    I'm developing an application in which I have internal and external links. i noticed that Jquery mobile does not load the spinner when an external link is clicked: Example <a href = "/products">Spinner is shown </a> <a href = "othersite.com" rel = "external">Spinner is NOT shown </a> I have tried : $('a[href][rel=external]').click(function(){ //doesnt work $.mobile.showPageLoadingMsg(); } and: $('a[href][rel=external]').click(function(){ // shows the spinner but it gets stuck forever $.mobile.showPageLoadingMsg(); $('#loadingDiv').div("refresh"); } can someone help me show the spinner when the rel = external links are clicked? thanks!

  • Symfony2 same form, different entities NOT related

    I'm trying to write one form for submitting against MySQL DB, but I can't get it working, I've tried a lot of things (separate forms, create an ->add('foo', new foo()) to a field, and trying to parse plain SQL with a normal HTML form is my only solution, which is obviously not the best. This is my DB structure: As you can see I need to insert the comments textarea to ticketcomments among the user who wrote it, etc. On crmentity the description field. Then on ticketcf the fields that I need to submit from form, are this (because you wont know if I don't tell you because of the field names): tcf.cf594 AS Type, tcf.cf675 AS Suscription, tcf.cf770 AS ID_PRODUCT, tcf.cf746 AS NotificationDate, tcf.cf747 AS ResponseDate, tcf.cf748 AS ResolutionDate, And, of course, every table needs to have the same ticketid id for the submitted form, so we can retrieve it with one simple query. It will be easy to do with plain SQL instead of using DQL and Symfony2 forms, but is not a good way to do it. Also, here's my "Ticket list" query, if you need it to have it more clear...     I am using jQuery and would like to display the images from my PC, rather than hosting them. I have the following: /* works fine: */ .ui-widget-header .ui-icon { background-image: url(images/ui-icons_2e83ff_256x240.png); } /* does not work: */ .ui-widget-header .ui-icon { background-image: url(file:///C:/ui-icons_2e83ff_256x240.png); } When I put file:///C:/ui-icons_2e83ff_256x240.png in a browser, it displays the actual image beautifully. Both locations are valid image locations. Could this not working be to do with the image being a sprite? Does anyone have any ideas on this one? Many thanks.

I have Junit tests and everything is working fine. I have made a different project in the same workspace - which happens to be an Android project - that needs to use my LicenseGenerator classes. I added LicenseGenerator to the "projects" tab in the build path - the classes were recognized and I was able to use them. Everything compiled and ran. However, when the part of the LicenseGenerator that used the commons-codec was called from my Android project I got the following error. Could not find method org.apache.commons.codec.binary.Base64.encodeBase64URLSafeString, referenced from method This basically tells me that the commons-codec was not packaged which the Android project, so I added the commons-codec to the android project as well but the same error appears. how do I fix this?

But on two peers' laptops (windows 7 64 bit and windows 8 64bit) they return file dlls not found or (in the case of the first one) file *.* not found Can someone shed some light here? The only difference I can see between the machines is possibly permissions. But I don't see how that would affect xcopy's ability to recognize a local path.

  • Is 4-5 years the “Midlife Crisis” for a programming career?

    I’ve been programming C# professionally for a bit over 4 years now. For the past 4 years I’ve worked for a few small/medium companies ranging from “web/ads agencies”, small industry specific software shops to a small startup. I've been mainly doing "business apps" that involves using high-level programming languages (garbage collected) and my overall experience was that all of the works I’ve done could have been more professional. A lot of the things were done incorrectly (in a rush) mainly due to cost factor that people always wanted something “now” and with the smallest amount of spendable money. I kept on thinking maybe if I could work for a bigger companies or a company that’s better suited for programmers, or somewhere that's got the money and time to really build something longer term and more maintainable I may have enjoyed more in my career. I’ve never had a “mentor” that guided me through my 4 years career. I am pretty much blog / google / self taught programmer other than my bachelor IT degree. I’ve also observed another issue that most so called “senior” programmer in “my working environment” are really not that senior skill wise. They are “senior” only because they’ve been a long time programmer, but the code they write or the decisions they make are absolutely rubbish! They don't want to learn, they don't want to be better they just want to get paid and do what they've told to do which make sense and most of us are like that. Maybe that’s why they are where they are now. But I don’t want to become like them I want to be better. I’ve run into a mental state that I no longer intend to be a programmer for my future career. I started to think maybe there are better things out there to work on. The more blogs I read, the more “best practices” I’ve tried the more I feel I am drifting away from “my reality”. But I am not a great programmer otherwise I don't think I am where I am now. I think 4-5 years is a stage that can be a step forward career wise or a step out of where you are. I just wanted to hear what other have to say about what I’ve mentioned above and whether you’ve experienced similar situation in your past programming career and how you dealt with it. Thanks.

