  We have an application written in VB.NET 2003 which has built in Crystal reports. When we install the application on Windows 2008 server we get the following error while trying to open crystal report in excel format Error is : Error in File :"....rpt" Error detected by export DLL. The report opens up fine in PDF on server Opeing report in Excel works fine on my local(development) machine...But this error is thrown on server... Kindly help me resolve this issue and how to fix it?..

  This morning our game is not working on my computer under IE9. The error I get is: access denied on http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/v1/yL/r/X3oFUDWWu05.js When I load this URL in Chrome, FF, and IE 8, everything works fine. But under IE9 I have the following error: 'window is undefined' Error : 800A1391 Execution Error Microsoft JScript This is a Facebook script that I have no control over. I've cleared my cache but still get the error. Any ideas?

Now I want it to send it to an additional location along with the 2005 location. This new table is in SQL Server 2008. Can it be done without porting my SSIS package to SQL Server 2008?   On SQL Server 2005, I'm getting a deadlock when updating two different keys in the same table. note from below that these two waitresources have the same beginning part, but different ending parts. waitresource="KEY: 6:72057594090487808 (d900ed5a6cc6)" and waitresource="KEY: 6:72057594090487808 (d900fb5261bb)" These two keys are locking, and I need to figure out why.   In my web.config I have the following: <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="/error.aspx"/> When an error occurs, the user is redirected to /error.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/somepage where I can get user's name, name of the page, date, but... I can't get the error message! I can get it via the OnException method, but then I won't be able to get the name of the page which is very important for me. How can I get both the page and the error message?

  I recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 alongside windows 7. It was working fine but now when I try to boot with ubuntu after the operating system choice screen I get this. Boot Error Message Try (hd0,0): NFTS5: No ang0 Try (hd0,1): NTFS5: No ang0 Try (hd0,2): NTFS5: No ang0 Try (hd0,3): Extended: Try (hd0,4): NTFS5: No ang0 Try (hd0,5): Extended: Try (hd0,5): EXT2: And when I press ctrl+alt+del it restarts the computer and if I chose to boot with ubuntu same thing happens again.   I installed Kubuntu 11.10 on top of Windows 7. Everything works fine. I tried to update 11.10 to 12.10 and I get error Code that 11.10 is outdated and not supported. Update stops. I downloaded 12.10 iso but there is no upgrade option, just install. How can I remove the 11.10 installation and install 12.10. (Without breaking my Windows 7 install.) I need dual boot option.   Does LearnDevNow offers a useful subscription for .NET video and text reference training material or to learn .NET? I could not find a review of www.learnnowonline.com/learndevnow I've been doing research about places that offer .NET / ASP.NET / C# / LINQ / SQL / JQuery video training that provide excellent material for developers. Kind of like a Lynda.com for back end development. However, I have not find one place that offers quality material that is easily accessible for the user, and that is priced competitive. This is what I'm looking for: Online Video tutorials with free future updates (videos that can be accessed on any device ie: android portable devices, mac / ipad, linux machines) Printable courseware (ie PDFs so that you can take notes, print if necessary, and read in a tablet in case you don;t have internet access) labs, and easy to access code Pre/Post Assessments/Exams for each training to keep track of your progress and what you have learned/skills. (Appdev used to offer this but it was way too expensive (thousands for each training ie 1k for each. I paid about five thousand at Appdev, and now I regret that purchase), and after a few years/months the training became obsolete - outdated) I looked at learnnowonline.com/learndevnow but it seems that their courseware / text reference material can only be accessed online, and don't know if their videos work in all mobile devices, and browsers (Safari, Chrome, IE, Opera, Firefox) Also, it seems Appdev not longer exist and now is called " AppDev is now LearnNowPlus : www.learnnowonline.com/appdev That site not longer offers prices. I tried to find reviews but could not find any. Does anyone know, or can share a review about some of these type of online training service providers? • Graphical Error During Installation of Ubuntu 13.10 32bit

  In trying to install the latest version of Ubuntu, I made a bootable USB and proceeded to give it a shot. As it loaded, the upper half of the screen displayed staticy, multi-colored horizontal lines, but continued to boot into the installer. The installer appeared to be functional using the keyboard, but I was unable to proceed as the graphical display was a mismatched mosaic of the proper screen with no visible cursor. I'll try to edit in a photo later. Attempting the exact same USB on a different device (an old Asus Eee 1005HA) gave no such error and installed without a hitch.

