  • Using sql column names in hibernate createSQlquery result

    - by Ricardo
    Hi all, i have a couple of sql views with composite primary keys that i want to query, and since Hibernate makes it a pain to work with composite keyes, im using createSQLQuery. The problem is that this method can only return a List, and i need to refer to the colums by their index. Any chance i could do like jdbc and refer to the columns by their sql name insted of their index? thanks

  • ListView not firing OnItemCommand (nor ItemInserting) after preventing postback

    - by nevizi
    Hi there, I have a ListView inside a FormView that, for some strange reason, doesn't fire neither the ItemInsert nor the ItemCommand event. I'm populating the ListView with a generic list. I bind the list to the ListView on the OnPreRenderComplete. <asp:ListView runat="server" ID="lvReferences" DataKeyNames="idReference" OnItemInserting="ContractReferences_Inserting" OnItemDeleting="ContractReferences_Deleting" InsertItemPosition="LastItem" OnItemCommand="ContractReferences_Command" OnItemCreated="ContractReferences_ItemDataBound"> <LayoutTemplate> <ul> <asp:PlaceHolder ID="itemPlaceholder" runat="server" /> </ul> </LayoutTemplate> <ItemTemplate> <li class="obsItem"> <a href="#"><asp:TextBox ID="valRef" runat="server" Width="5px" Enabled="false" Text='<%#Bind("idProcessRecordRef") %>' /></a> <asp:TextBox id="txtRef" runat="server" Text='<%#Bind("description") %>' /> <asp:ImageButton ID="btDelete" runat="server" CommandName="Delete" ImageUrl="~/_layouts/web.commons/Images/eliminar.png" /> </li> </ItemTemplate> <InsertItemTemplate> <li class="obsItem"> <a href="#"><asp:TextBox ID="valRef" runat="server" Width="5px" Enabled="false" /></a> <asp:TextBox id="txtRef" runat="server" /> <asp:ImageButton ID="btDetail" CausesValidation="false" OnClientClick="javascript:openPopup();return false;" runat="server" ImageUrl="~/_layouts/web.commons/Images/novo.png" /> <asp:ImageButton ID="btSaveDs" runat="server" CommmandName="Insert" CausesValidation="false" ImageUrl="~/_layouts/web.commons/Images/gravarObs.png" /> </li> </InsertItemTemplate> </asp:ListView> My ItemDataBound method is: protected void ContractReferences_ItemDataBound(object sender, ListViewItemEventArgs e) { if (!IsPostBack) { TextBox valRef = e.Item.FindControl("valRef") as TextBox; TextBox txtRef = e.Item.FindControl("txtRef") as TextBox; ScriptManager.RegisterStartupScript(this, this.GetType(), "popup", "function openPopup(){ window.open('ContractPicker.aspx?c1=" + valRef.ClientID + "&c2=" + txtRef.ClientID + "');}", true); } } So, basically, in the InsertItemTemplate I put a button that opens a LOV and populates my valRef and txtRef fields. I had to put a "return false" in order for the parent page to not postback (and I think the problem lies here...). Then, when I click in the ImageButton with the CommandName="Insert", instead of firing the ItemCommand event, it enters once again in the ItemDataBound handler. So, any ideas? Thanks!

  • Populating an NSPopUpButtonCell with string values

    - by sirjorj
    I am trying to populate a NSPopUpButtonCell with a list of strings. In -(init), I populate an NSArray with the values I want in the PopUp Button. How do I connect this to the NSArrayController I added in IB? Does my app delegate need an IBOutlet NSArrayController to connect to or is there a way to bind it? Also, when I bind the NSArrayController to the NSPopUpButtonCell, do which Content do I bind it to? Content or Content Values? jorj

  • Possible to open a text file in a MYSQL stored procedure?

    - by futureelite7
    Is it possible to open and read from a text file in a MYSQL stored procedure? I have a text file with a list of about 50k telephone numbers, and want to write a stored procedure that will open the file, read the 50k lines and store it as rows in a table. I cannot load the file directly using LOAD IN FILE as the table has additional columns that I have to set. Thanks!

  • BlackBerry JDE supported devices?

    - by nuggon
    I'm developing BlackBerry applications with the JDE plugin for Eclipse (version 1.0.0.67), and I was wondering if there's a list somewhere of devices that these applications will run on. It's for commercial purposes, and we need to be able to tell our clients what the supported devices are. Perhaps I'm asking a stupid question, but I need to be sure. If you need more information than what I'm giving, please ask. Thanks.

