  Hi, I am using advanceddatagrid with groupedColumns and summary rows. I have following columns grop. <mx:AdvancedDataGridColumn id="wipId" dataField="wip.aggregatedValue" headerText="WIP"/> <mx:AdvancedDataGridColumn id="closedId" dataField="closed.aggregatedValue"/> <mx:AdvancedDataGridColumn dataField="newevents"/> </mx:AdvancedDataGridColumnGroup> <mx:SummaryRow summaryPlacement="group"> <mx:fields> <mx:SummaryField operation="SUM" dataField="wip.aggregatedValue" /> </mx:fields> </mx:SummaryRow> <mx:SummaryRow summaryPlacement="group"> <mx:fields> <mx:SummaryField operation="SUM" dataField="closed.aggregatedValue" /> </mx:fields> </mx:SummaryRow> <mx:SummaryRow summaryPlacement="group"> <mx:fields> <mx:SummaryField operation="SUM" dataField="newevents" /> </mx:fields> </mx:SummaryRow> So for fields WIP and closedEvents summary row appears zero but for newevents it appears correctly. • Return an empty collection when Linq where returns nothing

  I am using the below statement with the intent of getting all of the machine objects from the MachineList collection (type IEnumerable) that have a MachineStatus of i. The MachineList collection will not always contain machines with a status of i. At times when no machines have a MachineStatus of i I'd like to return an empty collection. My call to ActiveMachines (which is used first) works but InactiveMachines does not. public IEnumerable<Machine> ActiveMachines { get { return Customer.MachineList .Where(m => m.MachineStatus == "a"); } } public IEnumerable<Machine> InactiveMachines { get { return Customer.MachineList .Where(m => m.MachineStatus == "i"); } } Edit Upon further examination it appears that any enumeration of MachineList will cause subsequent enumerations of MachineList to throw an exeception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Therefore, it doesn't matter if a call is made to ActiveMachines or InactiveMachines as its an issue with the MachineList collection. This is especially troubling because I can break calls to MachineList simply by enumerating it in a Watch before it is called in code. At its lowest level MachineList implements NHibernate.IQuery being returned as an IEnumerable. What's causing MachineList to lose its contents after an initial enumeration?

• ZipArchive on the iPhone unzips files but they are empty

  I'm trying to use ZipArchive on the iPhone to unzip a simple text file. It returns with no error but the file is empty. I would love to know why this doesn't work. • Handle row deletion in UITableViewController

  Hello, I hava a UINavigationController. The first level is a UITableViewController, the second level just shows details on one of the items of the table view. In this detail view, I can delete the item. It deletes the underlying managed object. When I pop back to the view, I have a crash. I understand why, it's because I didn't update the cached array that contains the data. I looked at several tutorials and I don't exactly understand how am I supposed to handle deletion. Maybe I don't understand exactly where I should fetch the objects in the model. Should I do a query for every cellForRowAtIndexPath and take the item in the result at position indexPath.row? It doesn't look efficient. Should I check for changes somewhere and recache the whole query in an array. I would think CoreData would provide something more natural but I couldn't find it so far. • SWT - Table Row - Changing font color

  Is it possible to change the font color for a row based on a value in one of the columns? My table has a column that displays a status. The value of the column is going to either be Failed or Success. If it is Success I would like for that rows font be green. If the status equals Failed, I want that rows font be red. Is this possible, if so where would I put the logic. • Find out which row caused the error

  I have a big fat query that's written dynamically to integrate some data. Basically what it does is query some tables, join some other ones, treat some data, and then insert it into a final table. The problem is that there's too much data, and we can't really trust the sources, because there could be some errored or inconsistent data. For example, I've spent almost an hour looking for an error while developing using a customer's database because somewhere in the middle of my big fat query there was an error converting some varchar to datetime. It turned out to be that they had some sales dating '2009-02-29', an out-of-range date. And yes, I know. Why was that stored as varchar? Well, the source database has 3 columns for dates, 'Month', 'Day' and 'Year'. I have no idea why it's like that, but still, it is. But how the hell would I treat that, if the source is not trustable? I can't HANDLE exceptions, I really need that it comes up to another level with the original message, but I wanted to provide some more info, so that the user could at least try to solve it before calling us. So I thought about displaying to the user the row number, or some ID that would at least give him some idea of what record he'd have to correct. That's also a hard job because there will be times when the integration will run up to 80000 records. And in an 80000 records integration, a single dummy error message: 'The conversion of a varchar data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range datetime value' means nothing at all. So any idea would be appreciated. Oh I'm using SQL Server 2005 with Service Pack 3.

