    I am writing a Silverlight 3 application, this app uses a service reference to connect to a SharePoint site by using Sharepoint Lists.asmx web service Now i want to install my app on different servers, and i want my app to use the weBservice of the server on which it is installed (without me specifying it). In Vs2005, we used to specify "dynamic" for the webservice. How can i do this in Visual Studio 2010 (service reference)? there is no "dynamic" property for a service reference. Thanks,

    Hi, I have SharePoint setup, and for a test I added a Task List, added a few columns, and tested it out. I wanted to modify the task list task page, not the task list page. I can edit the task list page, but I cannot edit the task list task page. I am missing the Edit Page button from site actions on that page. How can I edit the page of the actual task? Thanks.

I created my security credentials from this site: http://paulstamatiou.com/how-to-getting-started-with-amazon-ec2 It worked great, I rebooted and now when I try to connect I get a login/password prompt. (Which I never set up.) After several attempts I get this error: Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-with-mic). What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Josh

    I'm trying to transfer a site from one hosting company to another. I was using 000webhost until the client had hosting and a domain. Now that the client has their domain and hosting, using FatCow.com, I can not for the life of me, debug my PHP code. I'm not getting any errors. I have a successful DB connection. If you procedurally display data, it works, but when I try to use my original objects, something is breaking and just returns "0:". I have all errors on. On old server where the site worked: PHP Version 5.2.11 MySQL Version: 5.0.81 On new server where I get the "0:": PHP Version 5.2.12 MySQL Version 5.0.32 I've setup a test page to test just the output of the variables with the DB connection.     Hi This is a java noob related question. Have been looking at Liferay portal technology, however I'm a dotnet (c# or vb) developer by day. Does anyone know if you can use the install of liferay to host dotnet code, not just by using the iFrame method of redirecting to a different site - that just sucks in my opinion Alternatively is the saner option to go down the port my skills back to java?   • Using an image file vs data URI in the CSS

    I'm trying to decide the best way to include an image that is required for a script I've written. I discovered this site and it made me think about trying this method to include the image as a data URI since it was so small - it's a 1x1 pixel 50% opacity png file (used for a background) - it ends up at 2,792 bytes as an image versus 3,746 bytes as text in the CSS. So would this be considered good practice, or would it just clutter up the CSS unnecessarily?

  • How can I get "Copy to Output Directory" to work with Unit Tests?

    When I build a unit test project before the tests are executed the test output is copied to a TestResults folder and then the tests are executed. The issue I'm having is that not all the files in the Debug/bin directory are copied to the TestResults project. How can I get a file that is copied to the Debug/bin directory to also be copied to the TestResults folder?     That is detect when the user makes web part changes and selects to exit editing the page. I want to be able to capture a page event, then create a SharePoint task to instruct a user to translate that page to another language (note that MOSS and variations is not an option because the client wants to use the free version of SharePoint). So the customer wants essentially the same WSS site in multiple languages.

I can probably hack it to make it work, but maybe I'm missing something. Is it how JQuery supposed to work ?

I'm looking for the same functionality like in Firebug (where you can enable "persistent" and the console is not cleared every time you reload a page or submit a form.
