• Why is this JQuery animation jumping in IE8 but working in all other browsers including IE7 and 6?

  This one really has me stumped. For some reason when I animate the x and y scroll property at the same time it jumps in IE 8 but works in all other browsers. I'm hoping someone has run into this before and has a work around. Note: it works fine if I only animate the x or y by them selves. Please view this working example

• Where can I find the source code for log4j's ZeroConfSocketHubAppender?

  I'm looking for a way to make log4net support zeroconf to publish logs to Apache Chainsaw (see here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2843238/does-log4net-support-zeroconf). Apparently log4j can already do this using a ZeroConfSocketHubAppender. Where might I be able to view the source for the java ZeroConfSocketHubAppender? I've looked both in the Apache Chainsaw and in the Log4j repositories but was unsuccessful.

• Why is my web page left-aligned on iPad?

  I recently built a site and centered it using margin: 0 auto. I also wrapped elements in a .wrapper class with a width set to 960px and then had the parent element extend across the whole browser. When I view the Brands screen on an iPad though, the site is left-aligned and does not extend across the whole window. Any thoughts to why this might be happening, and how to correct it?   i m binding gridview in asp.net application... i m about to bind some thousand records in datagrid... on RowDataBound event of the grid i need to check if the log in user is authorised to view the perticuler record...so i need to send database request...like wise such other two to three operation requires to send request to database.... about three to four request are sended to database during each row bound of the gridview...is it effective on speed of the grid?

  I have add a custom plugin that insert custom tags into my tinyMCE editor of the format: title I want the custom tags to be rendered with some styles when viewed in the WYSIWYG view. I have seen one response to a similar question : http://topsecretproject.finitestatemachine.com/2010/02/how-to-custom-tags-with-tinymce/ but this doesn't work - they tags are not stripped out but they are not styled either??

• In Symfony how can you instantely cache the routing.yml?

  I have a file located at [application]/config/routing.yml, when I change something in there, the changes aren't active. This probably has to do with the cache as when I go into that directory [cache]/[application]/prod/config the currently active file can be seen config_routing.yml.php. The lifetime of the cache is generally 86400 seconds, is there a way that I can immediately view/activate the changes?

  I'm trying to do a sparse checkout of a folder containing externals, but none of the externals are being checked out. This issue seems to indicate that this behavior may be by design, or at least that it isn't clear what the behavior should be. From my point of view, the obvious behavior is that externals are treated just as any other directory, and checked out following the same sparse checkout rules. Is there a way to work around this except manually checking out the externals?

  Hey, Currently i try to create some of my database export work more automated and i decided to go with exporting data from MySql database to .doc file in php. So im doing some database work and store complete html to a $str variable and then write/make new file: $fp = fopen($file, 'w+'); fwrite($fp,$str); fclose($fp); The problem here is not creating .doc file, but when i download and view that .doc file it's not in UTF-8 it's in unicode.
