  • How to send an array of complex type in PHP using Soap_Client?

    - by xaguilars
    Hello I want to know how to send this array of complex data to a SOAP server (that uses .NET / IIS). <xs:complexType name="SampleStruct"> <xs:sequence> <xs:element name="title" type="xs:string"/> <xs:element name="description" type="xs:string"/> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType> <xs:complexType name="SampleStruct_Array"> <xs:complexContent> <xs:restriction base="soapenc:Array"> <xs:sequence/> <xs:attribute ref="soapenc:arrayType" n1:arrayType="ns1:SampleStruct[]"/> </xs:restriction> </xs:complexContent> </xs:complexType> Would this code be ok? : $data1 = new SampleStruct(); $data1->title="Hello world"; $data1->description="This is a sample description."; $data2 = new SampleStruct(); $data2->title="Hello world 2"; $data2->description="This is a sample description 2."; $client->__soapCall("sampleFunction", array( new SoapParam(new SoapVar(array($data1, $data2) , SOAP_ENC_ARRAY, "SampleStruct_Array", "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"), "theSampleFunctionParamName") )); Am I doing it ok? I'm not very familiar with Web services... Thank you

  • PHP GD - How can I modify my Thumbnail Creator to crop portrait images from the center?

    - by frank
    Here is my current code: $image = 'img.jpg'; $source = imagecreatefromjpeg($image); list($origWidth, $origHeight) = getimagesize($image); $imgH = 75; $imgW = $origWidth / $origHeight * $imgH; $thumb = imagecreatetruecolor($imgW, $imgH); imagecopyresampled($thumb, $source, 0, 0, 0, 0, $imgW, $imgH, $origWidth, $origHeight); This allows me to output an image with a fixed height of 75 pixels. What I would like to do is have a constant image size of 99x75 pixels. Portrait images that don't fit into this will be cropped from the center (so the center of the original remains the center of the thumbnail - if that makes sense). How can I do this?

  • php simplexmlelement - I can access most properties (except the one with a dash?)

    - by Matthew Steiner
    So I run some code like this: $quote = simplexml_load_string($xml); $quote = $quote->Stock; echo 'Name: '; echo $quote->Name; echo '<br>'; echo 'Sybmol: '; echo $quote->Symbol; echo '<br>'; echo 'Last Price: '; echo $quote->Last; echo '<br>'; echo 'Earnings To Price Ratio: '; echo $quote->P-E; echo '<br>'; I know that the second to last line ($quote-P-E) is incorrect - I don't think you can use dashes like that. But for some reason I can't figure out how to access that property. The weird thing is that's how it's written if I var_dump($quote) (It's towards the end): object(SimpleXMLElement)#17 (16) { ["Symbol"]=> string(4) "AAPL" ["Last"]=> string(6) "271.87" ["Date"]=> string(9) "6/17/2010" ["Time"]=> string(6) "3:59pm" ["Change"]=> string(5) "+4.62" ["Open"]=> string(6) "270.72" ["High"]=> string(6) "272.90" ["Low"]=> string(6) "269.50" ["Volume"]=> string(8) "31195032" ["MktCap"]=> string(6) "247.4B" ["PreviousClose"]=> string(6) "267.25" ["PercentageChange"]=> string(6) "+1.73%" ["AnnRange"]=> string(15) "132.88 - 272.90" ["Earns"]=> string(6) "11.796" ["P-E"]=> string(5) "22.66" ["Name"]=> string(10) "Apple Inc." } How should I be accessing this attribute/property?

  • Is Horde an acceptable framework for PHP groupware development?

    - by Glenn
    I'm working on this project and the customer wants it to integrate with a groupware package including bulk email, calendars, and task lists. He has heard about Horde and Horde GroupWare and is interested in using that. Do you have any developer related experience with Horde? If so, then what were your findings? Did you find it to be stable? What about the framework/API? Was it easy to integrate with?

  • why libxml2 quotes starting double slash in CDATA with javascript

    - by Vincenzo
    This is my code: <?php $data = <<<EOL <?xml version="1.0"?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html> <script type="text/javascript"> //<![CDATA[ var a = 123; // JS code //]]> </script> </html> EOL; $dom = new DOMDocument(); $dom->preserveWhiteSpace = false; $dom->formatOutput = false; $dom->loadXml($data); echo '<pre>' . htmlspecialchars($dom->saveXML()) . '</pre>'; This is result: <?xml version="1.0"?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <script type="text/javascript"><![CDATA[ //]]><![CDATA[ var a = 123; // JS code //]]><![CDATA[ ]]></script></html> If and when I remove the DOCTYPE notation from XML document, CDATA works properly and leading/trailing double slash is not turned into CDATA. What is the problem here? Bug in libxml2? PHP version is 5.2.13 on Linux. Thanks.

  • calculated column or stored procedure or just php function needed ?

    - by mcgrailm
    I have an order table in MySQL database, having a field/column which stores the date timestamp of when the order was placed. I need to calculate when the order must be shipped. I could probably figure out how to write a function to calculate the ship date and call that when ever needed but I think, not sure it may make more sense to have the shipdate as a calculated column. That being said, I have never used a stored procedure or created a calculated field. The later I think would be best but again not sure. I used to make calculated field all the time in FMP but I've gotten away from that program.