  • Splitting a filename into words and numbers in Python

    - by danspants
    The following code splits a string into a list of words but does not include numbers: txt="there_once was,a-monkey.called phillip?09.txt" sep=re.compile(r"[\s\.,-_\?]+") sep.split(txt) ['there', 'once', 'was', 'a', 'monkey', 'called', 'phillip', 'txt'] This code gives me words and numbers but still includes "_" as a valid character: re.findall(r"\w+|\d+",txt) ['there_once', 'was', 'a', 'monkey', 'called', 'phillip', '09', 'txt'] What do I need to alter in either piece of code to end up with the desired result of: ['there', 'once', 'was', 'a', 'monkey', 'called', 'phillip', '09', 'txt']

  • Django custom SQL returning single row of results when query returns 2?

    - by Alvin
    I have a custom SQL call that is returning different results to the template than I get when I run the same query against the database directly, 1 row vs 2 Query - copied from Django Debug Toolbar: SELECT ((Sum(new_recruit_interviews) / Sum(opportunities_offered)) * 100) as avg_recruit, ((Sum(inspections) / Sum(presentations)) * 100) as avg_inspect, ((Sum(contracts_signed) / Sum(roof_approvals)) * 100) as avg_contracts, ((Sum(adjusters) / Sum(contracts_signed)) * 100) as avg_adjusters, ((Sum(roof_approvals) / Sum(adjusters)) *100) as roof_approval_avg, ((Sum(roof_turned_in) / Sum(adjusters)) * 100) as roof_jobs_avg, Sum(roof_turned_in) as roof_jobs_total, ((Sum(siding_approvals) / Sum(adjusters)) *100) as siding_approval_avg, ((Sum(siding_turned_in) / Sum(adjusters)) * 100) as siding_jobs_avg, Sum(siding_turned_in) as siding_jobs_total, ((Sum(gutter_approvals) / Sum(adjusters)) *100) as gutter_approval_avg, ((Sum(gutter_turned_in) / Sum(adjusters)) * 100) as gutter_jobs_avg, Sum(gutter_turned_in) as gutter_jobs_total, ((Sum(window_approvals) / Sum(adjusters)) *100) as window_approval_avg, ((Sum(window_turned_in) / Sum(adjusters)) * 100) as window_jobs_avg, Sum(window_turned_in) as window_jobs_total, (Sum(roof_turned_in) + Sum(siding_turned_in) + Sum(gutter_turned_in) + Sum(window_turned_in)) as total_jobs, (((Sum(collections_jobs_new) + Sum(collections_jobs_previous)) / (Sum(roof_turned_in) + Sum(siding_turned_in) + Sum(gutter_turned_in) + Sum(window_turned_in))) * 100) as total_collections, sales_report_salesmen.location_id as detail_id, business_unit_location.title as title FROM sales_report_salesmen Inner Join auth_user ON sales_report_salesmen.user_id = auth_user.id Inner Join business_unit_location ON sales_report_salesmen.location_id = business_unit_location.id GROUP BY location_id Results from direct query running the above query: INSERT INTO `` (`avg_recruit`, `avg_inspect`, `avg_contracts`, `avg_adjusters`, `roof_approval_avg`, `roof_jobs_avg`, `roof_jobs_total`, `siding_approval_avg`, `siding_jobs_avg`, `siding_jobs_total`, `gutter_approval_avg`, `gutter_jobs_avg`, `gutter_jobs_total`, `window_approval_avg`, `window_jobs_avg`, `window_jobs_total`, `total_jobs`, `total_collections`, `detail_id`, `title`) VALUES (95.3968, 92.8178, 106.9622, 90.2928, 103.5420, 103.5670, 4152, 100.2494, 106.8845, 4285, 120.1297, 86.2559, 3458, 92.9658, 106.1611, 4256, 16151, 4.281469, 12, 'St Paul, MN'); VALUES (90.2982, 73.3723, 97.8474, 104.5433, 97.7585, 86.1848, 1884, 109.9268, 109.3321, 2390, 81.0156, 96.4318, 2108, 91.7200, 123.8792, 2708, 9090, 4.531573, 13, 'Denver, CO'); Results from template: {'roof_jobs_total': Decimal('4152'), 'gutter_jobs_total': Decimal('3458'), 'avg_adjusters': Decimal('90.2928'), 'title': u'St Paul, MN', 'window_approval_avg': Decimal('92.9658'), 'total_collections': Decimal('4.281469'), 'gutter_approval_avg': Decimal('120.1297'), 'avg_recruit': Decimal('95.3968'), 'siding_approval_avg': Decimal('100.2494'), 'window_jobs_total': Decimal('4256'), 'detail_id': 12L, 'siding_jobs_avg': Decimal('106.8845'), 'avg_inspect': Decimal('92.8178'), 'roof_approval_avg': Decimal('103.5420'), 'roof_jobs_avg': Decimal('103.5670'), 'total_jobs': Decimal('16151'), 'window_jobs_avg': Decimal('106.1611'), 'avg_contracts': Decimal('106.9622'), 'gutter_jobs_avg': Decimal('86.2559'), 'siding_jobs_total': Decimal('4285')} Tried tweaking it a few ways and running the results through various for loops, keep getting the same result where my results are a single row through the Django template and the expected results (through console) have 2 rows The row that is coming back is the same as the first row returned through the console query so I'm thinking that it is running correctly just a matter of passing the results through... for good measure this is the code I'm using to generate the query (yes it's a bit ugly, been playing with it) def sql_grouped(table, fields, group_by=False, where=False): from django.db import connection query = 'SELECT %s FROM %s' % (fields, table) if where: query = query + ' WHERE %s' % (where) if group_by: query = query + ' GROUP BY %s' % (group_by) cursor = connection.cursor() cursor.execute(query) desc = cursor.description data = [dict(zip([col[0] for col in desc], row)) for row in cursor.fetchall()] return data[0] any feedback is greatly appreciated - been tinkering with this since I realized I could skip a few steps by generating my averages directly within the SQL rather than post-process

