  • Are there any .net classes/functions that are optimized for multiple cores?

    I know that the developer is supposed to do this himself. But seeing how we are getting cpu's with more and more cores and there are still many developers who do not use multithreading, if we have this functionality built in, it could increase performance dramatically in some scenarios. One particular example where this could be quite useful is in image processing. I doubt that the built in GDI+ classes are multithreaded.

    i have a simple form and when user enters all the information and hits the submit botton than a panel should open just a width of 200px and height of 100px inside the same window. which should have two fields one is captcha image and a text box and a check botton and if captcha code is right than panel should automatically close and redirect to another page just like facebook . all the details of the panel is saved on another php file.

  • How do I make a form transparent while keeping the controls fully visible?

    I would like to have a form in which the controls on the form are fully visible but the form itself is invisible. If I change the form's Opacity, this makes both the form and the controls on it semi-transparent, so this doesn't work. I can't do this by setting the form's TransparencyKey, since I have a PictureBox on the form. If the image in the PictureBox happens to contain pixels that match the TransparencyKey, they appear as openings in the form, which I don't want.

    Hi all, How do I programatically upload an XSLT file to an SSRS server database? I would like exactly the same functionality as the 'Upload File', preferably using the 'rs' command. I have tried rs.CreateResource, but it doesn't seem to work for XML/XSLT files (though it works for Excel and image files) I understand that manipulating the SSRS db is not supported. Thanks

    I'm trying to make a basic application that displays an image from the camera, but I when I try to load the .jpg in from the sdcard with BitmapFactory.decodeFile, it returns null. It doesn't give an out of memory error which I find strange, but the exact same code works fine on smaller images. How does the generic gallery display huge pictures from the camera with so little memory?

  • NetworkOnMainThreadException while using AsyncTask

    Im making an app that uses the internet to retrive information. I get an NetworkOnMainThreadException as i tried to run it on 3.0 and above and have therefore tried to set it up using AsyncTask, but it still gives the exception and i don't know what is wrong. Oddly enough i read on this thread Android NetworkOnMainThreadException inside of AsyncTask that if you just removes the android:targetSdkVersion="10" statement from the manifest file it will be able to run. This works but i don't find it as the right solution to solve the problem this way. So if anyone can tell me what im doing wrong with the AsyncTask i will really appriciate it. Also if there is anybody that knows why removing the statement in the manifest makes it work, im really interested in that also.     I was trying to implement an image panner I found here Chrome renders the same document differently depending on the extension of the file requested. I have created a test case, where it works when the file it's not named as test.xhtml You can download the test case from here Does anybody know why or how to solve it? I want my files to be .xhtml In IE and FF it works fine.
