hi, I have specified textSize="3mm" but when I run the code on the droid the text is much smaller. I looks like the size has been specified in px. I am using minSdk=4 and anydensity = "true". So it seems like if I ask for 3mm I should get 3mm, right?
Thanks in advance.
I have created and committed to Mercurial repository that was created on my local drive. I now have a remote Windows 2003 web server setup to serve repositories via hgwebdir.cgi.
How do I move the locally created repository to the web server?
It looks like an ftp of the .hg folder on the local drive to the remote web server does the trick. Am I doing it the right way. Is there a more efficient way?
I'm using a Windows Service to do some directory cleaning (implementing a FileSystemWatcher).
The problem I'm having is that sometimes, when several files in a directory are deleted, one of the files still shows in the Explorer window. If you refresh the window the file disappears. Similarly, if you right-click on it or try to copy it, a pop-up informs that it no longer exists.
So what I'd like to know is: is there any way I can programmatically refresh the view of the Explorer window?
I've been looking all over for a simple example of how to have an action (or button) be triggered when the enter key is hit in the text field.
Should I subclass the text field? Would I need to set a delegate to call the action I need? Is there a way to catch the event in my main window controller class?
If you could even just point me to the right direction that would be great. Thanks.
Couldn`t find any ActionScript native APIs even in the beta documentation, am I right supposing that this means the only way to measure CPU / memory consumption is by cooking up a custom native solution, hooking it up with AIR and making it work on each targeted platform?
Basically the aim is to be able to have this information available inside AIR and not having to use an external application for profiling, not even Flex / Flash builder.
I have noticed that when using a SUBMIT type its name attribute gets passed via POST , while an IMAGE type button do not have this data sent, can any one clear this up for me? In both instances the NAME attribute is present at HTML level, but only the SUMBIT type has the NAME sent via POST....is this right?
IN joomla site ,
I made the replica of one joomla site.

I'm currently using a thread to handle Connect and Send calls asynchronously. This is all working fine, but now I want to make receiving asynchronous too. How should I receive data without pausing the whole queue while waiting for data? The only solution I can think of right now is a second thread.
How can view the execution line used by netbean v6.8 to execute my java application when I press the run program button (right pointing green arrow)? I'm looking for something like:
java -cp build/class Main
I'm trying to make the jump to java IDE developement from 15 years writing c and c++ with vi. I'm starting with netbean since it seems to have the best vi key bindings.
For the past few years I've been dabbling in object-oriented languages like Python and Ruby, but the OOP concept never really meshed with me. Right now, I'm eager to learn something based on a different paradigm.
Is there a way to change the sync settings of a Gmail account programmatically with an Android app? For instance, I'd like to enable/disable syncing of a Gmail account from my app, without the user having to do anything.
I took a look at AccountManager, but that doesn't seem to be the right place to look.
Hi Guys,
We are creating a "widget" for our site and wanted to ensure we have got this right.
I realize this all relates to X-Browser permissions but little worried about how this works with like Cookies and permissions ?
If you have ever been fired from a job, did you notice anything different about the behavior of your peers or upper management just before your termination? What are some common signs to look for among your coworkers and project manager(s) that would indicate your position is severely at risk?
EDIT: My instincts were right, and I opted to resign rather than face termination. I guess when you have that "gut feeling" that something is about to happen, it's a strong sign that you should be heading for the exit...
I'm looking for good timer implementation in perl. The situation I met is like: I need to keep track of I/O activities of many files and for thoes files keep untouched for enough time a remove action will be taken upon them, so an efficient timer implementation is really vital for
the app I'm involved right now. To avoid recreate the wheel, ask you guys for help first.
I have a list containing version strings, such as things:
versions_list = ["1.1.2", "1.0.0", "1.3.3", "1.0.12", "1.0.2"]
I would like to sort it, so the result would be something like this:
versions_list = ["1.0.0", "1.0.2", "1.0.12", "1.1.2", "1.3.3"]
The order of precendece for the digits should obviously be from left to right, and it should be decending. So 1.2.3 comes before 2.2.3 and 2.2.2 comes before 2.2.3.
How do I do this in Python?
Hi,
I've seen plenty of classes in .NET which have private constructor (Stream is one of them I think). When would I want to model a class like this?
I keep thinking that if my class has no internal state/fields, then I can make it have a private constructor.
Am I on the right track with this idea? I can understand the use of a factory (I've run into the tipping point a few times), but not with a private constructor class.
Thanks
Hi,
I have a webservice, in which I read the settings saved in an xml file.
I read the setting by the following command:
string dpath = HttpContext.Current.Request.PhysicalApplicationPath.ToString();
XmlTextReader reader = new XmlTextReader(dpath + "Settings.xml");
This is working perfectly when running the application on the localhost, but when I publish the webserver I am getting an error, most probably because the settings are not being loaded.
Am I using the right command to read the file ?
thanks
Hi,
I have a url like http://www.example.com/blah/th.html
I need a javascript function to give me the 'th' value from that.
All my urls have the same format (2 letter filenames, with .html extension).
I want it to be a safe function, so if someone passes in an empty url it doesn't break.
I know how to check for length, but I should be checking for null to right?

I need to be able to update my ec2 instance from a label in mercurial when it resets so my application is always set at the right revision.
It'd be great to be able to push my changes to a mercurial host and have my instances automatically update across the ec2 network when they are reset!
I really don't want to host mercurial on the same instance (or even a dedicated instance)
I am trying to post data from my form to a jquery dialog that loads external content.
I am serializing the form data which works (appears in the url) but the dialog won't open:
$("#wavajax button").click(function() {
$.post({url: 'player/index.php', data: $("#wavajax").serialize(),
success: function (data) {
$("#recordingdialog").load("player/index.php", [], function(){
$("#recordingdialog").dialog("open");
}
});
return false;
});
What am I doing wrong, am I going about it the right way???
I'm developing an iPad application using Core Data, and was hoping someone could clarify something about Core Data.
Right now, I populate my table by making a fetch request for all of my data in viewDidLoad. I'd rather make individual fetch requests in my tableView:cellForRowAtIndexPath:. Can anyone tell me which is more efficient, and why? In other words, is it much less efficient to make lots of small requests as opposed to one big request?
Yes, the private member variable bar should be final right? But actually, in this instance, it is an atomic operation to simply read the value of an int. So is this technically thread safe?
class foo {
private int bar;
public foo(int bar) {
this.bar = bar;
}
public int getBar() {
return bar;
}
}
// assume infinite number of threads repeatedly calling getBar on the same instance of foo.
Is there any good framework for comparing whole objects?
now i do
assertEquals("[email protected]", obj.email);
assertEquals("5", obj.shop);
if bad email is returned i never get to know if it had the right shop, i would like to get a list of incorrect fields.
