    Hi everyone, I tried to figure this out for some days now, I tried to use my own object to sort of replace the global object to reduce problems with other scripts (userscripts, chrome extensions... that kind of stuff). However I can't get things to work for some reason. I tried some debugging with JSLint, the developer tools included in Google Chrome, Firebug and the integrated schript debugger in IE8 but there is no error that explains why it doesn't work at all in any browser I tried. I tried IE 8, Google Chrome 10.0.612.3 dev, Firefox 3.6.13, Safari 5.0.3 and Opera 11.   • JNI: dll function works ok in C++ main, but not with dll wrapper

    I have an a.dll (not modifiable as i do not have the source) with a function bool openPort(DWORD mem).I wrote a c++ main, loaded this dll using LoadLibrary, and the function works well.It returns true. Now, I need to call this function from Java via JNI.     I have several expanders inside a ScrollViewer in a fixed sized ChildWindow. The problem is when each expander expanded,the scroll will not scrolling down automatically and as a result,some of the items in the bottom will get hidden and we have to manually scroll down to see them.     Hi all, I have two tables linked by an ID column, lets call them Table A and table B. My goal is to find all the records in table A that have no record in table B. For instance: Table A: ID----Value 1-----value1 2-----value2 3-----value3 4-----value4 Table B ID----Value 1-----x 2-----y 4-----z 4-----l As you can see, record with ID = 3 does not exist in table B, so i want a query that will give me record 3 from table A. the way i am currently doing this is by saying AND NOT EXISTS (SELECT ID FROM TableB) but since the tables are huge, the performance on this is terrible. Also, when i tried using a Left Join where TableB.ID is null, it didnt work. Can anyone suggest an alternative?

    Hello all, I am trying to display a text field that has text inside it, and display the flashing Caret at the end of the text. I have tried the following: Code: // ti_title is my textField stage.focus = ti_title; ti_title.setSelection( ti_title.length, ti_title.length ); I have also tried: // ti_title is my textField ti_title.stage.focus = ti_title; ti_title.setSelection( ti_title.length, ti_title.length ); The field is focused because I can type into it, but I do not see a Caret until I have started typing. This is not very good for usability. I have even tried removing text then re-adding it and then setting the selection again, but still not working. Any ideas? all the best nG

    I have added a UITableView prototype Cell into a UIView for an iPad application using StoryBoard in Xcode (targeting iOS6). The problem I'm having is that the labels are not being recognized in my viewController when I try to reference them.     Your typical "It doesn't work" freak out going on over here. Any direction would help. I have a login control on my master page and I'm trying to only display it using jquery fancybox and then redirect the user once they are logged in. But any buttons or controls that should do "something" when pressed when I put inside the fancy box are not responding. If I keep the div visible and then use the control not using fancybox I get the expected result. What are my options?

If i remove the .live method and use the 'normal' way, ui effects defined in the first snipped are applied but only the the elements loaded before any AJAX request.     This is my script - it simply looks for the image file associated to a person record. Now the error will display if there is NO .jpg evident when the query runs.     hello fellow java developers, Having a little issue with creating a java application on a macintosh computer (snow leopard). I've set up my application in eclipse, added all of the appropriate jar files, but for some reason the code is not recognizing some of my variables as valid types. I've imported the libraries via import javax.mail.*; import javax.mail.internet.*; These libraries are not recognized by the application. BUT I've put them on the build path! Any advice on how to fix this?

