  • Opposite of .find()

    Is there an opposite of .find()? Where $('.myclass').except('#myid'); Would grab all elements with .myclass except the element with #myid. I know I could do $('.myclass[id=myid]') in this example, but seems like it would be helpful in other cases. Thanks

    hello whatever i append to $('click_filter1') it shows the error ... is not a function (for show(), hide(), toggle()) if i insert an alert, the alert gets executed, so the framework is init ok the element with the id exists for sure what can be the problem of this? why iam getting this error? $('click_filter1').addEvent('click', function() { $('click_filter1').show(); }.bind(this));

  • how do I disable options based on the previous selection?

    I have three drop-down menus for each sample shirt; product, colour and grade. Not all products are available in all colours and/or grades. I would like to disable the options that are not available based on the users selection. I've tried using this answer here (using a radio select). Unfortunately, I can't get it to work with an option-selected input. This is what I'm working on - quartus.ca/select-options.html Any guidance would be appreciated.

But it's always changes only latest element of array (8). Why?

    Hi, I'm using prototype and setStyle in IE6 is just messing everything up. It's throwing a big error. I've Googled it but cant find a solution.     In the example fiddle, how can I get the total number of markers displayed on the map? I'm pushing each of the markers into an array like this: markers.push(marker) And attempting to get the total number of markers like this: $('.marker-count span').html(markers.length); Unfortunately, "markers.length" is returning 0 when it should be returning at least 3.     Hi all, I have one question. I try to develop a little WYSIWYG editor. I would like create a <h1> button which allows me to generate a <h1> title (by clicking on button after text selection in <p> element). I obtain the selection with window.getSelection().... But now, I would like to put my append("<h1>my text selected</h1>") just before the <p>. It’s my problem, because my <p> elements don’t have id or class. So do you know a means to put my append just before the <p> where my text has been selected? I don’t know if with my bad English you’ll understand me! Thanks very much for your help.
