  • Show AJAX content after images have loaded

    - by Ben4Himv
    I am developing my own lightbox kind of jquery plugin. Everything works but I want to hide the loaded content until the images have loaded in the browser from the AJAX call. I found a similar post and I am using the following script but the setTimeout function is what reveals the content and not the .load function. Am I trying to achieve the impossible? $.ajax({ url: 'meet/'+ pLoad + '.html', success: function(data) { var imageCount = $(data).filter('img').length; var imagesLoaded = 0; $(data).hide() .appendTo('#zoom_inner') .filter('img') .load( function() { ++imagesLoaded; if (imagesLoaded >= imageCount) { $('#zoom_inner').children().show(); } }); setTimeout( function() { $('#zoom_inner').children().show() }, 5000 ); } });

  • Search box inside a div. Django

    - by Juliette Dupuis
    In my django app I display a list of elements (friends name) thanks to a loop: <div> {% for friend in group %} <p>{{ friend.name }} <p> {% endfor %} </div> I would like to create a search box on the top of my list in order to be able to find only the friends the user wants. I would like the search bar does not need to click to send the request (an example is the Airtime searchbox on top of the facebook friends list). I have absolutely no idea on how to do that, and I'm looking for hints or tips to start. Thank you very much for your help.

  • I want to style within JS

    - by 422
    Issue I have is I can use tags, but I would like to style particular words. Adding a class doesnt work, is it because I am within script dom ? Example: var config = [ { "name" : "tour_1", "bgcolor" : "black", "color" : "white", "position" : "BR", "text" : "Customize your user profile, it's easy. This is your shop window on <strong>here</strong> and <strong>there</strong>", "time" : 4000 } Instead of strong, I would like to apply class, like <p class="orange"> But it wont have it, any suggestions... please

  • How to create animated sliding windows/tabs menu?

    - by Forte
    I have created navigation menu in YUI 2.8 as below : I have also animated tabs using CSS transitions. CSS transitions are not widely supported by browsers and my animations are not working in Opera, IE etc. Since i'm already using YUI 2.8 on that page, can somebody tell me how do i animate those tabs? When i click on any tab, it should expand in vertical dimension smoothly (animated). Below are the properties of tabs which are going to change when i select any tab (Below properties of tabs should be animated) : Paddings Margins Background-Color Borders Please note in above image : There is little space left on right side in case #1 when 1st tab is selected. In case #2 and case #3 there is space left on left as well as right side. In case #4, there is some space left on left side when last tab is selected.

  • creating a 2 column table dynamically using jquery

    - by user1908568
    I am trying to generate a table dynamically using ajax call. To simplify things i have just added my code to js fiddle here - http://jsfiddle.net/5yLrE/81/ As you click on the button "HI" first two columns are created properly.. but some how as the td length reaches 2 . its not creating another row. The reason is that when i do find on the table elements its actually retrieving the children table elements. Can some one pls help. I want a two column table.. Thank you. sample code: var tr = $("#maintable tbody tr:first"); if(!tr.length || tr.find("td:first").length >= max) { $("#maintable").append("<tr>"); } if(count==0) { $("#maintable tr:last").append("<td>hi"+content+"</td>"); }

  • FLIR: avoiding ugly page loads

    - by justinbach
    I'm building a site that makes extensive use of FLIR to allow the use of non-websafe fonts. However, pageloads are an ugly process, as first the HTML text version of each field loads and then (a few hundred milliseconds later) it's replaced by its FLIR image counterpart. Is there any way to avoid this sort of thing? I've got a client presentation in a few hours and I know it'll raise eyebrows. My situation is sort of related to this question which is in regards to sIFR, not FLIR. Any ideas? Thanks, Justin
