• Problem facing fetching contacts from yahoo using open Social API

  Hello there I was trying to get contact list from yahoo for POC. It was documented that the there is need to send a GET request to the URL with the user's ID and returns the contact list in XML format. I tried the same but facing the authentication message 401 from browser, normal console java application and from jsp too I guess I must try it using the open social API package. Can anybody please guide or suggest the solution for this problem if possible please post any code sample for any similar application in JAVA as I found most samples are unclear and in JSON only. • Problems Executing iPhone "GenericKeychain" Example

  I can't get apple's "GenericKeychain" example to run. I have replaced all 5 occurrences, as mentioned in the readme file, of "YOUR_APP_ID_HERE.com.yourcompany" with my own string: se.[company name].[project name].demo. The compilation goes fine but when trying to run it on the phone, an error saying "The executable was signed with invalid entitlements" appears. And yes, I have an ad hoc provisioning profile installed. I've tried to add "Entitlements.plist" with "get-task-allow" checked but with the same result. Has anyone been able to run the example?   I need to check whether the request will return a 500 Server Internal Error or not (so getting the error is expected). I'm doing this: HttpWebRequest request = WebRequest.Create(url) as HttpWebRequest; request.Method = "GET"; HttpWebResponse response = request.GetResponse() as HttpWebResponse; if (response.StatusCode == HttpStatusCode.OK) return true; else return false; But when I get the 500 Internal Server Error, a WebException is thrown, and I don't want to depend on it to control the application flow - how can this be done?

• saving the videos and photos in iPhone Simultor 4.0

  Hi All, From 4.0 apple has extended their api support to access the videos and photos from the phone. I am using only iPhone 4.0 simulator to test my application. When I try to save the video as apple has mentioned in their api docs, its giving the error something like "Error Saving the Asset". The way I try to store the video is as follows : ALAssetsLibraryWriteVideoCompletionBlock _videoCompblock = ^(NSURL *assetURL, NSError *error){ if(assetURL) { NSLog(@"Video AssetUrl : %@", [assetURL absoluteString]); } else if(error) { NSLog(@"The Error occured : %@", [error localizedDescription]); } }; BOOL isSupported = [library deoAtPathIsCompatibleWithSavedPhotosAlbum:videoFileUrl]; if(isSupported) { [library writeVideoAtPathToSavedPhotosAlbum:videoFileUrl completionBlock:_videoCompblock]; } The above methods should print the url of the video on successful saving of the video file.   I'm trying to parse a webpage using Java with URLConnection. I try to set up the user-agent like this: java.net.URLConnection c = url.openConnection(); c.setRequestProperty("User-Agent", "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.2.2) Gecko/20100316 Firefox/3.6.2"); But the resulting user agent is the one I specify, with "Java/1.5.0_19" appended to the end. Is there a way to truly set the user agent without this addition?

  Hi everyone, i'm trying to realize non-editable QTableView with widgets in cells that should contain clickable listed text. With following code i'm setting widget in definite cell: view = QTableView() label = QLabel( <some html text> ) ... view.setIndexWidget(index, label) I used html to make label's text clickable, but links became blue with underline and moreover by clicking on it with right mouse button appears popup menu with "Copy Link Locaion" option, where i wanted to place some hidden information instead of url and of course do not let user see this info. I'm looking for light-weight widget, i thought that insertion of QGraphicsView in each cell will lead to big computer loads, but can't think of any other solution. • Rails choking on the content of this request because of protect_from_forgery

  I'm trying to simply test my RESTful API with cURL. Using the following invocation: curl -d "name=jimmy" -H "Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded" http://127.0.0.1:3000/people.xml -i Rails is dying though: ActionController::InvalidAuthenticityToken (ActionController::InvalidAuthenticityToken): :8:in `synchronize' Looks like it's running this through a protect_from_forgery filter. I thought protect_from_forgery is excluded for non-HTML HTTP POST/PUT/DELETE type requests? This is clearly targeting the XML format. If I pass actual XML content, it works. But my users will be submitting POST data as URL encoded parameters. I know all the various ways I can disable protect_from_forgery but what's the proper way of handling this? I want to leave it on so that when I do have HTML based forms and handle format.html, I don't forget to re-enable it for then. I want users to be able to make HTTP POST requests to my XML-based API though and not get bombarded with this.

  i do all instruction for use prettyPhoto in https://github.com/hiq5/prettyphoto-rails. and i do this to show a single photo( not gallery ) =link_to image_tag(photo.photo_url(:thumb).to_s, :alt => photo.name ,:class => "img-polaroid"), photo.photo_url, :rel => 'prettyPhoto' but still redirect to photo url and show photo, and doesn't use jQuery to show it on the current page. i check it with chrome development tools, there isn't any error. i use haml to generate views (instead erb), and carrierwave to upload photos. by the way I use twitter bootstrap. any help is appreciated.

