  • Most suitable Unix platform for developing device drivers

    I completely newbie in device drivers, so I hope my question is in place, but I need to develop a driver to control some equipment. I was thinking on using Linux as the host OS, but not sure if it is such good idea. I've heard some horror stories about the mess of developing device drivers under Linux. Is there a better alternative under the *Nix world? Or maybe should I check other OSes?

    So I am working on a gridview that uses the order number to order the table. However, my users are able to ad a row. What i want is something similar to pages that have the arrows next to each row and the user can click up if they want that row to go up.   • Postsharp installer bug: .Net 2.0 not presented

    There is an issue with PostSharp 1.5 and 2.0 that won't let you install it on the Windows 7 machine with the error message ".NET Framework 2.0 is not present on this computer". To work around the issue you have to run the installer while being logged in with Administrator account. Not Admin group and not "run as Administrator", you have to be logged in with the Administrator account. Hope that helps, if someone has the same issue.

Now apparently they use their own custom compiler and language that will translate the source code to more "accessible" languages such as PHP and (I think) C#. Is there a name for this language?     I feel dumb for having been a web programmer for so long and not knowing the answer to this question, I actually hope it's possible and I just didn't know about rather than what I think is the answer (which is that it's not possible). My question is whether it is possible to make a CSS class that "inherits" from another CSS class (or more than one). For example, say we had: .something { display:inline } .else { background:red } What I'd like to do is something like this: .composite { .something; .else } where the ".composite" class would both display inline and have a red background

    When do I execute query COPY TO ... CSV, I create CSV file. BUt when open it column with names in excel that should be with national characters are not as it should be. So my question is, If it is possible within a sql query to change this encoding to utf8? Or something else? Because I want that new created CSV file to be as final product for user on web.     If I use M-x shell and run the interactive Python interpreter, Emacs on Windows does not return any IO. When I discovered M-x python-shell, I regained hope. However, instead of running the interactive Python shell, I want to run a specific Python script that features an interactive CLI. (See Python's cmd module for details). Is there a way of launching a Python script in Emacs that is interactive? (stdout, stdin, stderr)

    Hi, I have multiple sub-domains within the document_root. And multiple folders/classes within those sub-domain folders. I need something that will help me with my include_once paths, but $_SESSION[DOCUMENT_ROOT] goes too far down. And if I were to use this, and transfer the website folder later, all my include_once paths will/might break. Hope my question is clear... Any recommendations?

Is there any way I can perform such a copy?     Say I have an environment variable myvar myvar=\tapple\n when the following command will print out this variable perl -e 'print "$ENV{myvar}"' I will literally have \tapple\n, however, I want those control chars to be evaluated and not escaped. How would I achieve it? In the real world $ENV residing in substitution, but I hope the answer will cover that.