• CarrierWave and nested forms saving empty image object if photo :title is included in form

  I'm after some advice in regards to handling nested form data and I would be ever so grateful for any insights. The trouble is I'm not 100% sure why I require the following code in my model accepts_nested_attributes_for :holiday_image, allow_destroy: true, :reject_if => lambda { |a| a[:title].blank? } If I don't understand why I require to tact on on my accepts_nested_attributes_for association: :reject_if => lambda { |a| a[:title].blank? } If I remove this :reject_if lambda, it will save a blank holiday photo object in the database. I presume because it takes the :title field from the form as an empty string? I guess my question is, am I doing this right or is there a better way of this this within nested forms if I want to extend my HolidayImage model to include more strings like description, notes? Sorry If I can't be more succinct. • SPWorkflowCollection on SPListItem is always empty

  Hi I'm having a problem relating to Sharepoint workflows and the associated task list. I have 2 custom workflows that we created for our product. They both use the same Task list that has a custom content type that inherits from the Task content type. Now I have a case where a running workflow has been deleted via the list has been deleted or the document, this results in orphaned tasks. I want to overwrite the Task lists OnDeleting event, so that users can cleanup their tasks so that it won't contain unneccessary orphaned tasks. So my item deleting looks like this public override void ItemDeleting(SPItemEventProperties properties) { SPListItem currentListItem = properties.ListItem; } The problem is that when I go into debug mode and check the currentListItem.Workflows.Count field then it's always 0. It doesn't matter which workflow I initiate or what task i look at, the SPWorkflowCollection returned is always empty :( I was wondering if this might be related to a bug in our custom workflow where it's not wired up properly (but it finishes correctly and tasks are deleted when a workflow is terminated) or am I looking at this the wrong way ?

I don't want to used jQuery or Javascript to accomplish this. The outputted html is supposed to look like this page: http://rmtequipment.com/golfandturf.aspx I have made an interface that will allow them to add these logos on their own. So this page will be dynamically built. What is the best way to accomplish this goal? If a listview or gridview is a better approach I am open to that as well. Thanks in advance.

• Copying a subset of data to an empty database with the same schema

  I would like to export part of a database full of data to an empty database. Both databases has the same schema. I want to maintain referential integrity. To simplify my cases it is like this: MainTable has the following fields: 1) MainID integer PK 2) Description varchar(50) 3) ForeignKey integer FK to MainID of SecondaryTable SecondaryTable has the following fields: 4) MainID integer PK (referenced by (3)) 5) AnotherDescription varchar(50) The goal I'm trying to accomplish is "export all records from MainTable using a WHERE condition", for example all records where MainID < 100. To do it manually I shuold first export all data from SecondaryTable contained in this select: select * from SecondaryTable ST outer join PrimaryTable PT on ST.MainID=PT.MainID then export the needed records from MainTable: select * from MainTable where MainID < 100. This is manual, ok. Of course my case is much much much omre complex, I have 200+ tables, so donig it manually is painful/impossible, I have many cascading FKs. Is there a way to force the copy of main table only "enforcing referntial integrity". so that my query is something like: select * from MainTable where MainID < 100 WITH "COPYING ALL FK sources" In this cases also the field (5) will be copied. ====================================================== Is there a syntax or a tool to do this? Table per table I'd like to insert conditions (like MainID <100 is only for MainTable, but I have also other tables).

• Creating one row of information in excel using a unique value

  This is my first post. I am currently working on a project at work which requires that I work with several different worksheets in order to create one mail master worksheet, as it were, in order to do a mail merge. The worksheet contains information regarding different purchases, and each purchaser is identified with their own ID number. Below is an example of what my spreadsheet looks like now (however I do have more columns): ID Salutation Address ID Name Donation ID Name Tickets 9 Mr. John Doe 123 12 Ms. Jane Smith 100.00 12 Ms.Jane Smith 300.00 12 Ms. Jane Smith 456 22 Mr. Mike Man 500.00 84 Ms. Jo Smith 300.00 What I would like to do is somehow sort my data so that everythign with the same unique identifier (ID) lines up on the same row. For example ID 12 Jane Smith - all the information for her will show up under her name matched by her ID number, and ID 22 will match up with 22 etc... When I merged all of my spreadsheets together, I sorted them all by ID number, however my problem is, not everyone who made a donation bought a ticket or some people just bought tickets and nothing us, so sorting doesn't work.   All, I have a class function to interface with the RESTful API for Last.FM - its purpose is to grab the most recent tracks for my user. • Exception calling UpdateModel - Value cannot be null or empty

  This is probably something silly I'm missing but I'm definitely lost. I'm using .NET 4 RC and VS 2010. This is also my first attempt to use UpdateModel in .NET 4, but every time I call it, I get an exception saying Value cannont be null or empty. I've got a simple ViewModel called LogOnModel: [MetadataType(typeof(LogOnModelMD))] public class LogOnModel { public string Username { get; set; } public string Password { get; set; } public class LogOnModelMD { [StringLength(3), Required] public object Username { get; set; } [StringLength(3), Required] public object Password { get; set; } } } My view uses the new strongly typed helpers in MVC2 to generate a textbox for username and one for the password. When I look at FormCollection in my controller method, I see values for both coming through. • delete row from result set in web sql with javascript