  • Using include() to load different page content acts differently locally vs hosted

    - by hookedonwinter
    I have a live site that includes different php files depending on what page the user is trying to access. The header and footer are the same, but in the file, if the user requests filename1.php vs filename2.php, a different php is loaded into the content of the page. Basic CMS stuff. On the live site, it works fine. I just set up a local dev environment, and it doesn't work. The file that is supposed to load into the middle of the page instead is the only file loaded. I'm not saying this well. Here's an example: How it works live: <html> <head> Stuff </head> <body> More stuff <? include( 'some_file.php' ); ?> </body> </html> How it works locally: <? include( 'some_file.php' ); ?> Just that file loads, no other content. Any thoughts on why that one page is loading, but not the surrounding content? If I'm not explaining this well, please let me know.

  • Why when i rotate the image black borders appear? PHP GD

    - by EAGhost
    This code generates two images using GD and rotates one of them. When I rotate the image black borders begin to appear. Anyone have an idea of how to resolve this? imagefilledrectangle($im, 0, 0, 300, 400, $black); imagefilledrectangle($im, 1, 1, 298, 398, $grey); imagefilledrectangle($im, 49, 69, 251, 271, $black); imagefilledrectangle($im, 50, 70, 250, 270, $white); imagefttext($im, 13, 0, 90, 30, $black, $font_file, "Wind Direcction"); $source=imagecreatetruecolor(100, 100); imagefilledrectangle($source, 0, 0, 100, 100, $white); $values = array( 20, 30, // Point 1 (x, y) 50, 0, 80, 30, 65, 30, 65, 100, 35, 100, 35, 30 // Point 7 (x, y) ); imagefilledpolygon($source, $values, 7, $black1); $asd=imagerotate($source, $rotate, 0); imagecolortransparent($asd, $black); imageantialias($asd, true); $insert_x = imagesx($asd); $insert_y = imagesy($asd); if($rotate==0 || $rotate==90 || $rotate==180 || $rotate==270){ imagecopymerge ( $im , $asd , 100 , 130 , 0 , 0 , $insert_x , $insert_y , 100 ); } if($rotate==45 || $rotate==135 || $rotate==225 || $rotate==315){ imagecopymerge ( $im , $asd , 85 , 110 , 0 , 0 , $insert_x , $insert_y , 100 ); } imageantialias($im, true); header('Content-Type: image/png'); imagepng($im); imagedestroy($im); ?

  • PHP: Is there an elegant way to foreach through multiple items (groups) at a time?

    - by acheong87
    Given an array of N items: $arr = array('a', 'b', 'c', 'd', 'e', 'f'); What's the most elegant way to loop through in groups of M items (assuming N is divisible by M)? I tried foreach (array_chunk($arr, 2) as list($first, $second)) { // do stuff with $first and $second } but this resulted in a syntax error. In other words, I want to emulate what in Tcl would look like this: set arr [a b c d e f] foreach {first second} $arr { // do stuff with $first and $second } For now I've resorted to the obvious measure: foreach (array_chunk($arr, 2) as $group) { $first = $group[0]; $second = $group[1]; // do stuff with $first and $second } But I'm hoping someone has a more elegant method...

  • PHP DOMElement::getElementsByTagName - Anyway to get just the immediate matching children?

    - by rr
    Hi All, is there a way to retrieve only the immediate children found by a call to DOMElement::getElementsByTagName? For example, I have an XML document that has a category element. That category element has sub category elements (which have the same structure), like: <category> <id>1</id> <name>Top Level Category Name</name> <subCategory> <id>2</id> <name>Sub Category Name</name> </subCategory> ... </category> If I have a DOMElement representing the top level category, $topLevelCategoryElement->getElementsByTagName('id'); will return a list with the nodes for all 'id' elements, where I want just the one from the top level. Any way to do this outside of using XPath?

  • Testing PayPal certificate on a different domain

    - by PHP thinker
    I have a PP-enabled site that needs to be tested. I've already tested it with Sandbox credentials and it works ok. The next step is to test it with live PayPal credentials on test server. Here I hit a wall, because using real credentials from liveserver.com on test.liveserver.com gives me error of "malformed url" (which as I read stands for "invalid credentials"). And here is the question: are PayPal credentials domain-bound? Can I get error message because I am using live api credentials on a subdomain(different domain)?

  • Is it possible to use array_shift() in PHP and get the key?

    - by alex
    I have a list of files in an array where the filename is the key and the value is the last modified date in seconds. They are sorted from oldest to newest. The files are glob()'d in, and then sorted this way using asort($fileNameToLastModified, SORT_NUMERIC); I use array_shift() to get the oldest file. Unfortunately, it seems to be giving me the value, and there doesn't seem to be a way to get the key. Would the only way to do that be something like this? $keys = array_keys($fileNameToLastModified); $oldest = array_shift($keys); array_shift($fileNameToLastModified); // to manually chop the first array member off too. Or is there a built in? Thanks