  • UIVIewController not released when view is dismissed

    I have a main view, mainWindow, which presents a couple of buttons. Both buttons create a new UIViewController (mapViewController), but one will start a game and the other will resume it. Both buttons are linked via StoryBoard to the same View. They are segued to modal views as I'm not using the NavigationController. So in a typical game, if a person starts a game, but then goes back to the main menu, he triggers: [self dismissViewControllerAnimated:YES completion:nil ]; to return to the main menu. I would assume the view controller is released at this point. The user resumes the game with the second button by opening another instance of mapViewController. What is happening, tho, is some touch events will trigger methods on the original instance (and write status updates to them - therefore invisible to the current view). When I put a breakpoint in the mapViewController code, I can see the instance will be one or the other (one of which should be released). I have tried putting a delegate to the mainWindow clearing the view: [self.delegate clearMapView]; where in the mainWindow - (void) clearMapView{ gameWindow = nil; } I have also tried self.view=nil; in the mapViewController. The mapViewController code contains MVC code, where the model is static. I wonder if this may prevent ARC from releasing the view.     Hi, I have made two folders, res/layout and res/layout-land The output i got If I start the application in portrait mode, it will always use the xml in layout folder if the application run in portrait mode. And will not use xml in layout-land if i change the device to landscape mode If it start in landscape mode it only use the xml in layout-land The xml is not switching when the orientation change What i expect was It should use the xml in layout folder while it is in portrait mode and use the xml in layout-land while in landscape mode In the Manifest file i have added android:configChanges="orientation" for the activity and <supports-screens android:resizeable="true" android:largeScreens="true" android:normalScreens="true" android:anyDensity="true" /> Did i missed any thing here?   • Process.WaitForExit not triggering with __debugbreak

    I'm trying to write a program to test student code against a good implementation. I have a C++ console app that will run one test at a time determined by the command line args and a C# .net forms app that calls the c++ app once for each test. The goal is to be able to detect not just pass/fail for each test, but also "infinite" (5secs) loop and exceptions (their code dying for whatever reason). The problem is that not all errors kill the C++ app. If they corrupt the heap the system calls __debugbreak which pops up a window saying Debug Error! HEAP CORRUPTION DETECTED... My C# app is using Process.WaitForExit(5000) to wait, but this error doesn't count as an exit, so I see a timeout. So my question is, how can I either get the C# app to detect that this is an error OR how can I get the C++ app to die when this error occurs rather than giving a dialog box and asking if I want to debug?

  • Setting Corner Radius on UIImageView not working

    I'm at a bit of a loss. I've used the layer property of UIView to round the corners of multiple elements in my app. However, this one UIImageView is simply not complying. Not sure what I am missing. The UIImageView (called previewImage) is contained in a Table View Cell.     Hi there. I am using a ge_called_class hack for allowing late static binding in php version 5.2 (found here). I have the following in my code: # db_record.php $ac = "ForumThread"; $objects = $ac::find("all"); This will not work in php 5.2 for some reason, so I have done this: # db_record.php $ac = "ForumThread"; eval("\$objects = {$ac}::find('all');"); This on the other hand will not work with the get_called_class function. I get an error that the file function can't read the evaled section of code. So how do I solve this problem? Best regards.

    Hi, I am creating small django application which holds some few questions (and answers for them) What I want to do is to show user random question, but only from those which was not solved by him yet. I wonder how to do this. For now, I defined user profile model this way: class UserProfile(models.Model): rank = models.IntegerField(default = 1) solvedQ = models.ManyToManyField(Question) user = models.ForeignKey(User, unique=True) So solved problems are added this way: if user.is_authenticated(): profile = user.get_profile() profile.rank += 1 profile.solvedQ.add(Question.objects.get(id=id)) Now if the view must show random question, but not from already solved list... Is there a good way to intersect Questions and solvedQuestions.... so question is chosen from the unsolved list?

  • Get client timezone (not GMT offset amount) in JS

    I need to determine the client timezone (e.g. CET, GMT, EST) in JS. Getting the offset is straightforward, but doesn't have all the info necessary to determine the TZ, at least not easily. I have a feeling it might be possible to use a combination of offset, whether DST is in use and in effect, etc. but I'm hoping someone else has done the work already, especially considering the weird exceptions when dealing with time. This question is similar but both the question and the answer are based on the (incorrect) assumption every browser's DateString format includes the name of the timezone - which it does not. That is an implementation detail. So, with that I am currently stuck.

  • jQuery code works in Firebug, but not on its own

    I'm having quite the brainbuster of an issue right now. I am trying to change a link's hash tag at the end from "respond" to "comments" with jQuery. I have a simple script that should do this, however it does not work. The link does not change. However, Firebug shows no errors and when I run the code in Firebug's console, it works just as I intend. Why doesn't this work on its own? Does anybody have a solution, I'm at my wits edge with this one.
