  • keeping single-quotes in http_build_query()?

    - by user151841
    I'm wanting to use http_build_query to change an array to html tag properties. Problem is, it's changing my single-quoted values into %27. So if I have http_build_query( array("type"=>"'hidden'", ... ), '', ' ' ); I get <input type=%27hidden%27 ...> How can I get around this?

  • What is the best solution for remote desktop / visual support?

    - by SchizoDuckie
    We are currently investigating different remote-desktop support solutions to help our clients if they have any problems with our software and I would like some input on the best solutions out there. We have the following needs / wishes: Cross platform Preferrably no installation on the user-end Should penetrate firewalls and not be bothered by antivirus stuff. Should leave no residu behind after support. I know of VNC, logmeinrescue.com, dameware remote control, msn remote desktop and many others, but which one is the best?

  • Getting jQuery to recognise .change() in IE

    - by Philip Morton
    I'm using jQuery to hide and show elements when a radio button group is altered/clicked. It works fine in browsers like Firefox, but in IE 6 and 7, the action only occurs when the user then clicks somewhere else on the page. To elaborate, when you load the page, everything looks fine. In Firefox, if you click a radio button, one table row is hidden and the other one is shown immediately. However, in IE 6 and 7, you click the radio button and nothing will happen until you click somewhere on the page. Only then does IE redraw the page, hiding and showing the relevant elements. Here's the jQuery I'm using: $(document).ready(function(){ $(".hiddenOnLoad").hide(); $("#viewByOrg").change(function () { $(".visibleOnLoad").show(); $(".hiddenOnLoad").hide(); }); $("#viewByProduct").change(function () { $(".visibleOnLoad").hide(); $(".hiddenOnLoad").show(); }); }); Here's the part of the XHTML that it affects. Apologies if it's not very clean, but the whole page does validate as XHTML 1.0 Strict: <tr> <td>View by:</td> <td> <p> <input type="radio" name="viewBy" id="viewByOrg" value="organisation" checked="checked"/> Organisation </p> <p> <input type="radio" name="viewBy" id="viewByProduct" value="product"/> Product </p> </td> </tr> <tr class="visibleOnLoad"> <td>Organisation:</td> <td> <select name="organisation" id="organisation" multiple="multiple" size="10"> <option value="1">Option 1</option> <option value="2">Option 2</option> </select> </td> </tr> <tr class="hiddenOnLoad"> <td>Product:</td> <td> <select name="product" id="product" multiple="multiple" size="10"> <option value="1">Option 1</option> <option value="2">Option 2</option> </select> </td> </tr> If anyone has any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it, they would be very much appreciated!

  • How to merge multiple arrays in pairs

    - by user3688059
    I have a problem with "pairing" arrays into one (by index). Here is an example: INPUT: inputArray = [ [0, 1, 2, 3, 4], [2, 3, 5, 7, 8], [9, 6, 1] ] OUTPUT: outputArray = [ [0,2,9], [1,3,6], [2,5,1], [3,7,chooseRandom()], [4,8,chooseRandom()]] Questions: 1) How to avoid out of range problem 2) How to write chooseRandom() to choose N neighbour I'm using python but feel free to share your thoughts in any language.

  • ffmpeg async io?

    - by ronag
    Anyone know if ffmpeg does asynchronous file io? That is, the input file is read in a separate thread as to avoid io blocking the processing thread? Basically what I want to figure out is whether or not i need to do calls to "av_read_frame" inside a separate thread (to avoid blocking) or if ffmpeg alrdy handles this issue? How might I figure this out? I've tried downloading the ffmpeg source but haven't been able to find anything useful.

  • PHP Multiple form tokens

    - by Juddling
    I understand the idea of generating a form token and storing it in a session, and also putting it as a hidden input in my forms. But how could I make this work if I have pages with multiple forms, is it still safe to use the same token for each form? And I still feel weary about bots and stuff on my website, can these form tokens really safely replace CAPTCHAs?

