  • Focus on textbox based on URL.

    - by Cameron
    I have two forms on one page and want to have the input boxes focused based on the URL. So for example: domain.com/Default.aspx#login and domain.com/Default.aspx#register and the javascript I have this: window.document.getElementById('<%=txtUserName.ClientID %>').focus(); window.document.getElementById('<%=txtEmail.ClientID %>').focus(); it might be better if the urls are Default.aspx?action=login actually (not sure if this effects the way in which it would work)

  • Error handling in the RequestHandler without embedding in URI

    - by hyn
    When a user sends a filled form, I want to print an error message in case there is an input error. One of the GAE sample codes does this by embedding the error message in the URI. Inside the form handler (get): self.redirect('/compose?error_message=%s' % message) and in the handler (get) of redirected URI, gets the message from request: values = { 'error_message': self.request.get('error_message'), ... Is there a way to accomplish the same without embedding the message in the URI?

  • Looping through all attributes of a XML element in XSLT

    - by TheGNUGuy
    Hey everyone, I am trying to use <xsl:for-each select="@*"> to grab all the attributes of a given element but when i do that my <xsl:choose> statement doesn't execute. Here is the element that I'm working with: <textBox id="Airfare" value="" label="text 1"/> Here is the XSLT template I'm using: <xsl:template match="textBox"> <div> <xsl:choose> <xsl:when test="@label"> <xsl:value-of select="@label"/> </xsl:when> <xsl:otherwise> <xsl:text>No Label Defined</xsl:text> </xsl:otherwise> </xsl:choose> <xsl:element name="input"> <xsl:attribute name="type">text</xsl:attribute> <xsl:for-each select="@*"> <xsl:choose> <xsl:when test="@id"> <xsl:attribute name="name">form_<xsl:value-of select="@id"/></xsl:attribute> <xsl:attribute name="id">form_<xsl:value-of select="@id"/></xsl:attribute> </xsl:when> <xsl:when test="@label"> </xsl:when> <xsl:otherwise> <xsl:copy-of select="current()"/> </xsl:otherwise> </xsl:choose> </xsl:for-each> </xsl:element> </div> And when I generate the HTML using PHP I get this: <div>text 1<input type="text" id="Airfare" value="" label="text 1"></div> As you can see it didn't add form_ to the id attribute it didn't generate a name attribute and it didn't skip over the label attribute. Thanks for your help!

  • hexdump confusion

    - by zedoo
    I am playing with the unix hexdump utility. My input file is UTF-8 encoded, containing a single character ñ, which is C3 B1 in hexadecimal UTF-8. hexdump test.txt 0000000 b1c3 0000002 Huh? This shows B1 C3 - the inverse of what I expected! Can someone explain? For getting the expected output I do: hexdump -C test.txt 00000000 c3 b1 |..| 00000002 I was thinking I understand encoding systems..

  • Web application starter kit

    - by Steve Robillard
    I am looking for a site that allows you to input a project name, choose a doctype, a js library etc. and then generates the directory structure and files to start a web project. I know about project deploy, but it is no longer maintained. There was a new one that was created within the last 2 or 3 months, but for the life of me I can't find it either through Google nor my delicious bookmarks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Steve

  • Java app makes screen display unresponsive after 10 minutes of user idle time

    - by Ross
    I've written a Java app that allows users to script mouse/keyboard input (JMacro, link not important, only for the curious). I personally use the application to automate character actions in an online game overnight while I sleep. Unfortunately, I keep coming back to the computer in the morning to find it unresponsive. Upon further testing, I'm finding that my application causes the computer to become unresponsive after about 10 minutes of user idle time (even if the application itself it simulating user activity). I can't seem to pin-point the issue, so I'm hoping somebody else might have a suggestion of where to look or what might be causing the issue. The relevant symptoms and characteristics: Unresponsiveness occurs after user is idle for 10 minutes User can still move the mouse pointer around the screen Everything but the mouse appears frozen... mouse clicks have no effect and no applications update their displays, including the Windows 7 desktop I left the task manager up along the with the app overnight so I could see the last task manager image before the screen freezes... the Java app is at normal CPU/Memory usage and total CPU usage is only ~1% After moving the mouse (in other words, the user comes back from being idle), the screen image starts updating again within 30 minutes (this is very hit and miss... sometimes 10 minutes, sometimes no results after two hours) User can CTRL-ALT-DEL to get to Windows 7's CTRL-ALT-DEL screen (after a 30 second pause). User is still able to move mouse pointer, but clicking any of the button options causes the screen to appear to freeze again On some very rare occasions, the system never freezes, and I come back to it in the morning with full responsiveness The Java app automatically stops input scripting in the middle of the night, so Windows 7 detects "real" idleness and turns the monitors into Standby mode... which they successfully come out of upon manually moving the mouse in the morning when I wake up, even though the desktop display still appears frozen Given the symptoms and characteristics of the issue, it's as if the Java app is causing the desktop display of the logged in user to stop updating, including any running applications. Programming concepts and Java packages used: Multi-threading Standard out and err are rerouted to a javax.swing.JTextArea The application uses a Swing GUI awt.Robot (very heavily used) awt.PointerInfo awt.MouseInfo System Specs: Windows 7 Professional Java 1.6.0 u17 In conclusion, I should stress that I'm not looking for any specific solutions, as I'm not asking a very specific question. I'm just wondering if anybody has run into a similar problem when using the Java libraries that I'm using. I would also gladly appreciate any suggestions for things to try to attempt to further pinpoint what is causing my problem. Thanks! Ross PS, I'll post an update/answer if I manage to stumble across anything else while I continue to debug this.