I read that I could create them like this: myElement = (Element *)[NSEntityDescription insertNewObjectForEntityForName:@"Element" inManagedObjectContext:managedObjectContext]; And right after that remove them: [managedObjectContext deleteObject:myElement]; then I can use my elements: myElement.property1 = @"Hello"; This works pretty well even though I think this is probably not the most optimal way to do it... Then I try to use it in my UITableView... the problem is that the object get released after the initialization. My table becomes empty when I move it! Thanks

I tried many ways, by modifying the urltemplate, method name and method type etc. but nothing is working out. But if I use the [WebGet] attribute the the service method is working fine.     I'm running a Postgresql query and getting the following error: ActiveRecord::StatementInvalid (PGError: ERROR: could not open segment 1 of relation base/20983/24161 (target block 5046584): No such file or directory The query is of the format 'SELECT "locations".* FROM "locations" WHERE ("locations"."id" IN (115990, 78330, 77891, 78248, ...)' with about 600 ids in the IN clause - not an optimal query I know but it's what I have to work with for the moment! The server is running PostgreSQL 8.4.6 on x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, compiled by GCC gcc-4.4.real (Ubuntu 4.4.1-4ubuntu9) 4.4.1, 64-bit. Postgis 1.5 is also installed, and the locations table contains a geometry column. Anyone have any idea what could be causing the error? Thanks!

  • Netbeans 7.2 not starting

    I recently installed Netbeans 7.2 beta and it worked fine. Then I installed Netbeans 7.2 final release on top of beta and during the installation, Netbeans 7.1 and Netbeans 7.12 were there. Now when I launch Netbeans, it does not go beyond "loading modules" stage. Simply the Netbeans screen disappear few seconds after the launch. Then I did the following. Uninstalled all the Netbeans versions and re-installed Netbeans 7.2 Deleted AppData/Netbeans folder Deleted User/.nbi folder Searched the registry and deleted Netbeans related entries. (But only one entry was found) Deleted Netbeans Folder in Program Files folder. Uninstalled and Re-installed in a separate drive. Uninstalled and Re-installed under another user account. None of the above worked, the only thing I did not try was to re-install the Windows XP operating system. It there any option to try before re-installing the operating system?

    We have been trying to migrate our multi-module projects to maven. I have been struggling with the maven install plugin bug "http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNG-2971". I have written a Java program which can find and replace the expressions using my settings.xml and POM in my local repository view. As a result all of my parent POM's are having a additional phase in the build process. What i'm doing is that i have attached a goal which will run my Java program during "validate" phase. I think this is a not a good idea instead i would have asked individuals to run the program on their local repository on their own. What i'm asking here is that the best way to work around the "install" plugin issue (MNG-2971). I searched through the net but i could not locate such work around.

Suppose the selected index is 0 when I opening the app.In my 3rd tab(selected index=2) I want to change the text colour of navigationbar title.And I am using the code [[UINavigationBar appearance] setTitleTextAttributes: [NSDictionary dictionaryWithObjectsAndKeys: [UIColor greenColor],UITextAttributeTextColor,nil]]; But its not changing the text color of Index 0 and 2.Colour of index 1 will change only if that tab was not clicked before changing the colour by using the above code. I don't know whats is the issue ? Any help/code will be appreciable.

  • Rails Rspec testing not saving a transactional model

    I'm currently testing my Rails controllers using RSpec. In one controller, I have a model that uses transactions, so that it will not be saved unless another nested model (whose data is filled in using fields_for) is also saved correctly. The tests hit a snag when they reach the transaction. Some debugging output proves that the model is valid and ready to save. However, upon entering the transaction block, the model does not save. Even stranger, the code never reaches the else clause of "if model.save" (It does, however, enter the transaction block). I can only assume this is a problem with my testing a transactional model. Any ideas/hints/solutions?

    I understand the consepts of RegEx, but this is more or less the first time I've actually been trying to write some myself. As a part of a project, I'm attempting to parse out strings which match to a certain domain (actually an array of domains, but let's keep it simple). At first I started out with this: url.match('www.example.com') But I noticed I was also getting input like this: http://www.someothersite.com/page?ref=http://www.example.com These rows will ofcourse match for www.example.com but I wish to exclude them. So I was thinking along these lines: Only match rows that contain www.example.com, but not after a ? character. This is what I came up with: var reg = new RegExp("[^\\?]*" + url + "(\\.*)", "gi"); This does however not seem to work, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I fear I've used what little knowledge I yet possess in the matter.