  • GDI+ Load a jpg and save as 24bit png problem

    - by wookey
    Problem Hello all! I have this code which takes my jpg image loops through altering pixels and finally saving it as a png type. The problem is that the resulting image has a bit depth of 32 bits. I need it to be 24 bit, can any one shiny some light on the correct method of setting it? Am I along the right tracks looking at setting the pixel format to PixelFormat24bppRGB? Code static inline void Brighten(Gdiplus::Bitmap* img) { int width = img->GetWidth()/8,height = img->GetHeight(), max = (width*height),r,g,b; Gdiplus::Color pixel; for(int a = 0,x = 0, y = -1; a < max; ++a) { x = a%width; if(x == 0) ++y; img->GetPixel(x,y,&pixel); r = pixel.GetR(); g = pixel.GetG(); b = pixel.GetB(); if (r > 245) r = 245; if (g > 245) g = 245; if (b > 245) b = 245; r = 10; g = 10; b = 10; pixel = Gdiplus::Color(r,g,b); img->SetPixel(x,y,pixel);; } } ULONG_PTR m_dwToken = 0; Gdiplus::GdiplusStartupInput input; Gdiplus::GdiplusStartupOutput output; Gdiplus::GdiplusStartup( &m_dwToken, &input, &output ); USES_CONVERSION_EX; Gdiplus::ImageCodecInfo* pEncoders = static_cast< Gdiplus::ImageCodecInfo* >( _ATL_SAFE_ALLOCA(1040, _ATL_SAFE_ALLOCA_DEF_THRESHOLD)); Gdiplus::DllExports::GdipGetImageEncoders(5, 1040, pEncoders ); CLSID clsidEncoder = pEncoders[4].Clsid; Gdiplus::Bitmap img1((CT2W)L"IMG_1.JPG"); Brighten(&img1); img1.Save((CT2W)L"IMG_1_R3.PNG",&clsidEncoder,NULL); Thanks in advance!

  • fieldWithErrors not wrapping every error field

    - by Teef L
    Notice the following result when I submit blank :title and :description fields The validations are in the controller: class Question < ActiveRecord::Base validates_presence_of :title validates_presence_of :description And, the form is generated with those names: -form_for(@question) do |f| = f.error_messages = f.label :title = f.text_field :title, :size => 50, :onchange => remote_function(:url => {:action => :display_tag_suggestions}, :with => 'Form.Element.serialize(this)') #suggestions = f.label :description = f.text_area :description ... But, for some reason, only :title gets wrapped in the error div tags: <form action="/questions" class="new_question" id="new_question" method="post"> <div style="margin:0;padding:0"><input name="authenticity_token" type="hidden" value="6HQaiu1D0gBQcKw2pLeZP6Jvn0FSClPD5Sk9HwegzPg=" /></div> <div class="errorExplanation" id="errorExplanation"> <h2>2 errors prohibited this question from being saved</h2> <p>There were problems with the following fields:</p> <ul> <li>Title can't be blank</li> <li>Description can't be blank</li> </ul> </div> <label for="question_title">Title</label> <div class="fieldWithErrors"><input id="question_title" name="question[title]" onchange="new Ajax.Request('/questions/display_tag_suggestions', {asynchronous:true, evalScripts:true, parameters:Form.Element.serialize(this) + '&amp;authenticity_token=' + encodeURIComponent('6HQaiu1D0gBQcKw2pLeZP6Jvn0FSClPD5Sk9HwegzPg=')})" size="50" type="text" value="" /></div> <label for="question_description">Description</label> <textarea cols="40" id="question_description" name="question[description]" rows="20"></textarea> ... I don't think that behavior is expected. The problem most people have is that it's wrapping things with divs, which won't display properly. My problem is that fields aren't being wrapped with divs to begin with! I haven't made any (conscious) changes to how errors are handled, so I'm not sure why it's not working properly.

