  I asked this a few months ago, and only received one response which didn't work. I've been tinkering with it for the past few weeks, and I'm still completely lost, so I would appreciate anyone else's input as I'm all out of ideas. what I'm trying to do is add a list of folders and files all to the root of my Zip file, using the Ionic Zip library (c#). Every time a child folder is created in the nested structure, the previous parentID is added. I want to get the RootFolderID of a folder which is added in the hierarchy as tabulated below. • HTTP POSTed files automatically uploaded to root directory

  I just inherited an ASP.NET WebForms web application that I was tasked with refactoring. One of the features is a file upload and while debugging I noticed that as soon as a file is posted to a certain page/handler, it is automatically uploaded to the root directory of the application. The file is then moved to the proper location. I can't seem to figure out whats causing this automatic upload of the file. Is there something I'am overlooking in ASP.NET WebForms that allows this to happen? Is it an IIS configuration or something?

  Hi I was wanted to do Application witch have a root template view with a nice logo on top or something adn load other views just below (here is what I have right now: Test App ) But I have a little problem. If I'll remove a comment in file TestAppDelegate.m on line 58 //[currentView release]; Application will crash with bunch of errors when I try to switch views. But if I comment this line Project analyzer is telling me that I have a potential leak with currentView variable. Can somebody spare some time and see in that code what I did wrong?

  I have two resource controllers where I am using a slug to represent the ID. (friendly_id gem). I am able to have the show path for one resource on the route but not for two at the same time. ie. root :to => 'home#index' match '/:id' => "properties#show" match '/:id' => "contents#show" Basically I want urls like, # Content domain.com/about-us domain.com/terms # Property domain.com/unique-property-name domain.com/another-unique-property-name Whatever resource I put on top works. Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advace if you can help.

• iPhone: Switching Views From Outside Root Controller

  I am using a UINavigationController to switch between views. What I would like is for each view to have the ability to control when it is swapped out for another view by having buttons within the view. All of the samples I've seen thus far have placed buttons on a toolbar, which is located on the root view containing the Switch View Controller rather than the views, them self. Is it possible to do what I want? I can't figure how to wire up the connection back to the UINavigationController. I'm having a difficult time wording this, so please feel free to let me know if you need additional clarification.

  Is the html tag safe to use in terms of browser support? Or should I generate a root path with PHP which i then add like this <a href="<?=BASE?>somepage.html">somepage</a> which makes up a absolute url. using the base tag like this <base href="<?=BASE?>" /> I am then able to use links like this <a href="somepage.html">somepage</a> now I am fully aware that it would be much easier to just do this without using the base tag: <a href="/somepage.html">somepage</a> but how do I test locally then with a base url of http://localhost/testsite/ ???

  Hi, I am working on a web site with several other developers and we have had problems where people commit JavaScript code with AJAX calls that use URL's relative to the site root. An example would be /Home/Index which will not work if the site is hosted in a virtual directory. To get round the problem we use a $.url() method to convert it to a full path, e.g. $("#container").load($.url("/Home/Index")) I am trying to write a unit test that will search each JavaScript file and find places where the $.url method is not being used. The only problem is that I cannot seem to write a regex expression to do this. I have tried the following: (?!\$\.url\()"(/\w*)+" But this does not work. I cannot find a way to say that I don't want the $.url in front. Does anyone know if this is possible? Note that I need regular expressions that are compatible with .NET Thanks.

• How can you exclude folders from appearing in the Recent Items feature of Windows 7 start menu?

  to be clear, I like the 'recent items' feature. I do not want to turn it off. I work at a law firm where we integrate Office with a document management system (DMS). If recent items are turned on, those DMS opened documents will show up in the recent items of a Windows 7 start menu when hovering over Word (or Excel\PPT etc). However the integration doesn't work correctly so if a user were to click on one of those, something wouldn't work right. In short, we've always needed to turn off Recent Items completely for a DMS integrated workstation. Curious if anyone knows of a way to exclude a directory from being "captured" so to speak. When you open a DMS document, the file gets copied to local directory where it saves it as you work, until you close and it checks it back in to the DMS. I'd like to be able to exclude that local directory from recent items. so local files in My Docs and Desktop would show up in recent items, but not DMS opened documents. Hope this makes sense.

• Why are my SharePoint downloads not completing for outside users?

  I am using WSS 3.0 with Microsoft Server 2003. I am running into the following problem. On a pretty frequent basis, outside users are having trouble downloading documents. Some downloads are completing while the download is still incomplete. So for instance, a PDF is a 17MB file. If I download it from within the office, all 17MBs are downloaded and it opens. If I download it from an outside connection, it may download anywhere from 5-10 MB of the file and then say it is complete. When these partial downloads are opened, it gives the user the error, this file is corrupt and cannot be repaired. I have solved this problem on some of the occasions by simply deleting the document and uploading a new copy of the document. This does not always work. Are there known bugs? Are the Internet settings that need to be modified on the outside user's machine? Does anyone else run into this?

• Can't see my partitions after grub recovery

  I stupidly inserted the windows CD into my dual boot Ubuntu 11.10 / windows xp system. I just wanted to see if I could install windows on my external usb HD, but didn't actually go ahead with the install. It seems like the windows CD messed up my MBR and I had to use boot-repair and the ubuntu 11.10 live CD to gain access to ubuntu again. It seems to boot up a little differently (slower) but works. However, I now cant see any of my partitions in nautilus (there are 3). When I open gparted, it just shows my whole hard drive as unallocated (I know it has a windows partition that works and my ubuntu partition that I am using now). Like I said before, I had to use the 'boot-repair' utility with the live cd to get grub working again. I think that this utility maybe created a new grub for me because the startup is definitely not the same. The screen goes blank for a while, and then the ubuntu loading dots come up for a brief moment (instead of during the whole startup process) before the dektop is displayed. • How large should I make root, home, and swap partitions?

  Hello, I have a laptop with win7 installed. I have now made a 60gb partition which I want to install ubuntu into. The question I have, before I do the installation, is how large each of the root, swap, and home partition should be? I have read some place that root could be as small as 8GB, but isn't that too small? Since I guess beside ubuntu all the softwares installed will reside there as well? And I think I'm going to set my swap to be 2GB large. My main concern is how large should the root partition should be. I'm mainly going to use ubuntu for programming and browse the web.

  Hello! If got 2 Questions: 1. I've sarted working around with Linq to XML and i'm wondering if it is possible to change a XML document via Linq. I mean, is there someting like XDocument xmlDoc = XDocument.Load("sample.xml"); update item in xmlDoc.Descendants("item") where (int)item .Attribute("id") == id ... 2.
