  • Android Mock Location locks GPS on status bar

    - by Mark Manickaraj
I created an app that uses mock locations to insert GPS coordinates. After removing the test provider via: mLocationManager.clearTestProviderLocation(mocLocationProvider); mLocationManager.removeTestProvider(mocLocationProvider); mLocationManager.removeUpdates(mLocationListener); When I launch google maps for example after exiting the app the GPS location is found and then never goes away. "Location Set By GPS" always remains on the notification bar even though my app is ended. Any ideas?

  • Java Definitions

    - by Brian
I just had a test on java and we had to give the definition of 1) Static: 2) IOExcepion: What I said for static was...a static method is used to define a method as a class method. And I got it wrong so I asked my teacher and he said he wants the actually definition of static not a static method, class or variable just static. Can someone tell me the definition of this and for IOException please Thanks.

  • How to define a class with variable properties?

    - by user1723326
I'm making a database program. I want the user to be able to define their own columns, as many as they want. How would I then define each record in its class file?(Since the properties would be different user to user) EDIT: It's part of a school assignment-it's going to hold different scores and the likes for the teacher for different students they can add, but they will also be able to add a new assignment, test(a column) .

UPDATE polls_options SET `votes`=`votes`+1, `percent`=ROUND((`votes`+1) / (SELECT voters FROM polls WHERE poll_id=? LIMIT 1) * 100,1) WHERE option_id=? AND poll_id=? Don't have table data yet, to test it properly. :) And by the way, in what type % integers should be stored in database? Thanks for the help!

  • Trying to link my project with Boost.Thread using CMake

    - by wowus
When I link Boost.Thread to my boost_test executable, it gives me make[2]: *** No rule to make target `/usr/lib64/libboost_thread-mt.so', needed by `gogo/test/test_boost'. Stop. when I make it. Here's the offending CMake code, what am I doing wrong? add_executable(boost_test boost_test.cpp) add_test(boost_test boost_test) # Boost auto-links for MSVC, so we exclude it. if(CMAKE_COMPILER_IS_GNUCXX) target_link_libraries(test_boost #LINK_INTERFACE_LIBRARIES ${Boost_THREAD_LIBRARY} ) endif()

  • Project Implementation estimates with TDD

    - by panzerschreck
Are there any guidelines when quoting estimates for projects/tasks involving TDD? For example, when compared to normal development of a task taking 1 day to complete, how much more should a TDD driven task take? 50% more time or 70% more time? Are there any statistics available, assuming the developer is well versed with the language and the test framework?

  • Unit testing directory structure

    - by zachary
Huge project tons of classes and directories. Do I make my unit test project mirror these directories or do I put them all at the root directory? Somewhat annoying to have to make directory changes and class name changes twice.

  • Are there any simple, stupid, module based, cross-platform, c++ projects that I can check out of a r

    - by leeand00
I'm looking for one just to get a general idea of how a standard C++ project should be properly setup. (If that's possible... :-p) Here are my requirements for this project: module-based (has libraries/modules that compile into a main program module) compiles cross-platform I'd like to do this so that I can get a hold on the basics of how a good C++ project is setup, and so that I can test out Premake.

  • how to check how many bits in a byte array?

    - by newandfresh
Im creating a download speed test, and im downloading a 800megabit file to a Byte[] in a memory stream with webClient.DownloadDataAsync(new Uri(link), memStreamArray); How can i check how many bits are in the memStreamArray while downloading? I need this so i can do a calculation on size / time to get the speed in realtime. Im planing on performing this calculation in the webClient.DownloadProgressChanged event.

  • How can I obtain the IP address of my server program?

    - by Dr Dork
Hello! This question is related to another question I just posted. I'm prepping for a simple work project and am trying to familiarize myself with the basics of socket programming in a Unix dev environment. At this point, I have some basic server side code and client side code setup to communicate. Currently, my client code successfully connects to the server code and the server code sends it a test message, then both quit out. Perfect! That's exactly what I wanted to accomplish. Now I'm playing around with the functions used to obtain info about the two environments (server and client). I'd like to obtain my server program's IP address. Here's the code I currently have to do this, but it's not working... int sockfd; unsigned int len; socklen_t sin_size; char msg[]="test message"; char buf[MAXLEN]; int st, rv; struct addrinfo hints, *serverinfo, *p; struct sockaddr_storage client; char s[INET6_ADDRSTRLEN]; char ip[INET6_ADDRSTRLEN]; //zero struct memset(&hints,0,sizeof(hints)); hints.ai_family = AF_UNSPEC; hints.ai_socktype = SOCK_STREAM; hints.ai_flags = AI_PASSIVE; //get the server info if((rv = getaddrinfo(NULL, SERVERPORT, &hints, &serverinfo ) != 0)){ perror("getaddrinfo"); exit(-1); } // loop through all the results and bind to the first we can for( p = serverinfo; p != NULL; p = p->ai_next) { //Setup the socket if( (sockfd = socket( p->ai_family, p->ai_socktype, p->ai_protocol )) == -1 ) { perror("socket"); continue; } //Associate a socket id with an address to which other processes can connect if(bind(sockfd, p->ai_addr, p->ai_addrlen) == -1){ close(sockfd); perror("bind"); continue; } break; } if( p == NULL ){ perror("Fail to bind"); } inet_ntop(p->ai_family, get_in_addr((struct sockaddr *)p->ai_addr), s, sizeof(s)); printf("Server has TCP Port %s and IP Address %s\n", SERVERPORT, s); and the output for the IP is always empty... server has TCP Port 21412 and IP Address :: any ideas for what I'm missing? thanks in advance for your help! this stuff is really complicated at first.