  • Javascript returns Nan in IE, FF ok

    - by user350184
    im very new to javascript, and writing this script to add up a shopping cart and print out subtotals and totals. it works in FF but not in IE. this function is called by onclick of one of three select options with a value of 0-25. it is in a js file called in the head. what it does is get the selected values as variables, parseint them, adds and multiplies, and changes the innerHTML of the table to reflect the subtotals, and total. FF does it great, but IE gives Nan. ive tried rewriting it a number of different ways, and many translations still work in FF but not IE8. ive made sure the variables and form id's arent repeated. function gen_invoice() { var scount = parseInt(document.shopcart.studentcount.value, 10); var ycount = parseInt(document.shopcart.youthcount.value, 10); var fcount = parseInt(document.shopcart.facultycount.value, 10); //html output source is 3 selects like this, with diff ids and names: //<select name="studentcount" id="studentcount"> //<option onclick="gen_invoice()" value="0">0 </option></select> var cardcost = parseInt(document.shopcart.cardprice.value, 10); //cardcost comes from hidden input value: //<input type="hidden" id="cardprice" name="cardprice" value="25"> var totalsum = scount + ycount + fcount; var grandtotal = totalsum * cardcost; document.getElementById('s_price').innerHTML = scount * cardcost; document.getElementById('y_price').innerHTML = ycount * cardcost; document.getElementById('f_price').innerHTML = fcount * cardcost; document.getElementById('grand').innerHTML = grandtotal; //.... } ...after this there are 3 long loops for writing out some other forms, but they dont work in IE either because they depend on the selected values to be an integer. this part happens first and returns Nan, so im sure the problem is here somwhere. I have literally hit my head on the table over this. You can imagine how frustrating it is to be able to write the entire rest of the site beautifully, but then fail at adding 3 numbers together. help please!

  • Parsing complicated query parameters

    - by Will
    My Python server receives jobs that contain a list of the items to act against, rather like a search query term; an example input: (Customer:24 OR Customer:24 OR (Group:NW NOT Customer:26)) To complicate matters, customers can join and leave groups at any time, and the job should be updated live when this happens. How is best to parse, apply and store (in my RDBMS) this kind of list of constraints?

  • Why the only hidden field that is being filled from GET action is not being passed in model?

    - by user1807954
    Sorry for the long title, I didn't know how to make it any shorter. My code: My model: public class CarFilter { public String carMake { get; set; } public String carModel { get; set; } public String carEdition { get; set; } . . . public String SortBy { get; set; } } public class CarSearch : CarFilter { public List<Car> Car { get; set; } } My controller: public ActionResult SearchResult(CarSearch search) { var cars = from d in db.Cars select d; if (Request.HttpMethod == "POST") { search.SortBy = "Price"; } search.Car = new List<Car>(); search.Car.AddRange(cars); var temp = new List<CarSearch>(); temp.Add(search); return View(temp); } My Index view (where user filters results): @model IEnumerable<Cars.Models.CarSearch> @using (Html.BeginForm("SearchResult", "Home", FormMethod.Post)){..forms and other stuff..} My SearchResult view (where user sees the results of filtration): @model IEnumerable<Cars.Models.CarSearch> @using (Html.BeginForm("SearchResult", "Home", FormMethod.Get)) { @Html.Hidden("carMake") @Html.Hidden("carModel") @Html.Hidden("carEdition") . . . @Html.Hidden("SortBy", temp.SortBy) <input name="SortBy" class="buttons" type="submit" value="Make"/> My goal What I'm trying to do is when user clicked on sort by Make it will have to GET back all the variables in hidden field back to the SearchResult action in order to sort the result (same filtered results). Result Is: <input id="SortBy" name="SortBy" type="hidden" value=""/>. The value is null and it's not being passed but all the other hidden fields such as carMake and etc have value. But when I use foreach it works perfect. Question Why is this like this? the SortBy is in the same model class as other fields in the view. The only difference is that SortBy is not being filled in the Index view with other fields, instead it's being filled in controller action. What is the explanation for this? Am I missing any C# definition or something such as dynamic objects or something?

I have given preventDefault for Logout link. But still facing an issue. I should be able to logout even though txtEmail is left blank. Thank you all in advance for your response.