  • What is the semantically correct way to use the `<article>` tag in HTML 5, with `<ol>, <ul>, and <li

    - by viatropos
    I currently have an ordered list that I want to markup using the new HTML 5 attributes. It looks like this: <ol class="section"> <li class="article"> <h2>Article A</h2> <p>Some text</p> </li> <li class="article"> <h2>Article B</h2> <p>Some text</p> </li> <li class="article"> <h2>Article C</h2> <p>Some text</p> </li> </ol> It seems the only way to keep the list AND use HTML 5 tags is to add a whole bunch of unnecessary divs: <section> <ol> <li> <article> <h2>Article A</h2> <p>Some text</p> </article> </li> <li> <article> <h2>Article B</h2> <p>Some text</p> </article> </li> <li> <article> <h2>Article C</h2> <p>Some text</p> </article> </li> </ol> </section> Is there a better way to do this? What are your thoughts?

  • AppEngine BlobStore upload failing when request is programmatic

    - by Joe Ludwig
    I have an AppEngine application that uses the blobstore to store user-provided image data. When I upload images to that application from a form in Chrome it works fine. When I try to upload an image from an Android application it fails. Both methods work fine if I am running against the development server, but the Android upload doesn't work against the live service. This is the request from Chrome: POST /_ah/upload/?userToken=11001/AMmfu6ZCyMQQ9YdiXal3SmSXIRTQIuSRXkNc-i3JmU0fqx_kJbUJ2OMLcS2lXhVJSK4qs7regViTKzOPz5ejoZYi0nAD5o8vNltiOViQw6DZO7_byZz3Ut0/ALBNUaYAAAAAS_lusgPMAGmpPrg0BuNsJyymX-57ob4i/ HTTP/1.1 Host: photohuntservice.appspot.com Connection: keep-alive User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/4.1.249.1064 Safari/532.5 Referer: http://photohuntservice.appspot.com/debug_newpuzzle?userToken=11001 Content-Length: 60360 Cache-Control: max-age=0 Origin: http://photohuntservice.appspot.com Content-Type: multipart/form-data; boundary=----WebKitFormBoundarybl05YLmLbFRf2MzN Accept: application/xml,application/xhtml+xml,text/html;q=0.9,text/plain;q=0.8,image/png,*/*;q=0.5 Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate,sdch Accept-Language: en-US,en;q=0.8 Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.3 ------WebKitFormBoundarybl05YLmLbFRf2MzN Content-Disposition: form-data; name="userToken" 11001 ------WebKitFormBoundarybl05YLmLbFRf2MzN Content-Disposition: form-data; name="img"; filename="Photo_020908_001.jpg" Content-Type: image/jpeg <image data> ------WebKitFormBoundarybl05YLmLbFRf2MzN Content-Disposition: form-data; name="longitude" -122.084095 ------WebKitFormBoundarybl05YLmLbFRf2MzN Content-Disposition: form-data; name="latitude" 37.422006 ------WebKitFormBoundarybl05YLmLbFRf2MzN-- This is the request from my client (which is written in Java on Android, but I don't think that's relevant): POST /_ah/upload/?userToken=11001/AMmfu6Zf9an6AU4lT9UuhIpxOZyOYb1LMwimFpeSh8zr6J1sX9F2ddJW3Qlsw0kwV3oALv-TNPWRQ6g4_Dgwk0UTwF47bbc78Yl44kDeV69MydTuR3N46S4/ALBNUaYAAAAAS_mMr3CYqTg3aVBDjhRxP0DyyRdvotyG/ HTTP/1.1 Content-Type: multipart/form-data;boundary=----WebKitFormBoundaryhdyNAhmOouRDGErG Cache-Control: max-age=0 Accept: */* Origin: http://photohuntservice.appspot.com Connection: keep-alive Referer: http://photohuntservice.appspot.com/getuploadurl?userToken=11001 Content-Length: 2638 Host: photohuntservice.appspot.com User-Agent: Apache-HttpClient/UNAVAILABLE (java 1.4) Expect: 100-Continue ------WebKitFormBoundaryhdyNAhmOouRDGErG Content-Disposition: form-data; name="userToken" 11001 ------WebKitFormBoundaryhdyNAhmOouRDGErG Content-Disposition: form-data; name="img";filename="PhotoHunt.jpg" Content-Type: image/jpeg <image data> ------WebKitFormBoundaryhdyNAhmOouRDGErG Content-Disposition: form-data; name="latitude" 37.422006 ------WebKitFormBoundaryhdyNAhmOouRDGErG Content-Disposition: form-data; name="longitude" -122.084095 ------WebKitFormBoundaryhdyNAhmOouRDGErG-- In both cases the AppEngine Python code to catch the request is the same: class UploadPuzzle( blobstore_handlers.BlobstoreUploadHandler ): def post(self): upload_files = self.get_uploads( ) The problem is that when running on the production AppEngine service self.get_uploads() returns an empty list when the request is made from my client app. Both requests return what I expect (a list with one blob_info in it) on the development server, and Chrome returns what I expect in both cases.

