  • Format of DataGridView value

    I have a DataGridView which is filling from Table in SQL Server Database. One of it's columns is "price". Type of column in DGV is automatically sets as Decimal. In some cases I need to write in cells of this column text like "none", instead of price. How can I do it? DGV.Item("price", 0).Value = "none" doesn't work, because of decimal type of a cell.

  • Where to begin with multi-threaded programming with c++?

    I'm trying to implement my own IRC client as a personal proejct and I realized I needed a way to read and write from the socket at the same time. I realized I could have a reading thread which reads from the socket in the background and puts data in a queue and I could have another thread which writes data from a queue to the socket. However I have no idea on how to start with multithreaded programing or how to do it with c++. Where do I go from here?

    Im just wondering how i use xmlencoder to serialize ArrayList where foo is my own made class. Do i have to do anything in particular, ie define my own xml structure first and then call toString on each value in my list and write it out?     In our oroject we already have a lots of tables (100+). Some of them contains a lot of columns (50-100) and we are facing the need of adding more columns from time to time. What do you think is best - from maintenance and performance point of view - to split these huge tables in smaller entities or to keep the tables the way they are ? We are using an ORM tools, so we don't need to write custom request.

Are there any built-in APIs or do I need to write a method to trim the leading zero's?     In all examples I can find as well as the automatically generated code i Visual Studio, events are set using the following code: button1.Click += new System.EventHandler(this.button1_Click); But I can also write it visually cleaner by omitting the constructor wrapper: button1.Click += this.button1_Click; Which also compile fine. What is the difference between these two? And why is the first one mostly used/preferred?

  • Is there way to determine if a file has been executed or not in C#?

    I'm looking for a way to determine if a file has been executed or not. I've looked a bit into FileInfo's LastAccessTime but this doesn't seem to change when a file is executed. I've also looked into FileSystemWatcher but this also doesn't seem to offer a solution. Is there such a thing as a file execution listener or is there another way? If it helps, i'm looking to write a folder listener that renames an .avi file within it after it has been watched/executed.

    Here i have installed widows server 2008 64 orale 11g r2 64 now i want to access this from the ip address that i have set to my server not working i can't access trough the ip address.... when i use on my application .....local host it can get connected but when i add the ip for example 10.0.0.2 it's not connecting now simply also on local when i write the ip address it's not connecting but with localhost works fine..... so even i have used listener. regards