  I understand that the result set from web sql isn't quite an array, more of an object? I'm cycling through a result set and to speed things up I'd like to remove a row once it's been found. I've tried "delete" and "splice", the former does nothing and the latter throws an error. • Javascript + PHP $_POST array empty

  While trying to send a POST request via xmlhttp.open("POST", "url", true) (javascript) to the server I get an empty $_POST array. Firebug shows that the data is being sent. Here is the data string from Firebug: a=1&q=151a45a150.... But $_POST['q'] returns nothing. The interesting thing is that file_get_contents('php://input') does have my data (the string above), but PHP somehow doesn't recognize it. Tried both $_POST and $_REQUEST, nothing works. • Draw a comparison between an integer in a specific row and a count

  This is a follow-up question to this one: Check for specific integer in a row WHERE user = $name I want a user to be able to comment on my site for exactly five times a day. After this five times, the user has to wait 24 hours. In order to accomplish that I raise a counter in my MYSQL database, right next to the user. So where the name of the user is, there is where the counter gets raised. When it reaches 5 it should stop counting and reset after 24 hours. In order to check the time I use a timestamp. I check if the timestamp is older than 24 hours. If that is the case, the counter gets reseted (-5) and the user can comment again. • Removing empty space with jQuery after deleting Selectable item

  I have two ordered lists and user can move items between them. I am using jQuery UI's Selectable for both of them. Problem is that when I move item from the middle of the list it leaves an empty space behind. How can I make list shrink according to the how many items is actually in the list? • Define an empty array in Perl class new()

  Hi, I am just beginner with Perl, so if it sounds stupid - sorry for that :) My problem is - I am trying to write a class, which has an empty array, defined in constructor of a class. So I am doing this like this: package MyClass; use strict; sub new { my ($C) = @_; my $self = { items => () }; bless $self, ref $C || $C; } sub get { return $_[0]->{items}; } 1; Later I am testing my class with simple script: use strict; use Data::Dumper; use MyClass; my $o = MyClass->new(); my @items = $o->get(); print "length = ", scalar(@items), "\n", Dumper(@items); And while running the script I get following: $ perl my_test.pl length = 1 $VAR1 = undef; Why am I doing wrong what causes that I get my items array filled with undef? Maybe someone could show me example how the class would need to be defined so I would not get any default values in my array? Thanks!

• Freestanding ARM C++ Code - empty .ctors section

  I'm writing C++ code to run in a freestanding environment (basically an ARM board). It's been going well except I've run into a stumbling block - global static constructors. To my understanding the .ctors section contains a list of addresses to each static constructor, and my code simply needs to iterate this list and make calls to each function as it goes. However, I've found that this section in my binary is in fact completely empty! Google pointed towards using ".init_array" instead of ".ctors" (an EABI thing), but that has not changed anything. Any ideas as to why my static constructors don't exist? • jquery append() method on empty XML element

  This could just be a syntax error, but I'm trying to create a Document object from scratch, starting with document.implementation.createDocument() and then using jquery's append() method to add the elements. But it's not appending: var myDoc = document.implementation.createDocument("", 'stuff', null); $("stuff",myDoc).attr("test","tested"); $("stuff",myDoc).append("<test>A</test>"); $("<test>B</test>").appendTo("stuff",soapEnv); var s = new XMLSerializer(); alert(s.serializeToString(soapEnv)); This should output: <stuff test="tested"> <test>A</test> <test>B</test> </stuff> But instead it outputs: <stuff test="tested" /> So the selector seems to be working, just not the method. My only guess is the method doesn't account for the fact that elements are empty (<stuff />) until they have children. But that's just a guess.

• N Tiers with SubSonic 3, Dirty Columns collection is alwayes empty on update

  Hello guys here is what i am doing, and not working for me. I have a DAL generated with SubSonic 3 ActiveRecord template, i have a service layer (business layer if you well) that have mixture of facade and some validation. say i have a method on the Service layer like public void UpdateClient(Client client); in my GUI i create a Client object fill it with some data with ID and pass it to the service method and this never worked, the dirty columns collection (that track which columns are altered in order to use more efficant update statment) is alwayes empty. if i tried to get the object from database inside my GUI then pass it to the service method it's not working either. the only scenario i find working is if i query the object from the database and call Update() on the same context all inside my GUI and this defeats the whole service layer i've created. however for insert and delete everything working fine, i wonder if this have to do something with object tracking but what i know is SubSonic don't do that. please advice. thanks.