  • EJB3 Transaction Propogation

    - by Matt S.
    I have a stateless bean something like: @Stateless public class MyStatelessBean implements MyStatelessLocal, MyStatelessRemote { @PersistenceContext(unitName="myPC") private EntityManager mgr; @TransationAttribute(TransactionAttributeType.SUPPORTED) public void processObjects(List<Object> objs) { // this method just processes the data; no need for a transaction for(Object obj : objs) { this.process(obj); } } @TransationAttribute(TransactionAttributeType.REQUIRES_NEW) public void process(Object obj) { // do some work with obj that must be in the scope of a transaction this.mgr.merge(obj); // ... this.mgr.merge(obj); // ... this.mgr.flush(); } } The typically usage then is the client would call processObjects(...), which doesn't actually interact with the entity manager. It does what it needs to do and calls process(...) individually for each object to process. The duration of process(...) is relatively short, but processObjects(...) could take a very long time to run through everything. Therefore I don't want it to maintain an open transaction. I do need the individual process(...) operations to operate within their own transaction. This should be a new transaction for every call. Lastly I'd like to keep the option open for the client to call process(...) directly. I've tried a number of different transaction types: never, not supported, supported (on processObjects) and required, requires new (on process) but I get TransactionRequiredException every time merge() is called. I've been able to make it work by splitting up the methods into two different beans: @Stateless @TransationAttribute(TransactionAttributeType.NOT_SUPPORTED) public class MyStatelessBean1 implements MyStatelessLocal1, MyStatelessRemote1 { @EJB private MyStatelessBean2 myBean2; public void processObjects(List<Object> objs) { // this method just processes the data; no need for a transaction for(Object obj : objs) { this.myBean2.process(obj); } } } @Stateless public class MyStatelessBean2 implements MyStatelessLocal2, MyStatelessRemote2 { @PersistenceContext(unitName="myPC") private EntityManager mgr; @TransationAttribute(TransactionAttributeType.REQUIRES_NEW) public void process(Object obj) { // do some work with obj that must be in the scope of a transaction this.mgr.merge(obj); // ... this.mgr.merge(obj); // ... this.mgr.flush(); } } but I'm still curious if it's possible to accomplish this in one class. It looks to me like the transaction manager only operates at the bean level, even when individual methods are given more specific annotations. So if I mark one method in a way to prevent the transaction from starting calling other methods within that same instance will also not create a transaction, no matter how they're marked? I'm using JBoss Application Server 4.2.1.GA, but non-specific answers are welcome / preferred.

  • Apple push notifications and Emoji characters...

    - by Friendlydeveloper
    Hello, I recently found this very interesting article on APNS and Emoji characters: EASY APNS - Just for fun It contains a list with all supported Emojis. However, I couldn't get them to display in my push notifications. All I get is the code, not the image. For example, if I add \ue415 (a smiley) to my message, I never see the image, just the code. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

  • x86 assembly idioms

    - by susmits
    I've been trying to get a good hold on the x86 assembly language, and was wondering if there was a quick-and-short equivalent of movl $1, %eax. That's when I thought that a list of idioms used frequently in the language would perhaps be a good idea. This could include the preferred use of xorl %eax, %eax as opposed to movl $0, %eax, or testl %eax, %eax against cmpl $0, %eax. Oh, and kindly post one example per post!

I would be looking for examples from as simple as list of data and as complex as using matrix, calculation, grouping, etc. This will help us to make a reference point if anytime we get stuck up somewhere.