  I am baking a new project management application at work and added a couple new tables to the database today. When I went into the console to bake the new models, they were not in the list... php /path/cake/console/cake.php bake all -app /path/app/ So I manually typed in the model name and I got a missing database table for model error. I checked and double-checked and the database table was named properly. Turns out that some files inside the /app/tmp/cache/ folder were causing Cake not to recognize that I had added new tables to my database. Once I deleted the cache files cake instantly recognized my new database tables and I was baking away! rm -Rf /path/app/tmp/cache/cake*

• Pre-filtering and shaping OData feeds using WCF Data Services and the Entity Framework - Part 2

  In the previous post, you saw how to create an OData feed and pre-filter the data. In this post, we will see how to shape the data. A sample project is attached at the bottom of this post. Pre-filtering and shaping OData feeds using WCF Data Services and the Entity Framework - Part 1 Shaping the feed The Product feed we created earlier returns too much information about our products. Let’s change this so that only the following properties are returned – ProductID, ProductName, QuantityPerUnit, UnitPrice, UnitsInStock. We also want to return only Products that are not discontinued.  Splitting the Entity To shape our data according to the requirements above, we are going to split our Product Entity into two and expose one through the feed. The exposed entity will contain only the properties listed above. We will use the other Entity in our Query Interceptor to pre-filter the data so that discontinued products are not returned. Go to the design surface for the Entity Model and make a copy of the Product entity. A “Product1” Entity gets created.   Rename Product1 to ProductDetail. Right click on the Product entity and select “Add Association” Make a one to one association between Product and ProductDetails.   Keep only the properties we wish to expose on the Product entity and delete all other properties on it (see diagram below). You delete a property on an Entity by right clicking on the property and selecting “delete”. Keep the ProductID on the ProductDetail. Delete any other property on the ProductDetail entity that is already present in the Product entity. Your design surface should look like below:    Mapping Entity to Database Tables Right click on “ProductDetail” and go to “Table Mapping”   Add a mapping to the “Products” table in the Mapping Details.   After mapping ProductDetail, you should see the following.   Add a referential constraint. Lets add a referential constraint which is similar to a referential integrity constraint in SQL. Double click on the Association between the Entities and add the constraint with “Principal” set to “Product”. Let us review what we did so far. We made a copy of the Product entity and called it ProductDetail We created a one to one association between these entities Excluding the ProductID, we made sure properties were not duplicated between these entities  We added a ProductDetail entity to Products table mapping (Entity to Database). We added a referential constraint between the entities. Lets build our project. We get the following error: ”'NortwindODataFeed.Product' does not contain a definition for 'Discontinued' and no extension method 'Discontinued' accepting a first argument of type 'NortwindODataFeed.Product' could be found …" The reason for this error is because our Product Entity no longer has a “Discontinued” property. We “moved” it to the ProductDetail entity since we want our Product Entity to contain only properties that will be exposed by our feed. Since we have a one to one association between the entities, we can easily rewrite our Query Interceptor like so: [QueryInterceptor("Products")] public Expression<Func<Product, bool>> OnReadProducts() { return o => o.ProductDetail.Discontinued == false; } Similarly, all “hidden” properties of the Product table are available to us internally (through the ProductDetail Entity) for any additional logic we wish to implement. Compile the project and view the feed. If anyone has the $format operation working, please post a comment. It was not working for me at the time of writing this.  We have successfully pre-filtered our data to expose only products that have not been discontinued and shaped our data so that only certain properties of the Entity are exposed. Note that there are several other ways you could implement this like creating a QueryView, Stored Procedure or DefiningQuery. You have seen how easy it is to create an OData feed, shape the data and pre-filter it by hardly writing any code of your own. • Eclipse juno - ubuntu 12 > can't install RadRails throws error for a gem i have installed allready

  The thing is I installed ubbuntu 12, java(for eclipse), eclipse, ruby, ruby gems, rails. Everything went smooth. When i tried to prepare eclipse for ruby on rails i isntaled ruby dev kit plugin. This workd, but RadRails failed with this error: Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.   When I tried to update my Ubuntu through the update manager I received an error about some unknown resource. so i tried doing it from the terminal with sudo apt-get update but all I got is: 0% [Connecting to 192.168.43.1 repeating itself... and when I press Enter it shows: W: Failed to fetch http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/precise-security/universe/i18n/Translation-en Unable to connect to 192.168.43.1:8000: E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead. How can I get this to work?

• Fixing NativeHR 0×80070002 Error When Retracting or Deploying SharePoint Apps from Visual Studio

• Error al instalar Visual Studio 2008 en Windows 7

  Post/Install() failed in ISetupManager::InternalInstallManager() with HRESULT -2147023293. - Es el mensaje que aparece en la descripción del error o en los archivos de log. Algunos dicen que si buscas más a detalle encuentras el problema. Después de reintentar la instalación como 8 veces, desinstalando cada vez más cosas, te encuentras con que la solución es sencilla: ¡Desinstala Office! No sé por qué, pero creo que Microsoft asume que si eres un desarrollador, primero instalarás VS2008 y después Office; si lo haces al revés, se generan problemas de compatibilidad (ya que VS2008 instala herramientas de interoperabilidad/desarrollo/conexión con Office, Visual Studio Tools for Office) y la instalación no pasa a veces ni del .net Framework. A final de cuentas, creo, ésta es una medio sencilla.
