  Hi, What constitutes a good implementation of the GetHashCode method? I did some googling, and found some goodlines (MSDN) but it seems like the logic just manipulates two numbers stored as fields in the class. Is the actual logic this simple to implement this method?

  For example, what Wordpad did when I press "Ctrl+C"? It places many different format to clipboard. So Notepad can get the text without any color or font...etc, and you still can keep the original format when you paste in another Wordpad window. The MSDN said I should call SetClipboardData multiple times. But it doesn't work at all.

The answer seems to be yes, but the function PtrToStringChars doesn't have its own MSDN entry (it's only mentioned in the KB and blogs as a trick). Oh my I'm on a project which have multiple countries, brands, components layers and each time I will add a file you want me to "Add as Link" ? This is a nightmare maintenance !   I was trying to use TextInfo.ToTitleCase to convert some names to proper case. it works fine for strings in lowercase and mixed case but for strings with all characters in Upper case, it returns the input string as is. Nothing about this behavior is mentioned in MSDN documentation, any insights?

  Hi, I have created a user control ( custom data grid view control). I have used the code specified at MSDN [site][1] [1]: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316574 to set the border style . I am able to see the selected border style in designer. Like None, FixedSingle or Fixed3D. But when I set the border style to FixedSingle, the border does not appear at runtime. Do I need to draw it manually in the OnPaint method?

• Need a scenario where would fail Array.ConstrainedCopy()

  Hi, Just playing around with some of the APIs in .NET and I can't seem to find a way to cause Array.ConstrainedCopy() fail. According to MSDN, it's treated as an atomic operation. If it fails during the copy, the entire call fails resulting in no elements being copied as opposed to its Array.Copy() counterpart. Can someone demonstrate this or tell me how to do this?
