  • WordPress to Static .html solution

    I'm looking for a solution that will enable me to use WordPress for site/content management but will export static .html files rather than dynamic database driven files. I've used wp-super cache and it is a step in this direction, however, the speed gains were not quite what I'd like. Any ideas?

    Hi, I'm helping a friend transfer a site to a new server who uses Actinic to run a small catalogue of items. I've transferred the files over to the new server, but I need to change a few configuration settings for Actinic, as the old server stored files in /public_html But the new one uses /httpdocs Does anyone know which files I need to edit to do this? I can't get in touch with my friend at the moment as he is on holiday. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi Everybody, I need to filter the content in all the pages according to user selections. there should be one control to select different parameters like country, branch and location. page content should change according to user selected values throughout site even user navigate to other pages or subsites. I come from a design background but do understand some basics of OOP but would like to see a tutorial or something simple I could base this on.     Having spent some time migrating old data into a new drupal site, my first node id is already into the 4 digit territory. Has anyone had any experience in this position of renumbering node ids starting from #1? Maybe using direct queries on the database, or a module that traverses and renumbers all the nodes? Of course, nodereferences have to be preserved... are there any other potential hangups if I try to script this?

    I have a number resx files as follows, Resources-es-ES.resx Resources-es.resx Resources.resx (english defaults) They are compiled into an assembly and I use them for localising my web pages by simply referring to Resources.Ok for example. My question is whether there is a way to find out the "rendered culture", e.g. if I come into the site with my CurrentUICulture set to "fr-fr" for example it will fall back to using the English resources and I'm wondering how to get that information to help me with some JavaScript localisation.

    I am working on putting the Facebook "Like" iframe on a site, and I am trying to follow the example found at http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like. I am putting in code similar to this: <meta property="og:image" content="http://ia.media-imdb.com/rock.jpg"/> But when I "Like" a page, it doesn't do anything with the image that I am aware of. Does anyone know what that data is supposed to do?

Previously i tried to do this thong by using xenu and web link validator but in there results most of the links are showing 500 internal serevr error.and for the pages they are showing 500 internal server error the pages actuallt don't exists in the web site.