  Hi, I've always used Spring's dependency injection to get datasource objects and use them in my DAOs, but now, I have to write an app without that. Is there a way to specify which sequence Django has to use for an AutoField? In the documentation I read I was not able to find an answer.

• Removing http301 redirect from client's cache

  Hi, I have a server/client architecture where the client hits the ASP.NET server's service at a certain host name, IP address, and port. Without thinking, I logged on to the server and set up permanent HTTP301 redirection through IIS from that service to another URL that the machine handles via IIS (same IP and port), mistakenly thinking it was another site that is hosted there. When the client hit the server at the old host name, it cached the permanent redirect. Now, even though I have removed the redirection, the client no longer uses the old address. How can I clear the client's cache so that it no longer stores the redirect? I have read about how permanent HTTP301 can be, but in this case, it should be possible to reset a single client's knowledge of the incorrectly-learned host name. Any ideas?

• Using Twitter OAuth for automatic status update

  I want my website to automatically post status updates to a particular twitter account using OAuth in PHP. I test this using a URL www.mysite.com/update_status but it asks me for "user name" and "password", which is fine when I am testing it. But my website will not be able to insert this user name and password before posting the status update. So the question is how can a website which is in the server, automatically post a status update to an account without user filling out the user name and password. Is there any way to bypass this? I tried saving oAuth tokens, but it's not working. Thank you for your answer in advance!

• jQuery won't parse my JSON from AJAX query

  Hi, I'm having difficulty parsing some JSON data returned from my server using jQuery.ajax() To perform the AJAX I'm using: $.ajax({ url: myUrl, cache: false, dataType: "json", success: function(data){ ... }, error: function(e, xhr){ ... } }); And if I return an array of items then it works fine: [ { title: "One", key: "1" }, { title: "Two", key: "2" } ] The success function is called and receives the correct object. However, when I'm trying to return a single object: { title: "One", key: "1" } The error function is called and xhr contains 'parsererror'. I've tried wrapping the JSON in parenthesis on the server before sending it down the wire, but it makes no difference. Yet if I paste the content into a string in Javascript and then use the eval() function, it evaluates it perfectly. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Anthony

• ExpressionEngine: {exp:query} producing error

  Hi. I have this code in place to pull some relation data from the database based on a ID of another weblog entry. The relationship custom field would not work for my situation. I have tested the SQL with MySQL and get no errors. But I get an error when I pull up the page. {exp:query sql="SELECT entry_id,field_id_16,field_id_19 FROM exp_weblog_data WHERE field_id_15='2' AND weblog_id='6'"} Also, I want to populate the “field_id_15” from the url. I have tried using the “segment_*” tag, but nothing. Maybe it is something else. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Josh

  Hi, I tried to make an AJAX call using jQuery, the data has special characters, e.g {'data':'<p>test</p>'}. It seems failed to pass this data in the first place. It will work if i just pass {'data':'test'}. encodeURIComponent and JSON.stringify failed here due to the special character < > /. Could anyone please help with it? • Possible to register Selenium RC's with the Hudson Selenium Grid Hub w/o the RC's being slaves in th

  I am trying to get Hudson to run my ruby based selenium tests. I have installed the Selenium Grid plugin, but I don't want to have the RC's running as slaves in a Hudson cluster. The reason for this is I don't want to waste the next six years of my life trying to configure each of my projects in various Windows environments. Hudson currently pulls each project from Github and builds it just fine. With a regular Selenium Grid setup, I am able to edit the grid_configuration.yml file to represent the various environments I wish to tests against, then pass environment variables to the rake task that runs the test i.e. which browser/platfom to run on and the URL of the application under test -- usually a port on the hub machine running in a specific environment. In this way, the machines on which the RC's run don't need to know anything about the source code of my apps, they just need to have selenium-grid installed and have registered with the hub. Is there a way of elegantly emulating this with Hudson?

  our client needs to shortcuts to particular pages We need to redirect non existent urls like http://site.com/promotion1 to the actual URL similar to http://site.com/promotions/promotion1/tabid/799/language/en-AU/Default.aspx ... I've sent a list of appropriate DNN modules to our client but it may take them forever to get back to me. In the mean time they still submitting requests to us to create redirects for them. if there's no cost involved then i wont have to wait for them to get back to me. so I'm looking for a Quick and free way to enable the clients to set these up on this own. • CSS for https urls

  Hello, looking for some help with images referenced within the stylesheet. I have no problems with these from non secure locations within the site but only from https. The stylesheet loads fine and displays everything correctly except for the images. example: body { margin: 0; padding: 0; background: url(/img/background_tile.gif) top left repeat-x; text-align: center; background-color: #fff; } All my css files and other image paths inside the code use relative urls to images. How can I make sure they all work fine without hard coding my image paths with https or http? I want the code to work fine with http and https. Thanks
