  • Does O2Micro Oz776 Smartcard reader support SLE5528 cards?

    Well, the title seems indicating I'm a lazy guy but it's not the truth... I'm messing with this weird circumstance a whole day. My laptop is a Dell Latitude D630 which has a Oz776 (usb idVendor == 0x0b97, idProduct == 0x7772) smartcard reader, but I'm not sure if it is functioning well. It can successfully recognize my Gemplus GPK4000 smartcard and my SIM card, but not SLE5528. When inserted any PVC card with no chip or AT24C01 card, it would not choke but report immediate PowerUp failure. When I tried it on Windows(Windows 7, "runas other user", smartcard login), it chokes too while PVC cards and AT24C01 report immediate failure.

  • Undo/Redo Support for Table Changes in WPF RichTextBox

    As part of an editor project, I need to add functionality to the WPF RichTextBox control to allow the user to perform operations on a table. One of those operations is to apply a new width value to one or more columns of the table. I have a function that is applying a new Width value to the TableColumn objects in question, and the table is resizing itself nicely. However, I've noticed that the column-width change operation does not seem to be added to the undo stack. In other words, if a user types something, then changes a column width, then selects undo, the RichTextBox control undoes the user's typing. Undo and redo don't seem to be picking up the property change on the TableColumn object. Is there some way to make this operation occur in a way that it actually is undoable/redoable?

    Hello, I have created a real simple templated UserControl using the following tutorial: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/36574bf6(VS.80).aspx I can now add this control to my mvc 2.0 application using: <components:Box BoxType="Help" Title="Content Title" runat="server"> <Content> <%: Html.TextBox("test") %> This is my awesome content!<br /> <b>Test</b> </Content> </components:Box> However, when I go to the designer, I get an exception: Type 'System.Web.UI.UserControl' does not have a public property named 'Content'. How can I fix this? I don't even need to use the drag-and-drop designer, just rendering the control will do fine. Thanks!

  • Client-side framework for web-app with good audio support

    I'm trying to create a client-side web app that generates music procedurally using some user-input parameters, so I'm looking for a framework (e.g. Flash, Silverlight etc.) that has the capability to play audio at a specified pitch. Whether it is playing a WAV/MP3 file, using MIDI output, or just playing beeps doesn't really matter -- I just need something that will enable me to generate arbitrary music client-side. I've done a bit of searching and it appears that Flash might have the ability to change pitch with the help of a third-part plugin, but I couldn't find anything similar for Silverlight. I can go a try all them out manually if need be, but I thought I'd ask here first just in case anyone had tried something like this before. Thanks in advance

I would like to achieve the same result that I get from using GroundOverlay in KML files, such as <GroundOverlay> <name>myimage</name> <Icon> <href>myimage.png</href> <viewBoundScale>0.75</viewBoundScale> </Icon> <LatLonBox> <north>75.6088</north> <south>5.0121</south> <east>182.2805</east> <west>120.6795</west> </LatLonBox> </GroundOverlay> The above will ensure that the 4 corners of my image stay anchored to the 4 lat/long points listed, regardless of scrolling, zooming etc.. Is there a way to accomplish this using the google api/maps provided for android?

I guess I will need to download a language pack for this but will it allow word-by-word conversion from English to Portuguese ? Grammatically correct sentences are not currently my concern.     I installed mercurial-server on one of my machines, cloned my project there, it has 3 subrepos, and when I try to clone it back to another location I get an error: remote: mercurial-server: Cannot create repo under existing repo abort: no suitable response from remote hg! So I'm starting to think that mercurial-server doesn't handle subrepo. Any clue?

    I have read many articles about the battle between natural versus surrogate primary keys. I agree in the use of surrogate keys to identify records of tables whose contents are created by the user. But in the case of supporting tables what should I use? For example, in a hypothetical table "orderStates". If you use a natural key would have the following data: TABLE ORDERSTATES {ID: "NEW", NAME: "New"} {ID: "MANAGEMENT" NAME: "Management"} {ID: "SHIPPED" NAME: "Shipped"} If I use a surrogate key would have the following data: TABLE ORDERSTATES {ID: 1 CODE: "NEW", NAME: "New"} {ID: 2 CODE: "MANAGEMENT" NAME: "Management"} {ID: 3 CODE: "SHIPPED" NAME: "Shipped"} Now let's take an example: a user enters a new order. In the case in which use natural keys, in the code I can write this: newOrder.StateOrderId = "NEW"; With the surrogate keys instead every time I have an additional step. stateOrderId_NEW = .... I retrieve the id corresponding to the recod code "NEW" newOrder.StateOrderId = stateOrderId_NEW; The same will happen every time I have to move the order in a new status. So, in this case, what are the reason to chose one key type vs the other one?

    I like the Unit test runner in ReSharper 4.5, and would like to use it with my MSTest tests, but one thing annoys me: In some of our solutions, we have set up some Deployment Items in the .testrunconfig file. The ReSharper Unit Test runner does not seem to respect this, so I get errors when trying to run the unit tests from ReSharper. Is there any workraound for this ? Update: citizenmatt's answer was correct, the option to use a .testrunconfig with ReSharper exists in the Options dialog of ReSharper. You have to select the unit test provider on the list, then the controls to do that appears. (That was not obvious or discoverable, at least not for me ;-)

    So I'm looking into urllib3 because it has connection pooling and is thread safe (so performance is better, especially for crawling), but the documentation is... minimal to say the least. urllib2 has build_opener so something like: #!/usr/bin/python import cookielib, urllib2 cj = cookielib.CookieJar() opener = urllib2.build_opener(urllib2.HTTPCookieProcessor(cj)) r = opener.open("http://example.com/") But urllib3 has no build_opener method, so the only way I have figured out so far is to manually put it in the header: #!/usr/bin/python import urllib3 http_pool = urllib3.connection_from_url("http://example.com") myheaders = {'Cookie':'some cookie data'} r = http_pool.get_url("http://example.org/", headers=myheaders) But I am hoping there is a better way and that one of you can tell me what it is.   • Why does DataInputStream not support integers?

    I need to read in a list of numbers from a file, none of which are larger than 32767. Originally I was going to use the Scanner class to pull in the data, then I read about DataInputStream. This would work well for me, except that according to the API, it supports all primitive variables EXCEPT ints! Listed are longs, shorts, bytes, chars, booleans, ect, but no ints. I have no need for double precision from the incoming data. Is this a deliberate or unintentional oversight?
