for SQLite, but I'd be interested in knowing to what extent this varies between different databases too.

The r2,v2 line bombs; complaining c.TryGetValue must be given a tuple. Interestingly, in each line the signature of TryGetValue is different. How can I get my custom implementation to exhibit the same behavior as the BCL version? Or, asked another way, since F# has (implicitly) the concept of tuple parameters, curried parameters, and BCL parameters, and I know how to distinguish between curried and tuple-style, how can I force the third style (a la BCL methods)? Let me know if this is unclear.

    I have two operations that I do all the time in Emacs: Create a new buffer and paste the clipboard. [C-S-n] Close the current buffer. [C-S-w] Switch to the last viewed buffer [C-TAB] I feel like a keyboard acrobat when doing the first two operations. I think it would be worth trying some custom keybindings and macros. A few questions about this customization: How would I make a macro for #1? Are these good keybindings (i know this is a bit subjective, but they might be used by something popular that I don't use) Has anyone found a Ctrl-Tab macro that will act like Alt-Tab in Linux/Windows? Specifically, I want it have a stack of buffers according to the last viewed timestamp (most recent on top). I want to continue cycling through the stack until I let go of the ctrl key. When the ctrl key is released, I want the current buffer to get an updated position on the stack.

  • ASP MVC dynamic fields in editor

    I have a form which will include some optional questions that need to asked of the user. In my model it may look like pubic Dictionary<String, String> Questions { get; set; } where the key is the label and value is the text box. How can I create and populate controls for this? I'm new to ASP MVC, but it makes sense that something like this would be built in. Is there a built in way to do this, or do I have to implement it myself? It seems like there should be a helper for it, since you don't really want to put this kind of code in the view. I've tried Html.EditorFor(model => model.Questions); but it just spits out "[key, value]" to the view.

  • Is there any short way to load data to the properties of a class, for each column name matching the properties of the class?

    I want to load data to an instance of an object using its constructor and I write $this->property=$row["colname"] each time for each property. the mysql_fetch_object function fetches the data as an object but I am not sure if the instance of an object can be assigned to some object from inside. othwerwise I would use __construct($object) { $this=$object; } //doesn't give any syntax error Maybe I should look into iteration of properties and use foreach($object as $key => $value) $value=$object[$key]; or can I assign like $this=$object; within the constructor?

    Hello Guys! I have 2 tables: User and Picture. The Picture table has the key of the user. So basically each user can have multiple pictures, and each picture belongs to one user. Now, I am trying to make the following query: I want to select all the user info plus the total number of pictures that he has (even if it's 0). How can I do that? Probably it sounds quite simple, but I am trying and trying and can't seem to find the right query. The only thing I could select is this info, but only for users that have at least 1 picture, meaning that the Pictures table has at least one record for that key... But I also wanna consider the users that don't have any. Any idea? Thanks!

    I'm trying to create a "GetCurrentLevel" method that takes a point value as an input and returns what "Level" that corresponds to. I'm storing the Level = Points mapping in an array, but the array pointer is not moving logically when I use it a foreach loop. I've added echo statements for debugging.   • How can I write cocoa bindings as code instead of in the Interface Builder?

    In my modell got an NSMutableArray that keeps track of a changing number of elements. In my view I got a NSTextField that shows the number of elements. The view gots unarchived from the nib file and alloc/inits the modell. Therefore it knowns about the modell and the contained array. I established the connection as follows. In the Interface Builder at the textfield I added a Cocoa Binding "path" like this: myModell.myArray.@count. By this I can access the count property (which is a must since the array itself does not change). The binding is based on key-value compliance which I established at the modell so the array can be accessed. But key-value compliance is not part of the questions. My question: How can I put the binding into the sourcecode and not writing it into the Interface Builder?

    Hi all. Consider the deletion procedure on a BST, when the node to delete has two children. Let's say i always replace it with the node holding the minimum key in its right subtree. The question is: is this procedure commutative? That is, deleting x and then y has the same result than deleting first y and then x? I think the answer is no, but i can't find a counterexample, nor figure out any valid reasoning. Thank you. EDIT: Maybe i've got to be clearer. Consider the transplant(node x, node y) procedure: it replace x with y (and its subtree). So, if i want to delete a node (say x) which has two children i replace it with the node holding the minimum key in its right subtree: y = minimum(x.right) transplant(y, y.right) // extracts the minimum (it doesn't have left child) y.right = x.right y.left = x.left transplant(x,y) The question was how to prove the procedure above is not commutative.

  • OpenSSH connection trouble

    Hi, I'm trying to use Putty 0.60 to log in to an OpenSSH 5.3 server. Connections with openssh from another Linux server are possible, but Putty fails. Putty's event log tells me "software caused connection abort" right after the DH key exchange, the server log doesn't report anything (set to INFO). I analyzed the traffic with Wireshark and got a whole bunch of "TCP retransmission" and "TCP DUP ACK" after said key exchange. Sometimes I was able to log in, but at some point (usually < 2 min.) the connection froze without any logged messages. Sadly, I didn't capture a trace. The server is my own (Funtoo with genkernel and gentoo-sources 2.6.34), so I may tweak it, but I'd still like to know what causes the error. Any suggestions? Thank you!
