  • Logout solution (ASP.NET)

    I programmed a web site, prepared a login mechanism(via textbox, not Login tools), users want to logout, they click logout button. However, my problem is that if users don't click logout button or close web page or switch another one, How can I understand this situation? According my mechanism, when users logout ,in DB some insertion and delete operation are making. I also want to do this with closing page,switch another one. Thanks.

    Hi, Was wondering, how do I add a custom marker to google maps, JavaScript, integrated into my site. This code adds a regular marker: var marker = new GMarker(center); map.addOverlay(marker); but where do I insert an image tag (say, "marker.png" ) for it to appear instead of the regular google marker?     hi , i am having a site running in Joomla 1.5 i am trying to keep a url image to it near to url. I am using the JSN-Epic template where i am having a line as <link rel="shortcut icon" href="<?php echo $this->baseurl; ?>/images/favicon.ico" /> i have uploaded the favicon.ico to my templates/jsnepic/ but when i load the page the image appears when it starts loading and then disappears while loaded fully. How to resolve this??

    A DNN site version 05.02.00(275) When editing a HTML module the following happens: If I make the changes and save before the cookie "portalaliasid" expires (within 1 minute) all is well. BUT if I stay in the editor for a longer time, say 2 minutes, and posting I end up at the editor again with the old content. All my previous work is lost. Now I'm lost - is this a bug, a bad setting or what? /Staffan

    I was trying to find the right module for downloading kernel patches from kernel.org site For example,to download the file at https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/62948/mbox/ I understand urlgrabber has a problem with https on debian. urllib2 seems to have problem with this url as well (says getaddrinfo failed, even though there are no problems reaching other urls) Any help would be appreciated

  • AJAX in Rails - doing simple looping to update information when available

    I am trying to get put out a simple site, which would pool the database every few seconds and update the information on the page dynamicly, when theres something new inserted. I am farily new to ruby, but I understand the whole concept of RJS, link_to_function and soforth. The question is, what is the best way how to implement some kind of simple loop, which would run after the page is loaded and update the DOM if there is something new to display.     I want to make someone able to register on my site (or upgrade their current account) with one of 3 membership levels. When someone selects the membership level (or upgrades their current account) and registers, they will register under that membership level and payment will be started from there. My real question being how do I make someone able to sign up (or upgrade) an account upon registration (for new accounts) and upgrade for existing accounts and have this happen automatically so I dont have to do them all by hand? I would like to add another column on the listing page for ModelA, where each entry is a URL pointing to all objects of ModelB having a foreign key relationship on corresponding instance of Model A in that row. How can I achieve this customization with the admin app?

  • Web pages show empty band across the top

    In Chrome, site http://www.helpinghandspeople.com has a 16px empty band (background colour shows) across the top of the page. It's not supposed to be there, but I can't figure out how to make it go away. In Firefox, the home page shows fine, but login and a few other pages show a 24px band. Viewing source and running inspect element are not helpful. Does anyone have a suggestion where to look? Thanks Gerry
